The Hotel is situated in a secluded part of Carvoeiro, about a €5 taxi ride (not including tip) to the Town. The Town is small, Kinda like a mini... Albufeira. Lovely local restaurants, a few bars, and depending on the time of year - live music on the square between June & July great atmosphere and eclectic mix of people! Well worth the Taxi ride every night! Breakfast is OK at the hotel, I wouldn't recommend eating there at dinner unless necessary, as the hotel is a ghost town at night! Great views, and nice Pools on two levels- surprisingly we were usually the only people around the top pool other than a few locals for a couple of hours a day max. Staff are friendly but have a very laid back attitude. Stayed in a Junior Suite which was comfortable and stylish, but attention to detail was lacking... the air conditioning unit is so far away from the bed it got really stuffy at night. It also looked as if the room had been decorated by the 60 minute make over team - great fixtures but slightly "bodge job" which you don't see in the photos! All in all, you can get some great deals on Hotels.com so for the price you pay, this hotel is well worth the stay for a short break for a couple looking for a relaxing time to rejuvenate! But if your looking for a more upbeat holiday or you have children that need to be entertained I would go somewhere closer with more facilities.
