"Very Nice Hotel"
Excellent staff, they are very helpful and very nice restaurant and excellent reception by its staff, rooms are very comfortable; the only negative side is only one bath room available for an Executive Suite that I reserved. Else all are fine
"No fuzz"
Quite ok with friendly staff, always helping out and very polite. Location is ok, within 10-15 minutes walk away from Abu Dhabi mall. If you need any general stores, there are both supermarkets and shopping centres nearby.

Far from a 4 star Hotel, close to a 2 star. We had to change room because of noisy guests next door, call the room service for new water boiler, only towels for 1 person even if we were 2, had to argue about promised free parking that never existed etc... Everything had to be done the hard way and the decoration is from the 80's... All in all... you […] can find cheaper 2 star hotels offering a better stay... "Sands"
The hotel was an old hotel with a new frontage, the lifts seemed to tak for every (slow slow and then would pass your floor. The food (i had ribeyer beef) was poor and the breakfast hwas also poor. It has a couple of good good bars and is well located.

"Good location, reasonably priced"
This is my second stay at the Sands Hotel on a business trip. The elevators are extremely slow, but the service is pretty decent. The cleaners saw how much water I was drinking and always left extra in the room. The location is good for the exhibition center (roughly around 15 mins travel time and cab fare approximately AED 25). Good shopping nearby […] for snacks and other groceries. It costs about AED 60 from the airport, which is not as close as the hotel makes it out to sound. I enjoy the hotel for what it is. Rooms clean and tidy and large. A great bar down stairs. The meals are hugh and great value and the staff very friendly.

Staff are fantastic. Interior decor a little tired, which we were are told is in hand. Lifts didn't always stop where they should especially when at limit (5 persons) which considering their size seemed low. Only negative, with a bar on the first floor, some guests seemed to have "companions" which made for an uncomfortable feeling. Appalling lift situation, one out of order for months and the two others very slow. I asked for a king size bed but still not have it after 1 week. The food is good and well priced, the harvester bar very nice and clean with good regular band, staff very friendly.

Conviniently located right in the CBD of Abu Dhabi within easy reach of most tourist attractions. Fantastic rooms, foods and welcoming service, however management to work on internet (WIFI) reception in certain floor levels and rooms of the hotel. Overall, good bargain for a 3 star rating hotel.

I've spent 10 wonderful nights in this hotel. The room has got everything I need, although, the bathroom needs more care. Breakfast was amazing. Internet WiFi were available 24 hrs for each level. Staff were so polite.

excellent location, close to everything,bus and taxis just outside, staff were friendly and very helpful,room could be better, needs updating, but for the price you cant really complain. Overall I would say this hotel is great for people who are on a budget

Great location. Stayed for 5 days. Prompt service & satisfied with helpful & friendly staff. But key card needed to be formatted twice during the stay & buffet breakfast offers same food for 5 days.

stuff was cold and unhelpfull, the night crowd at the hotel is different than the guest there caue of the bar on he first floor. it ok for singles not to take your wife there.

Very smoky and run down hotel. Doors don't close. Bedsheets stunk of foul foot odor, our non smoking room was reeking of fresh cigarette smoke and fet very unsafe. The doors had paint missing and the locks were not working. The receptionist was also kind of short. Very below the stated 3 star standard.
