Bad food in buffet and runs out quickly. Restaurant reservations are hard to get. Only a few(2/3) restaurant open on a given day. Shuttle service is poor. It's not very close to the beach. Kids pool is useless. I was checking out at 6:45 AM and the Residents Suites desk was closed. I talk to main desk hotel at tropical and he said I can checkout in […] their desk. I got there and after waiting for few minutes for someone to show up, the time was 7:02 AM. Then he tells me that since it's past 7, I'll have to go back to Residents Suites to do the checkout process as it opens at 7. He offered to take the wrist band to smooth out the checkout process back in Resident suite. I went back to resident suites and now they won't let me checkout without the bands. I asked them to call Tropical but checkout lady hardly care about it. I had to go back to tropical to get the bands and return back to Residents suite to complete the process. Horrible service! Our rooms were very spacious and nice. The hotel and staff was very nice. We had a great time at this resort. The food was average but not bad. The drinks were excellent. The pool was very nice and the beach was beautiful. This was my second time going there.

The hotel was very nice for the cost you can't go wrong. The food was not very tasteful the resort is kind of isolated. This is not a vacation you want to take alone, but sure to included family and children.

This hotel is located in a big complex, everything happens at the tropical so the crowns in kind of dead, but the rooms are amazing and recently renovated. The food is not that great as you would expect in an all inclusive package. Night life is good at ice. The bartenders at las canas are excellent. For the price, this hotel was not bad. The rooms were clean and a nice size, 95% of the staff were very nice and accommodating. However, the difference between a VIP guests and others is no apparent that it doesn't make you want to go back. The buffet food was terrible!! They are a little slow but if you stay on them they respond. They seen to be a little prejudice against thier own people. The staff drive around in those golf carts a little bit reckless. I would stay there again it's a lovely hotel.

There were several things that I was a little bet disappointing: 1. We report that there was a bad smell and someone came and sprayed with an arosel and the smell was still, nothing done after that 2. We report the phone wasn't working 4x's and no did anything about it 3. I traveled from 5/7-5/13/12. There were only a few issues that we encountered: 1. I purchased the Crown Resident Suites, but received the Cofresi Hotel room. So if you are looking for peace and quiet on the weekend, you may not want to go to this hotel. 3. I was not too impressed with the beach. I have to say that Punta Cana was better in that sense. Hotel was nice but absolutely NO customer service. We booked and payed for 3 hotel rooms through Hotels.com one month before our departure. When we arrived we stood in the lobby for 3 1/2 hours before they made us pay an ADDITIONAL $40.00 U.S. per person per night on top of what we payed Hotels.com. They where claiming everyone in our party needed a […] passport to check in. We all had government I.D's which where valid and is stated in the website. This is not stated anywhere on the website...... What a waste of breath... We had to pay or leave. They even called security on us because we where right and would'nt shut up about paying the additional monies. I had to pay $ 400 extra to stay. Our stay at the Lifestyle Crown Residences began the first night with a drenching rain storm. It was a bit of bad timing as it happen to be the welcoming night of the Gala. The brave travelers, us included, tracked on to the crowded food tent and the celebration went on with awesome entertainment and spectacular fireworks. Food was plentiful as the […] menu provided a variety of offerings that should please the majority of appetites. The most delightful element of the event was the staff who kept spirits up with flowing drinks and ready smiles that conveyed their main desire was for their guests to have a good time. The rain continued off and on for the reminder of the week but the spirit of the staff did not waiver. From the desk clerk to house keeping anything you needed night or day was only a call away. Food servers and bartenders became your friends and even the timeshare salesman really will take no for an answer and remain pleasant throughout your stay. The spa was awesome and again I felt very appreciated and welcome. The grounds was beautiful and well maintained as were the rooms. One caveat to mention was my mattress was too firm for my taste however my sister's room had a much softer mattress so I can't be sure how the overall resort rated on bedding. The resort was very overall very relaxing, the entertainment outstanding, and best of all we had a wonderful time. Our three nights at Lifestyle Residence Suites was excellent. We found the resort to be beautiful, with outstanding accomodations, food, drinks, and entertainment. We booked a full day "Safari" tour to small villages in the the countryside. It was well worth the money we paid for the excursion. Mariano at the reception at Crown Residences is super helpful and completely professional. They staff in the Bellini restaurant were attentive and quick and the pizza chef was bang on. We know quite a number of the staff having been so many times and next time I will post all their names as a thank you! You cant say enough good things about the employees […] at any part of the resort. Keep in mind that this resort has varying levels of a wrist band system that allows you extra perks and services. I am always white band, cheap carribean, even booking with expedia. I, however, consider myself cheap Canadian so, whatever. The staff would never treat you differently on a personal level as it more to do with the areas that one can enter and the top shelf stuff that you can access. I am perfectly happy not having to park my golf cart whenever i move around the complex, please note that it is quite expansive and the residences are quite far from the main hotel. I joint the other people that say,if you are not VIP you get less attention,and the only thing i was very disapointed is that they use the pictures to decribed the standard rooms from the VIP o presidential suites to advertised the regular suites (totaly different in prerson),not what you see in the interner!.
