Chisun Hotel Ueno - Tokio

Room and hotel were adequate, clean, comparable to other basic hotels in Tokyo. Staff OK, good wi-fi in lobby area. Location OK, walking distance to Ueno station but not much else in area. Not my first choice, but available during busy holiday weekend.

Hi , It was a good hotel , if your on a budget. Clean, comfortable . wifi in lobby. Very quiet . Staff were very good . I had a single room , which was small , its hard to leave your case open , that was the only thing . About a 10 to 15 minutes walk to Ueno station . I found a supermarket around the corner 5 minutes.

The staff were friendly and some spoke good English. Check in was no problem and we managed to pay a bit extra to check in early as were very jet lagged. Room was good with fridge and good bathroom amenities. Nice and quiet. Would stay again.

The location is ok. it took about 15 minutes either from 'Subway Station' or 'JR Station' to hotel on foot. If you get there early, be prepared to wait until 3 pm before they let you check in. One computer is free to use. We stayed in a semi double bed room, the room is clean but it is very small. We stayed there for 4 nights and back there after 10 […] days then stayed for another 2 nights. We could leave our luggage there free of charge. It was very hard to communicate with the staff as they could not speak good English. We were disappointed that the staff refused to help us confirm our flight tickets. The hotel was clean and safe, the staff was helpful and courteous. There was one staff member who spoke decent English (somewhat limited) and other who knew a little English. The location was good at perhaps 8-10 minutes from Ueno station and a Starbucks coffee shop. About 4 or 5 minutes away there was a mom and pop shop that sold Musubi (triangular […] rice balls) and some sushi rolls, a 24 hour grocery store, and a coin laundry (laundromat). My group left Tokyo for a three day trip with return reservations at the Chisun Hotel Ueno and asked the hotel to hold our large bags until we returned, which they did at no additional charge. The hotel was clean, convenient, staff was helpful and efficient. Rooms were a bit small, but not by Japanese standards. Coin laundry and market near by. Ginza line subway stop within a couple of blocks. Terrific mom and pop musubi shop around the corner for breakfast, lunch or a quick snack. Great deal for the price. I would stay there again.

This hotel is a short walk from Ueno station and the Keisei skyliner station (handy if you're traveling to/from Narita airport). There are several shops and malls nearby. We stayed in a semi-double room and found the size to be adequate for two people. The room was very clean and tidy. I would definitely stay here again if I was in Tokyo.

This is the second time I have stayed here. The location is very handy, right by the train station. The staff are friendly and helpful, the rooms are lovely. The only let down is that you need to lug your bags up a few steps to reach the lobby and lift.

5 to 10 minute from Ueno station but 3 minutes from Inaricho metro. Lawson and Post Office nearby. Inside the single room is small but enough to put a baggage. Toilet bowl comes with a Washlet. We enjoyed staying at Chisun Ueno. The room for the 2 of us was quite big for a J-standard. The Hotel and our room are clean. The staff at the Reception Desk is superb. The Hotel location is very convenient: - It takes only 5 minutes walk from Ueno Keisei Station where we caught the Cityliner Train to and from the Narita Airport. The Ueno Keisei Station […] is located next to the Ueno Station where we caught the Yamanote and Joban Lines. - The Ueno Park & The Ueno Zoo are also located next to the Ueno Station and the Ueno Keisei Station. - It takes less than 10 minutes walk to Okachi Machi where the shops (Takeya, Matsumoto Kiyoshi, etc) & restaurants (Kaiten Sushi Rest., Sukiya, Yoshinoya, Starbucks, McDonalds, etc) and Matsuzakaya Dept. ...everything's cool. It was a bit hard to find this hotel because the sign wasn't illuminated, but it is about a 10 minute walk from JR Ueno Station. I had a backpack and rollaboard and didn't find the walk that arduous.
