Bebek Tepi Sawah Restaurant and Villa - Ubud

Don't let the out of town location put you off. This is a delightful hotel with a very convenient shuttle service. The room was large and clean with an attractive view of the gardened pool area and the restuarant offers an unusual dining experience.

Enjoyable, relaxing and peaceful interlude. Lush gardens full of orchids in bloom. Pool, with its duck fountains arround the edge, provided a cooling and refreshing end to a busy day. Bit far out to walk in to Ubud, but hotel shuttle service overcame that. Attached fine art gallery is a must to visit, as is ARMA - an art museum and garden a short 10 […] minute walk down the road. Watch out for the traffic! Enjoy looking at the wood carving along the way. Happy Hour, providing half price cocktails overlooking the pool, was great. Room was clean. Bed comfortable. The balcony door is difficult to close - have to push hard. The office chair is broken. I told front desk about it but I guess they forgot to change it the next day. My 2 teens and I experienced a very warm welcome. We were shown to the most gorgeous room, very large and beautifuly made up. A massive bath which I enjoyed soaking in. The pool areas were lovely. The breakfast was modest, but sufficient. I will definetly go back to this hotel again and stay a little longer next time.

The hotel is not near Ubud centre. You have to book their hotel transport well before (maybe the night before) otherwise you would have to fork out 50000 rupiah to get a taxi to Ubud centre. The breakfast is ok. Room aircon is quite weak and you need to switch it on whole day to have a cool room. The openair shower is interesting though. Privacy is […] assured. There's also an interesting art gallery at the hotel which is well worth a visit. Ubud villa room at 2nd storey is ok, but don't hold a high expectation on the rice field view. You are basically overlooking some plots of rice field with another rows of guesthouses about 100m away. Your rice field view is partly blocked by the trees outside your balcony. We were pleasantly surprised. Big modern rooms. 2 pools. Magical gardens. Breakfast is set not buffet but is plenty. About 20 min walk out of Ubud central but a free shuttle is pretty much on hand to get you there and back so wasn't a problem. No gym, they recommended one 5 min walk away...Massa's which is a dive. Bebek Tepi Sawah is super clean, with beautiful lush grounds. The 2 pools are amazing, we had a 1st floor bedroom with a patio and a rice field view. We had the breakfast included, we also ate dinner almost every night at the hotel because it was absolutely delicious. We used once the courtesy shuttle to go to the monkey forest, we did not have to wait […] a long time for the ride. The hotel area is beautiful and peaceful and the rooms have a paradiselike touch to them with their own little verandas. The hotel is not in the center of Ubud but the hotel offered a free shuttle service and we also rented a scooter for a few days. The walk to the center was also an okay approximately half an hour stretch of legs. Hence the distance is not really a problem. Would recommend this to couples wishing to enjoy each others company. It was a very lovely experience in Tepi Sawah. The service is exceptional and the villa we stay has a beautiful rice field view. The room is very clean and more like vintage style rather than hotel, which we preferred. The villa also has free transport to town, once they forgot to pick us up from a spa and we have to find our own transport back to the […] hotel. We notified the hotel we didn't get picked up from the spa, they apologised and give the money back to us for the taxi which it was beyond our expectation! Paid half as much here as previous villa in Seminyak and this was much better. The grounds are really well kept with a lovely pool and lots of statues / gods to look at. Views over the rice terraces are very peacefull. Staff are very friendly and helpfull, room comfortable / clean with a small private garden at front, mosquito coils are lit for you […] each night which definitely helps. A free shuttle service into centre of Ubud is easily available to order and only ten minute journey. Breakfast is small but good. The attached restaurant has great views and reasonably priced, the food was a bit hit and miss mind, the 'cock fighting chicken' must have lost a few fights given its scrawny state! Going only on Expedia's recommendation Bebek Tepi Sawah was amazing from the moment we walked through the gate into a luscious garden and the reception. Greeted with a cold drink, gardens are lush and tropical. Rooms huge with a large verandah and daybed. The initial impression of Tepi Sawah was great! The atmosphere is awesome and the rooms are just amazing. That being said, we did request an upstairs room a couple of months before our trip, which they confirmed, then never gave us. We stayed in Bataun 103, which is a gorgeous villa only a stones throw from the restaurant and pool. The room feels very […] relaxing, and most nights we'd sit on the veranda and enjoy the balmy nights, free from bugs because of the mosquito coils they'd come and light for us each evening. My only real complaint would be the service. It seems very, very slow. Apart from breakfast, we were always waiting ages for food/drink from the hotel restaurant. We were also left stranded in the middle of Ubud one night because the shuttle bus never came to pick us up (booked for 8pm and we waited til 8:40), and no-one really seemed to care when we mentioned it. And after our mains were brought out at the main restaurant, they seemed to forget about us too. Although the crispy duck is as good as they say ;) Having to rely on the shuttle to get to and from town got a bit tiresome, but it was probably worth it for the relaxing feeling at the hotel. Tepi Sawah is a small boutique villa hotel situated some distance out of the main area of Ubud and was a very secluded and relaxing place to stay. We did not consider the distance to be a problem as the hotel provided a courtesy car at your request from early morning until quite late at night; In fact we very much enjoyed the outlook over rice paddies […] and being away from the main shopping areas. The rooms were actually nicer and bigger than they appeared in the photos! and that does not happen very often. We also enjoyed the private dining area for breakfast away from the main restaurant. The grounds of Tepi Sawah were absolutely beautiful, and the staff was very attentive; however, I would not stay here again or recommend this hotel to others due to the location. It was simply too far to walk to anywhere and there were not shops/stores/sites on the roads leading up to Tepi Sawah. You are very isolated here and at the mercy of the hotel […] for transport, which they only provide between 9a-10p - and you often have to wait 10-15 min for a ride. By contrast, another hotel I stayed at in the area, which was also outside of central Ubud, was still within walking distance (10-15 min) along streets with shops/restaurants/spas along the way, and provided transportation at any time, which I never had to wait for. Bel hôtel, Très calme, quelques petits problèmes de maintenance mais vite réparés. Service de navette très pratique pour les centres d'intérets d'Ubud et gratuit!
