We reserved our room online and requested a non-smoking room. We arrived to a room that had not been cleaned from the prior guests, was a smoking room and had a very strong odor of both cigarettes and body odor. The clerk at the desk did not seem interested in resolving the issue and kept telling us that "we don't guarantee room preferences when you […] book online". She finally called her manager to see what could be done and we were told the hotel was sold out except for 1 other room. Our room was clean, the staff friendly, and it was up to par with other places we have stayed at for the same $$. The room was clean and did not smell of smoke, which has been a problem in other budget hotels.

The room key didn't work, so i went back to the desk on 4 different occasions. We left to visit family arrived back at the room about 1030 our cards didn't work again, the lady at the desk said she had to notify maintenance in the morning about the lock. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. Our non -smoking room was very smoky smelling though and there was green algae on the step leaving the indoor pool room. Other than that it was fine for one night.

The advertised heated indoor pool was too cold to swim in with the surrounding area very chilly. I asked the desk attendant for an extra pillow and she stated there were none. I was staying here so I didn't have to drive 3 hours home after a concert in Akron, and it seemed just fine. The worst part was coming in and the first light switch I flipped didn't turn on anything, so we had to wander into the room without a room light on, but all the other lights worked. It serves the purpose of a cheap hotel. Everything works but its not slick even for this class of hotel. The water was not hot. That was the most annoying aspect with all else being lackluster at best. The bed was ok and the room was large enough to move around in and spread out luggage etc.

Room was dirty, in need of cleaning and repair. Dogs barking in rooms across the hall at all hours. Hotel is in need of renovation and updating. Pool dirty and in need of repair, checked out early due to non working frig and filth.

The main room wasn't bad except the refrigerator rattled a bit. The base of the bathroom walls was molded there was a badly patched hole above the bath. I was mildly concerned with the ratings on this hotel, but it was perfect in location and price for what we needed, so I decided to give it a shot. At first, we were staying there because of a bowling tounament very close by and weren't able to check in until after 2:00, which wasn't a huge issue. Well, needless to say, we bunked up as necessary when we were told they were sold out otherwise. Other than those little hiccups, the hotel was overall very nice and cleaner than I had expected as according to the prior ratings. We had a nice tv, refrigerator and microwave in our room, very nice! Also, there was a small, but nice, pool in the hotel that I had wished I had brought my bathing suit. The only complaint I had was on the initial entrance of my room, the bathroom had urine in the camode. So I had to think the cleaners didn't clean the bathroom. Fist time ever experiencing that & a bed spread had either food or blood remnants on the underside of it.

The place was clean, nice, and convenient. The only, minor, complaint, was the cigarette smoke smell. However, I think the room below smoked, but it wasn't bad, at all.

They need more towels n a room even if only one person is staying. Table in room a little wobbly but otherwise it was great stay! I recomend it. I hope to go back again sometime.Staff very nice. I would not recommend staying at this hotel. Sure, it is ten dollars cheaper a night then the other hotels across the street but there were multiple hairs (some more disgusting than others) in my bed, the bathroom was filthy, half of my lights were burnt out, and the refrigerator didn't work.

While the room was clean - it was in need of a lot of work - half the lights/electric outlets were not working. Peeling wallpaper in the bathroom. The arm chair had seen better day - springs gone - sank into it. The air/heat register needed vaccuming - lots of dirt and particles.
