"Misinformation at check-in"
The room was good and the location en route very handy. Unfortunately at check-in we were led to understand the $100 pre-authorisation would be credited back to our mastercard on checkout. Staff is friendly and helpful, the rooms are clean and rsurprisingly large, the complimentary continental breakfast is OK, the Free wi-fi was a bit slow but also OK, and parking is free. I chose this hotel because it as close to the local airport; I was in the area on business so I did not visit the surrounding area. This […] hotel is located near a large military facility so I suspect it may be noisy from time to time. My visit proved to be a very quiet one. I did not get a chance to go for a swim in the indoor pool. This is a good place to stay if you are on business or there for a short stay - this is not a resort or vacation type hotel. This is the second time we have stayed here. It's fairly new and very comfortable, but the decor (especially hallway paint and carpet) looks dated. Only hotel in Oromocto - needed a place 5 minutes from Military Base visiting family. Not a fan of Days Inns but was pleasantly suprised with the cleanliness of the premises and the courteous staff. Convenient location for Fredericton airport. Had one bedroom suite, floors creak and people (had kids) above us ran around till midnite, stomping on the floor. We got a good deal on the website for a two night stay at Days Inn, Oromocto We were even upgraded to a lovely suite because of room availability. My daughter lives in the area, and because my son is so allergic to her dogs, we planned to stay for two nights and visit her during the day. The boys enjoyed the pool on the first night. Then we got a phone […] call saying my mother had a stroke and was in the hospital. They said it didn't look good. We grabbed our stuff and hit the highway back home. We have stayed at the Days Inn several times and find it very convenient and reasonably priced. The continental breakfast could offer a little more to choose from, but is okay. "OK But Could Be Better"
Hotel was clean but my garbage wasn't cleared out dally. Bed was comfortable. Choice of items for the breakfast was limited. Rooms lack fridges and microwaves. Fitness room's eliptical exerciser was not working and could not be repaired during my stay. Staff was friendly and courteous. The hotel was very nice. However, we were on a floor where there were rooms for smokers so we could smell cigarette smoke in the hallways and actually in our room. It was interesting though that in our room there was a sign stating that if anyone was to smoke in that room there would be a $200.00 fee to clean. Lovely hotel, close to CFB Gagetown. Room was clean, comfortable and had everything I needed. The breakfast was a perfect start to the day - and had great hours (6am to 10am). "In need of more cots"
I just want to say that the people serving us at this hotel were very accommodating when possible. I was a lone baseball/hockey mom staying with 3 very large teen-aged boys and one King sized bed would certainly not do. They were able to provide me with one cot but those 3 boys in the one bed were definitely a tight fit the 1st and second night. I asked […] them for a second cot but to no avail. They just did not have any or so they said.... on the 3rd day they were able to switch me to a std room with 2 queen and I could keep the cot. That was a much more comfortable situation.
