About what we expected from a luxury hotel. Meals and Bar quite pricey even by Chilean standards. Our breakfast was included as part of our package and we took advantage of that and we had exceptional service from Jose Luis in the restaurant. "A truly beautiful hotel"
This hotel truly is a cut above the rest. What a beautiful hotel with so much to offer. The rooms were very spacious, clean, and comfortable. We stayed in an Oceanfront balcony room with an amazing view. We ordered room service and enjoyed breakfast on the balcony. What a treat! We took advantage of the gym which had great and all new equipment. There […] is a trainer on site and fitness classes throughout the week as well. All free to guests. There are restaurants on site, a hair salon, indoor and outdoor pool, bars... Everything you need is right on the premises. We even utilized a travel agent located right in the lobby to book our vineyard tour. We drove a lot up and down Vina del Mar area and we agreed that we made the right choice to stay at the Sheraton - we did not see any hotels that came close to comparing with the Sheraton. "Extraordinary Views"
We (2 adults) stayed one night, our 2nd visit. Rooms excellent: large, king size bed, good safe, super bath room, room modern and pleasant, altogether well-appointed. Best of all the view: hotel slightly to the north of Valparaiso, rooms above the sea (and rocks) so you look out over the bay, a beach to one side, birds everywhere, and Valparaiso spread […] out to the southeast – marvelous at night. Hotel look and ambiance very refined. Welcoming manner.: reception staff fluent in English, and the hotel sensitive to North Americans' wishes. Attractive restaurant overlooking the bay: you can sit out on the terrace and enjoy a smoke without bothering others. Breakfast buffet good, eggs prepared specially are notably fine, but the choice of foods more limited than in equivalent hotels in Santaigo, Chile. The hotel sits on the ocean between Vina del Mar, the resort town, and Valparaiso, the working port, so a bit tricky to get to and leave – make sure you get detailed directions. Because of location possible to drive or take taxis to attractions, notably museums and shopping and restaurants, in both cities (Vina best for shopping, Valparaiso for museums) -- budget fifteen minutes or more to get anywhere. In Valparaiso foreigners best to park the car in the downtown area (there are underground parking lots) and take taxis unless you relish driving up and down hills thru winding roads surrounded by aggressive drivers. The setting is spectacular, room size generous, staff personable and professional, and hotel facilities such as the fitness center almost over the top. This brings two particular shortcomings into stark relief. 1. No Free WiFi in rooms. We stayed in Putre, a village with no paved streets, that offered this service. 2. "Great hotel let down by service"
We had a great weekend in the hotel where we had been to many times over the past five years and where in the past we got excellent service. This time however, I noticed that staff serving on the terrace were particularly slow, inattentive and in general did not seem to take the initiative. The men's toilet in the bar was broken and water gushing out […] and when I told the staff they said they knew and then only acted. If service does not improve I will not return as this should be the main element of a 5 star hotel. On the positive side everything else was great, fine location , lovely , clean rooms. and great views from the rooms. Interesting to note that there was no coffee machine or coffee/tea making facilities in the room. In addition the as I had used Hotel.com to pay for the room , the hotel took a deposit of $US 100 using my credit card. "Best hotel in Vina del Mar, but needs better food"
Service, room, pool, etc. are all excellent. Top notch hotel in Vina del Mar located right on the water. Room we received was large with balcony overlooking Pacific. Bathroom was gorgeous with large tub and separate walk-in shower with rain shower head. Lovely. The only disappointment was the food, but I'll caveat that we did not eat in the official […] restaurant. We ate our on the terrace right off the lobby for dinner one night and had lunch in Las Olas, which is a bar restaurant off the pool deck. Both meals (especially the lunch) did not measure up to the rest of the hotel. Maybe the main restaurant would have been better. The breakfast, however, was great minus the coffee. "Great Stay, and take a Tour!"
We had a great stay at this hotel. We pre arranged pick up services from Santiago Airport and they were waiting for us.. Upon check in we were upgraded to a preferred corner suite and that was really nice. The hotel staff was prompt and efficient, the room very clean and the ammenties lovely. We spoiled ourselves and took room service, and the staff […] couldn't be more pleasant. The breakfast in particular was delicious! The best is the balcony and view! Amazing. We also highly recommend the tours provided by the hotel. We had a very informative tour with "Carlos" and Rodrigo our driver of Vina and Valapariso, and they gave us a great selection for dinner at Portofino for seafood. Then the next day we had another tour and a stop at a beautiful winery in the morning for a tour and tasting, at Casas del Bosque, then on to lunch at Macerado, a lovely spot for a very fresh and tasty meal before heading back to the Airport. Von 6 morgentlichen Kaffeebestellungen aufs Zimmer (natürlich alles gegen extra Kosten) kamen 6 NICHT wie telefonisch (Roomservice) bestellt. Der Pool war an 3 Tagen garnicht benutzbar. "Hermoso hotel, muy lujoso"
El hotel es nuevo y el lobby y habitaciones son muy lindas. Las camas comodas, buen servicio de internet (lo que encontre poco comun en Chile). Lo unico que no me gusto es que la lampara y radio reloj en la habitacion estaban desenchufados.Autentične Hotels.com recenzije gostiju

Es una excelente propiedad en manos de nadie. Imposible conseguir informacion fidedigna de quienes estan a cargo de darla. Guest Services funciona pesimamente, no solo no conocen el area sino que se basan en comentarios de otros huespedes para recomendar diferentes sitios ya que, textual, no los conocen. me aloje or segudna vez en el hotel y la calidad […] de servicio en este sector ha practicamente desaparecido. Consejo: si se aloja en esta propiedad, que ediliciamente es magnifica, pida consejos a los maleteros, conocen mucho mejor el destino que quienes han sido puestos a tales efectos.
