Hotel and service very nice. Good breakfast Everything good but the surrounding area. There is a nice mall called Robinson quite close by and it is nice and a comfortable place to walk around and find good eating establishments. A very short trip by taxi!

Located not in the best neighborhood. Got to be cautious/careful when stepping out of the hotel. Many pimps bother you when they know you are a tourist. Located in the city center. Easy transportation.

City Garden Suites was my second hotel in a 32 days vacation in the Philippines. It as awesome. The staff was great. All the way from the girls at the front desk, to the business office, the dining room, the bar, house keeping and bellmen. Everyone was extremely polite and helpful. It was a pleasure to stay there. I felt like a member of the family […] at the bar, as I enjoyed a few drinks and some conversation. The business office worked out a terrific outing for myself and a friend to Panjansen Falls, The personal driver was also a great tour guide and extended the outing a little to see other points of interest. While I was at the business office I wanted to print out a couple of travel documents, the computer was occupied so the girl insisted I use her desk and computer. Every-time I walked into the lobby I was greeted by ,at least, 5-6 employes before getting to my room. The men at the front door were as helpful as any I encountered during my trip. The room was great ans reasonably priced. It is close to parks and other tourist areas and a short taxi ride to a couple of malls. On my next visit to this wonderful country City Garden Suites will be my main hotel. Everything you would expect from a 3star hotel - clean rooms, good breakfast, value for money. Front desk staff was great, upgraded our rooms and very accomodating to our requests. Will definitely stay again at this hotel in the future

I arrived late past midnight and the staff greeted me well and accommodated me. The hotel offered me also a bell boy to helped me in my luggage. Surprise singly, the room is well appointed for a standard hotel. They have all the basic facility you need for single traveler like me. i would like to give this hotel 3-4 star.

My reservation was including breakfast.. I dont get any as it was not showing in their system. I dont know who..? is responsible for that..online system or hotel. regret i paid from own pocket for breakfast..too bad its not about $$ its principle..I should be compensate for that instead of just sorry..!

City Garden is a good place to stay right in Ermita (by Malate). The price is good and the breakfast is good if you like traditional Filipino dishes usually served at dinner. Wi-Fi connectivity was solid throughout the hotel. However, I was a little disapponted when I saw what the "Superior" room was; it appeared to be nothing different from a Standard […] room. It is located near one of Manila's (many) large malls and the night life has at least a good 12 bars all within walking distance. However, many of those bars are "juicy-girl" bars, with their guys hovering outside the hotel entrance. Also, the neighborhood is nasty, seedy and can be a little dangerous. Ultimately, if you want a decent hotel at a good price and don't mind (or don't spend any time in) the neighborhood--or if you want night life on a budget, then City Garden is a good pick. You get good value in the three star category. The wifi was too slow. The breakfast was good. As the neighbourhood is poor and has red light, perhaps better not with family. Cowboy grill right across the street has good live music. The rooms are clean and security is good, too.

The room was small. The hot water did not work until the breakers in the room were reset. There was construction next door that was loud all day. The neighboring buildings were in scary shape. There were 10 bums living on the street within one block of the hotel. The walk up price is 30% more than an online price was.

This was our 3rd stay and was only an overnight before my flight home. I made the reservations 3 months in advance (prepaid) and it took them at least 15 minutes to find a room. They did upgrade us but we really didn't have the time to enjoy the upgrade! Still no tonic or mangoes!

This was our 2nd stay. The hotel is in a convenient location. It was clean and comfortable and the staff was great. However I had asked for a room with a window (on the last trip we asked to be changed to a room with a window after the 1st night) and a transformer for my laptop. These requests were made 3 months in advance. Meanwhile I switched to a […] tablet so I didn't need the transformer, but no one referred to my request. The window looked out to another window - no view - and they were not able to switch us to another room. The bar never did have any tonic for the entire week! I requested a queen size room but was given a room with a full size bed and a single size bed, (even though I booked in advance). The elevators were out of order and we had to walk 3 floors up. Upon check out, bell service took about 15 minutes to help us with luggage. By the time they got there, we were halfway down the stairs carrying our own luggage. The hotel provided 1 toothbrush only with 2 checked in guests, and the hotel did not have parking for hotel guests. The toilet […] would not flush and we had to call maintenance to fix the problem. Rooms in the new annex are DEFINITELY better than in the old part of the building. New air con, larger bathroom, quiet, clean, excellent room overall for the price. We stayed in Super Deluxe room with 2 queen beds.

I like how the employees that I met reacted with courtesy.when I ask for something that I didn't expect to get. I had a friend that came by, at the hotel, and I had something to give but I didn't have an extra bag to give, so I ask one of their employee if he could find me one and there it is I got one.

our stay in the hotel for 1 night is a good experience, hotel is clean, the staff are friendly. aqnd courteous, they make sure that taxi wont overcharge you...breakfast was superb...will probably come back and recomend to our friends. the downside is the location, its the red light zone, a lot girls walking...but otherwise no problems.

Just so you know, I am from New York. I chose this hotel because it had three things that I look for. Free wifi, breakfast included in price, bathtub/shower availability. I wanted my fiancee to be able to take a bubble bath, and so having a tub was to my liking. The fact that the room did not come with a queen or king sized bed but rather came with […] 2 single beds put together was an item that put my rating down a little bit. The wifi was very slow, but at least it was available. They only offer free complimentary water on the first night. No matter how many nights you stay, they will only give the complimentary two bottles of water on the first night. I think they should specify that up front in their advertising on hotels.com so that people can know in advance. I think it is a very tacky policy. the short order cook at breakfast who made the eggs was a nice guy and hard worker. However, they should supply him with two skillets and not just one, so that the egg orders could be completed and served faster. They give you one napkin at breakfast nad if you ask for more they usuall just give you one more. I notice that most of the Philippine hotels seem to be stingy when it comes to napkins. The air conditioning in the room was good. In fact it was too good as I caught a cold from the air constantly blowing on me. I had not had a cold in about 5 years prior to that. They provided complimentary tea bags in the room, however, they were inconsistent and we didn't get them everyday. They had no shower caps available and no complimentary slippers or robes. The water emptying down into the drain in the sink was slow. We usually did not have to wait long for the elevator. The noise of roosters outside was constant (all day and all night). I always thought that roosters made their noise for a little while early in the morning. Ugh! the bed!! VERY UNCOMFORTABLE! the worst bed I have ever slept at. It's so shaky I woke up with a headache. It's too small for a 6 footer. Deluxe rooms are too small it doesn't look like deluxe rooms! beds are small. Ask for a bucket of ice and I still have to pay PHP15 I mean.. that's just greedy!

Good location, large friendly staff, quality restaurant (Lunch Dinner), business center. The breakfast buffet has only few items for Americans/Europeans, cereal, salad, omlets. The large breakfast staff speaks only very basic english. Some items missing temperarely or completely. The whole wheat bread was missing for days. This is our 3rd time in this hotel. The 1st stay was really good and they upgrade us to the new wing when we complaint obout the toilet being flooded. The 2nd stay, we booked a 1 bedroom assuming that it will be in the new wing, however it was in the old wing but good enough. Ont he 3rd time of our stay, we only check in for 1 day as our connecting […] flight is due on the same day. We arrived at 5.30am and there was only 1 person at the reception with people waiting to check in and check out. I was finally served and was given the key in the new wing, however, the bellboy advised us that there is no towel yet and bottled water. He told us that he will bring them in but we only got the towel ,no bottled water. I ask the reception to provide us the water but non came.
