"2nd Chance and Equally Disappointing"
This was the 2nd time I booked Ascott and It was very disappointing. The hotel is currently undergoing renovation but most of the floors are still old, smelly and with outdated furniture. I asked to be moved and they offered us a newly renovated room on the 18th Floor. I was traveling with Family booked it due to its perfect location and entertainment […] options for my family while I was in meetings, besides that it was poorly managed, slow service and low quality food (even for breakfast). The staff is well intentioned and try their best to attend your requests but: 1) No towels ready in the room everyday for 5 days we had to ask for it 2)Taxi wait was fairly long and the staff failed to request credit card enabled taxis 3) The hotel has recently changed their policy and breakfast is no longer included. On the other hand, internet connection on the new rooms is perfect, the location is ideal if your trip involves meetings in the city center or shopping/nightlight or food (great restaurants nearby). "Worst Hotel Ever"

My advice is to avoid the place. The room was dirty - dust everywhere; in bad repair - bathtub, iron stained my shirt with rust and poor service - room service took an hour and there is a long (30 minute) wait for taxis. Also it was very noisy. Hotels.com did not warn me that the building was being renovated. Jack-hammering begins at 8am and lasts until […] 8pm. "Ascott Jakarta is a terrible hotel"
This hotel is absolutely terrible and what makes it worse is that they have used airbrushed or fake photos on their website and misleading descriptions of the facilities to make it seem much better than what it really is. The Studio rooms are terrible. The one bedroom apartments are better. If you do get a Studio keep complaining until they upgrade […] you. They also don't respect non-smokers and provide smoking rooms when a non-smoking room is booked. If I had known what this hotel was really like I would have gone elsewhere. The hotel is in poor condition, it is also gloomy and mosquito infested. There is a washing machine in the room but the dryer doesn't work so you have to hang your clothes in the bathroom. There are a lot of little maintenance issues that do not get attended to like broken cupboards and lights. The staff are friendly but useless. The maid service is very inconsistent and if you don't put the 'Do not disturb' sign on they will knock on your door at 8:30am. They will give you massive amounts of soap which you don't need but they wont replace the tea bags so you can only have 2 cups of tea no matter how many days you stay there. Sometimes they ask you if there is anything else you want them to do and then they mostly ignore the requests, probably because they didn't understand what you said. The free buffet breakfast is terrible and not worth bothering with. All they provide is cereal, toast, fruit, eggs and some dodgy hot food. There is no restaurant or bar in this hotel but rooms do have stoves & fridges so you can cook your own food. There are 3 supermarkets nearby but the Thamrin City Hypermart is hard to find and has limited western food while the 2 inside the Grand Indonesian mall have imported western food but are more expensive. You can buy beer in all the supermarkets though. The "complimentary" wireless internet only works in the lobby and not in the room. Rooms are very dated and needs a fresh look badly. Service standards can be better and staff's standard of English can be improved. Location is excellent, close to Grand Indonesia, a big shopping mall with lots of restaurants and shopping.Autentične Hotels.com recenzije gostiju
"ちょっと残念"
ツインルームのシングル使いで予約しましたが、アップグレードしてくれていました。ツインとダブルの部屋が一部屋ずつあり、バスルームが2つ、リビング、キッチンまでついているすごい部屋でした。 残念ながら、バスタブのシャワーヘッドが故障、トイレが流れない、停電2時間...とちょっと不具合が続き、快適とは言えませんでした。朝食はチャージに含まれていましたが、ビュッフェの品数が少なく、残念でした。 でも、インターネットは無料で、速度もそこそこで快適でした。Autentične Expedia recenzije gostiju
