Spent two nights with my family, we were upfraged to a junior suite for just 40 quid extra which was nice, the room was comfy and we had great service. we plan to stay there again on our next visit.

Gorgeous hotel, felt luxurious, large rooms, comfy beds...though it was cold at night unless you put up with the noisy air conditioning so a blanket in the wardrobe would have helped. And expensive parking... But lovely food and nice staff!

Good hotel, close to Temple Meads and bus stop to airport. Otherwise not very central and poor facilities in immediate area. More suitable for overnight stay on way to airport. Clean and good size room with amenable staff.

bed good, clean room, good size bathroom. mini bar was empty but wasn't bothered. drinks were a bit expensive in the bar. just short of a tenner for an orange juice and lemonade and a small diet coke. excellent location, walked to town. we did however get a bit too drunk and ended up in the wrong hotel trying to get in our room. pictures on the wall […] gave it away in the end. so as you can see, we had a good time. didnt have to leave till 12 so gave us time to sober up. most place say 10 or 11. would stay again. We had stayed in the hotel previously and were very happy on that occasion. This time, however, the room was on the ground floor very near the reception area. The pool was clean, and a good temperature - easy to access from my room. An easy walk from the hotel to the quayside. Plenty of parking although be prepared to pay the £12 per night. Did not use the spa so cannot comment. Staff friendly and helpful.

Fine, close to Floating Harbour area which was great. Room good although heating through air con which is not particularly quiet. Pool changing room not very well maintained.

Didn't notice details on the website regarding parking offsite as the small car park at the hotel was full. Had been given a 'Smokers' room which was disgusting and couldn't be moved as the hotel was full. As a result breakfast was provided FOC. Stayed here for a 3 nights when weather was ~0C. Surprisingly, for a place which makes a big deal about its green credentials & awards, the room only had single-glazed windows & thus terrible insulation from the cold. Had to have the blackout curtains closed & heating on full whenever we were in the room to be at all comfortable. The bed / mattress […] was pretty cheap & uncomfortable - below par in comparison to most other hotels I've stayed at for this price point / star rating. The breakfast was included in our room rate and had a good broad selection leaving us filled up for the day's adventures. The location, halfway between the city center & Temple Meeds Station, was perfect for us, given that we had a day trip planned to Bath and it was easy to walk into the old town centre, or harbour front for a good selection of restaurants. The front desk / restaurant / housekeeping staff were all very friendly & helpful. The pool was small, but deserted when we used it on sunday afternoon, so we had plenty of room for a bit of exercise & relaxation. The wireless access is free in all rooms, but they throttle the connection and offer a pay-off "business wireless" option to remove the speed restrictions & allow VPN access. We stuck with the free wireless which was still acceptably fast for browsing the web to locate tourist destinations / restaurants / etc - just don't expect the free wifi it to cope with streaming iPlayer video. No complaints or irks whatsoever. Rooms are beautiful, restaurant great. 3 course meal at £18 reasonably priced plus got a free large glass of wine at check in. One of the best hotels in Bristol.

Great location, helpful staff and pleasant room. Let down badly by the swimming pool and the changng rooms which were in need of a good clean!

Wow... this hotel absolutely blew me away, so much so that I stayed another night! The staff have been incredibly well trained and offer a great level of service that comes across very natural. My room was incredible - it was ginormous and made the stay even more enjoyable! If you're looking for a hotel in Bristol, you've found your place!

Rooms are usually too hot for me in hotels. Not a problem in the mercure. But apart from that it was a fine stay for a short business trip. Wrong end of town for a social visit to bristol i'd say.

great for all ages, very helpful and friendly staff, breakfast expensive if booked on day but book it when you check in and its 50% cheaper - rooms are good sized and well presented. food in bar and restaurant were very good. child friendly. not huge amount of parking and did cost £12.00 for 24 hours but was secure.

So a friend and I booked 2 nights accommodation separately ie I booked the friday and she booked the saturday. When we checked in we advised we wanted to stay in the same room. The reception staff dealt with this quickly and efficiently and even changed our room to a double double so we each had a double bed. The room was huge with a massive window […] to let the light in. Not a great view, just the car park, but that wasn't a problem. A lovely tv, lots of plug sockets, nice bathroom and shower. Room service was great. There was not enough light in the room at night but this is a global problem in any hotel not just this one! I only tried the restaurant at breakfast but this was great and well stocked. Drinks at the bar should not be attempted unless you are rich or want to take out a bank loan! The pool was lovely. Nice mood lighting and a couple of chairs. We will stay again. Pročitajte više

have how close it is to the train station so when you comung with alate train you dont have to go that far! same time it is close to city centre, approx 10mins walk.. so basically its a very nice location..

Good hotel - just feel that the parking charge was a little much as £12 for the night and that the room could have been cleaner. Other than that the room was good and the ipod lead to play music was a nice touch.

I use this hotel frequently for business use. The standard is always high and the staff welcoming. The location is great for the City Centre. The sink in the bathroom was dirty but unfortunately we did not realise it until we had returned to our room later that evening, by which time it was too late to say anything. When we went to breakfast, we turned the cups over and 2 out of 4 cups were still dirty, as were the buffet plates. Breakfast: Very pleased with the Kitchen garden range of jams, also avoidance of the individual packets, spacious rooms, free wifi, lovely pool, TV didn't work but i didn't mind, I was intrigued by the two forks on the floor outside my room, which stayed there from 14.00 and were still there at 2am. Nice, smart and comfy hotel.

The good things about this hotel were really good - friendly staff, nice cotton bedding and towels and comfortable bed - but the room was very tired, the cleaning just OK and the lighting apalling. By this I mean that it was so dark that I could not read anything in the room, or check my clothing, or even just find thing easily. Good location, clean rooms with plenty of space, helpful and friendly staff, good breakfast. Noisy airconditioning and uncomfortable pillows meant a poor night's sleep
