Cons. No free Parking. parking was 20€ a night. Breakfast not included cost 2 050 ft Could hear the piano that was in the lobby in our room on the 2nd floor (3rd floor in Europe) till 1 am. We knew it will be a pleasant stay since we stepped in. We were greeted by the door man immediately. The spa facility was perfect and clean. Check out time at 12 made it so relaxing that we didn't have to rush and even had time to use the spa before we go. Two down side is that it is located on the edge of the bad suburb "district 8", we were cautious […] when walking around at night but we didn't have any trouble. We also thought the breakfast was too expensive at 20euro pp. You can get better value if you order from the normal menu. If we return to Budapest, this will be our top accommodation option. Hotel was very clean and service good. Room very nice but only bath with shower, must climb in/out not for elderly or any with disabilities. Food - lunch was average, didn't try breakfast or dinner. Bar at hotel - small but nice, drinks cost a little bit less than in Norway. Location - central, tram and underground near by. 2 large shopping centers […] near by, Arena shopping center 1 underground stop to the train station walk 400 - 500 meters from station, other center opposite direction 4 tram stops. Very few restaurants in the same street as hotel even though it's a very long street. Recommend - Illy cafe next to hotel over road, good for nice quite breakfast if you like it casual. An absolutely stunning hotel steeped in original features and wonderfully located. Our room was set in the historical part of the building and benefitted from a huge room and was very comfortable and clean. The staff are very polite, well spoken and quick to help where they can. We were unlucky enough to have luke warm water in our room, and when pressed […] they offered us an upgraded room with hot water on the second night. I say 'when pressed' as we were originally offered complimentary coffee and cake as an apology when the water couldn't be fixed, but when we were persistent the staff found a solution. Overall a very nice stay and we would recommend the hotel. The only disappointment is the food which is not all that tasty and incredibly over priced for what it is. The professionalism and friendliness of the staff made up for some of the less desirable aspects of this hotel. Perhaps my expectations were askew, but I'd have to say the hotel is overpriced. For less money, this place would be almost ideal. The dining room was exquisite, though expensive. The spa was okay, but accessible only by a rather inconvenient […] elevator. The gym is not really worth calling a gym. The hotel is centrally located, close to the international train station, and near a couple of Budapest's main attractions. My partner and I stayed at the Boscolo Budapest for 4 nights from the 28th of October 2012. The staff that welcomed us were extremely friendly and helpful, and this was true throughout our stay. The hotel itself is beautiful, clean and definitely worth spending time in. The spa is very nice and the swimming pool was lovely and quiet during the mid-afternoon. […] Our room was a good size (on the 5th floor), with a lovely bath and huge comfortable bed. The sound-proofing of the rooms is excellent, it was almost as if there weren't any other guests in the hotel once we shut our door! The hotel is brilliantly situated within walking distance of many of the main tourist hotspots, and near a lot of great places to eat. You must try the Hungarian cake selection and hot white chocolate at the New York Cafe! We booked a table at the Salon Restaurant for our last evening, and the service, food and atmosphere were the best we have ever experienced. The hotel was fantastic apart from check out. We got charged for room damage of around £200 because of a small (and when I say small I mean tiny!) ink stain on a towel from swimming. They then tried to tell us it has caused a small ink stain on the marble in the bathroom and it would cost £200 to have the marble cleaned!!! Stunning facade and a grand entrance to this well preserved original architechture. The cafe and breakfast rooms have the orignal grand staircases and gold leaf. Feels like being in a grand palace. We booked the medium […] / superior room a high floor, quieter great, with a balcony and chairs, able to sit out and see over the rooftops of Budapest.Breakfast was a lavish continental style buffet, the finest ingredients and presentation. A La carte was also available.However, other menus were very limited and rather international hotel dishes rather than local and wonderful Hungarian food. I would not recommend eating in for lunch or dinner, better food more traditional outside. The location makes it awkward to walk to the main attractions towards the river and it sits on a busy Main junction, this is its disadvantage. Though safe at night, taking a good 20-30 minutes from the river it isn't pleasurable as on river hotel locations, However, a grand special place to stay with all the facilities you wish, and the concierge staff especially friendly polite and helpful, also assuring the lobby was nicely presented and people were catered for. It's not very often that you can stay at a hotel of this caliber for such a great price. Location was really good, if you are planning on catching a hop on hop off bus it comes right in front of the hotel since Cafe located in building is considered one of the sights of the city. Front desk staff was very helpful. Would definitely stay here again.

Very very nice hotel, if you´re in Budapest is by far the best choice you can pick, BTW this hotel is one of the stops of the hop on hop off buses so you can take the city tour and don't have to move very far, just 10 feet away

We were very happy with our room, the building and the hotel service. Everything was excellent. If you want to treat yourself and your loved one to a romantic luxury weekend this is really a hotel to put on your list (high up).

Spent a weekend in the hotel Location is very good, entrance and spa is superbe, but the service is HORRID! this is NOT a 5*, more like a 3* hotel service (or worst). The room was NOT clean / made at 18h00. Room service was NOT cleared in the whole day. The telephone on the room did not work. We gave notice of all things, but nothing was corrected, […] and no action was taken. The room was dirty - dead fly on the carpet, that stayed there with us teh whole weekend. Not refilled toiletries, dirty bathroom. There was a Tesco party on saturday night, with loud music and people screaming in the corridors until 4 A.m. in the morning. As telephone did not work, we had to walk down to reception to complain. The music stayed, at the same level. Management did NOT offer any apology or compensation. Definitely NOT a 5* hotel. In my experience, the level of service matches that of 5-star hotels in Asia. The rooms are large, even by American standards. The hotel was a great experience. Fantastic architecture and good service. Walking distance to some very good restaurants (try Lado on a music night). The subway station is only 2 minutes away. The only negative part we experienced was the tap water in the room. Of some strange reason the cold water was hot which made it very difficult to shower without getting burnt.
