I had some mixed feelings about this hotel at first but then warmed at the end of my stay. It's located on Mactan which is about 15min from the Airport. I have stayed at other hotels in similar price ranges and none match the level of quality that this hotel brings. The rooms are all efficiency style with full sized refrigerators and even cooking stoves. […] They are large, have beautiful bathrooms and actual bath tubs which are rare in the Philippines especially for a hotel in this price range. The beds are wonderful and proper Euro/North American quality. The hotel has a great coffee house attached to the front, a 24 hour shop for water and goodies and a nice bar in the back with daily live music. It's actually a really nice bar with good talent just that it is fairly unknown and unused. The pool is also lovely. The only bad experience I had was with the aircon units in not one but two of the rooms. The aircon semi-failed or did not work properly in either room and took a move to a third room before I got a working aircon. Thankfully the staff and the manager were extremely helpful and nice and fixed my problem the following days. There was only one problem at this corporate rental company's hotel: as a couple you can not sleep together in any of the hotel rooms. Perhaps in one of the $70k USD a month villas but not in the hotel itself. There are only 2 double beds in every room. This Hotel is compare to the other Hotels in Lapu-Lapu a good choice, very comfortable Beds, also a Balcony and a Bathtube. When i was there they had a Korean English Classes for 2 Month so its kind of noisy also if u have a Room near the Street. They also have a Swimmingpool. Hotel is a bit old-fashioned and swimmingpool looks rather small compared to the nice photos on hotel's website. Service staff is very friendly and helpful but does mostly not understand basic english. I would recommend this hotel for a short stay only.

This hotel could be very nice if it were properly maintained. The staff work very hard to accommodate unhappy customers, but they can only do so much with the infrastructure available to them. The 'fitness room' is absolutely appalling. The equipment is dirty and in many cases literally taped together. There was water all over the floor and the cooler […] had no drinking water. Most of the equipment was inoperable. The swimming pool is open until 10:00 pm but so poorly lit, it would be unsafe to swim after sunset. The pool isn't very clean either. Overall this hotel is extremely poor value for the money in comparison to most other hotels in this price range in many other parts of Asia that I have travelled. In comparison to 2days stay in Cebu city on sept 30-oct 1/2012, Crown Regency hotel& suites is more expensive & poorer quality accommodation than Harrolds hotel. Can not even close the curtains to have a restful sleep, noisy.

Service: The staff is very service minded. The communication between the different parts of the staff is poor. We called Housekeeping through the phone in our room asking them to bring us more tissue, but no one came. We found one of the cleaners pass by and got some from him instead. The cleaning staff forgot to take out our garbage which was in a cupboard in the kitchen. This happened 2 times.The beds are really comfortable! The AC in the room works really well, there is free internet access in the lobby as well as rooms. The pool area is very neat with a pool that's big enough for a swim. Other: Every time they cleaned our room we got 2 free 500ml bottles with water, which was much appreciated. The breakfast is good, but if you're looking for a bigger buffet or a western style breakfast - we do not recommend it. Personally we didn't think it was worth the money. It's better to use the kitchen in the room. Location: The hotel is located close to the bridge over to Cebu main island, where there are big shopping centers such as SM or Ayala. I chose the hotel because there is a kitchen in the room. I didnt like that i could not charge room service food to my room, wifi often didnt work, no change at front desk, a lot of noisy kids running around, most cardio equipment in gym was broken

I only got to stay a little over a day then I was off to the airport. My room was good and I loved the bed. I need to get me one. The only issue with me is getting a taxi after 9pm at night. It was difficult and took some time. But yes I will stay there again.

This hotel don't have all the aminities compared to other luxirious tourist hotels in Mactan; however the internet speed iis extremely fast for a business people. Breakfast is very good for the price paid by their guests. The employees were helpful and flexible to make your stay very comfortable.

Very disappointed with the service. Asked if the poolside dining was available at lunchtime (no one else was out there) and placed an order. Waited an hour without ever seeing staff again - no water, napkin and silverware - nothing. I was sure they forgot about me and went in the hotel to ask whichever employee I could find. Went looking for someone to get the bill and couldn't find a soul around. I left the dishes and planned on getting a bill at the front desk. Lo and behold - two employees came looking for me (I was one of only a few Americans there so I wasn't hard to describe or find). Tried to convert a $20 U.S. bill to pesos to pay the departure tax at the airport, but was told they didn't have the money available. I tried again four hours later and was told the same thing. How can they offer currency conversion and not have the equivalent of $20 in pesos to convert?? Received a 'free welcome drink' in the lounge, which I expected to be a glass of wine/beer or a cocktail. Instead they brought me a glass of lime green kool-aid looking fluid and was told the welcome drink was a mixture of sprite and lemon and lime juice. It was a horrible tasting mixture and I couldn't even get it down. (The food in the lounge was very good.) My room was very nice, but the surrounding area of the hotel was not attractive at all and I didn't feel particularly safe there. The view from my room looked out over the back of the nearby shops - a field with a few goats, scrubgrass, and a pile of trash. The website states there's an indoor pool, and when I asked I was told it was on the second floor. I scoured the hotel and never could find it so it can't be very big. i thought this time i would reach a beach but chose not to go alone on a half hour taxi ride to nearest one. almost enough at friendly hotel with attentive staff. enjoyed the pool. lots of korean kids on vacation to learn english added sounds of laughter and splashing. nestling up the 50's bar was perfect with live music and eyecatching bar tenders […] and waitresses. and excellent food. the offer to mail my postcards for 80 pesos was ridiculous though and inspired me to walk to town where i saw city hall and met the police chief where i exchanged an nypd patch for a lapulapu patch for my nyc friend. it gave me a chance to feel the pulse of the street, see daily life, lean lazy pooches in the shade. i suggested a blackboard in lobby for guests headed to the beach who prefer company for security even though a single woman from the states returned to say the beach was fine and she went alone. An extremely good hotel with very good , helpful staff and facilities . Very convenient for the airport . The only downside to it is the locality which is not very pleasant . You need to take a taxi whenever you leave the hotel . Ideal for one night before or after your flight .

Hotel was nice, but it is in the middle of nowhere. There is nothing nearby without a taxi ride. Needed the air conditioner fixed. Also, a floor drain emitted a foul odor which never did get fixed during the time I was there. Staff was good. Nice pool. But, better to stay in either Cebu City or one of the beach resorts.

The room was good, however, required a bit of maintenance. It appears it was a great hotel when built but lacks in up to date maintenance in all areas but acceptable. The room we stayed in on the 5th floor of the main street was quite noisy with traffic noise all day and night and with the occasional slaughtering of piglets just below our balcony . […] The breakfast was basically the same every day and quite bland. Ask for an omelet. A visit to the fifties club on the 3rd floor is worth it for food and drink. The staff were very obliging. The hotel was well located for my needs. The room was great and clean. I only wish they supplied more utensils for their kitchen, (silverware, plates, pots, pans, knives, utensils are not supplied), i got this room for the kitchen so i could cook for myself and save some money on food. The staff was great and very friendly and the doormen were awesome at getting cabs. The free breakfast was pretty good but if you get there later like any buffet style restaurant the food might be old, best if you get there first thing in the AM. One thing to watch for is the north side of the building is right next to a Lecheon place and although for 75% of my stay it was relatively quiet they got busy the last few days i was there and the squealing noise of them killing pigs at all times of the morning day and night can get really creepy and annoying. It is very loud and unsettling. If you've never heard it pigs don't die very easy and it can take up to 5 minutes for them to die and they have a deathly squeal the whole time. If i need to stay there again i will request the south side of the building. The view from the north side is nice though, great view of Mandaue city and Cebu city and both bridges, great sunrises. If you are wanting a place to stay overnight to rest up between flights, this is the place to stay. It is close to the airport, you can get a free shuttle to and from the airport. The neighborhood leaves a little bit to be desired. The hotel staff were there to serve the client. Most went out of their way to please you.

Despite the hotel being slightly in need of renovation, the room was clean. The hotel arranged a complementary pick-up at the airport. マクタン空港から車で約15分と近いホテルです。 周辺に気軽に入れる飲食店はおろかコンビニもないので、朝食は購入していった方がいいかもしれません。 それか朝食（バイキング）が300ペソで当日頼めて、まあまあ満足出来るので、そちらを選んだほうがいいかもしれません。 室内の設備に関して、トイレの水の流れが遅かったり、歯ブラシ等のクオリティがよろしくなかったりしましたが、問題ない範囲です。 ホテルの隣がすぐ民家（？）で夜や早朝に鶏の鳴き声が聞こえてきます。それくらいの音であれば気にならない方には、値段が安いので良いと思います。 ホテルの真横に外貨両替もあります。
