"Love Mystic Dunes"
I love staying at Mystic Dunes and will continue to stay their when in orlando area. Only thing is the room doors need to have a better security to keep small children from being able to get out. Spacious 1 bedroom with a living room and kitchen. Flat screen tv with DVD player in living room and a jacuzzi tub in the bedroom. "Found USED CONDOM in bedroom"
I will say that in the pictures and also as you drive in the resort it looks like a beautiful place. That all changed with a closer inspection. This place has been partialy remodeled, the first room that we got (we did not stay in the first room we got, see the title) was old and dirty, that was the first thing that I noticed. Then I walked in the bedroom […] with my wife and two year old son and there it was, a used condom in the entrance to the closet. I was highly upset and got an automatic headache, what if my son had found that disgusting thing before we did. The lady at the counter was very nice and upgraded us to the two bethroom villa wich was very clean ( as far as I could perseive) that was very nice and we really apreciated the upgrade. "Very comfortable"
Good size suite. Kitchen had everything someone would need during their stay. Good quality cutlery, glasses and cooking pans. Had a jacuzzi in the room. "So much more than a hotel"
It was a pleasure to stay at Mystic Dunes. I asked for an upgrade and the front desk was more than happy to help me get into a suite for a few dollars. It was a like being at home, no joke. Spacious, amazing, & perfectly clean!! Wonderful hot tub Jacuzzi. The screened in patio was a nice bonus. You are able to sit outside and enjoy the beautiful weather […] without bugs.The kitchen was stocked with silverware, plates, cooking utensils, pots & pans. "Great Hotel but....."
Loved the resort and the pool. The lifeguards at the main pool by the slide were awesome. The room was really nice. We had a one bedroom suite. Loved the in room Jacuzzi tub. Now for the negative. Checkout time was at 10 am (which is such a rip off IMO) but at 9:30 am housekeeping was banging on our door. When my friend opened the door, she asked when […] we were leaving. we told her we would be out by 10am. Well at 9:55 am, she knocks again, this time she asks if were leaving and then proceeds to ask us for a tip. Mind you, we stayed ONE NIGHT!!! She did nothing for us but annoy us. Also, I asked at check in if the 10pm pool closing time was a hard and fast rule. The gal at check in said no. She said as long as we werent being noisy they would not kick us out. Well at 10pm along comes security, kicks us out and locks the pool up. I would not have cared if I had not been lied to at check in but it irritated me. Otherwise, I would stay here again. "Horrible Experience"
First off, I was looking forward to staying at this hotel. From previous reviews and the pictures of this resort. I just knew my stay was going to be one to remember. I arrived at the hotel around 5pm. It was my birthday, so I was excited to be staying at this resort. I was greeted by Elizabeth, during this encounter she was very pleasant. I received […] my room keys and was giving directions to the room. I arrived to the room and was highly diappointed!!! The room was nothing like the pictures,descriptions, or hotel reviews I had previously read about. The room looked more liked something at the Super 8 motel rather than a resort not to mention the smell. I went back to the front desk to express my disappointment in the room I received, and a request for a better room. Elizabeth this time was not very pleasant and stated that they were sold out which I didn't believe and hotel policy since I had already checked in, I would no longer be able to get my money back. Eventhough, I had just checked in fifteen minutes ago.Fortunately, after speaking with management and teling them about the false advertisement of the room. I was able to get my money back and go elsewhere.Overall, I'm not sure if I would not recommend this hotel, however if you do go make sure to check out the room(s) before officially checking in. Everything was great except for issue with gaining access to the apartment that was behind a security door that was malfunctioning. Had to wait for security to come by and try and fix door and both days this was an issue. Hotel management took care of me and gave me reduced rate on additional day that I stayed. The location was great, the amenities were great, the hotel room itself was ok. It was a bit dark because of the lamps, and it was a bit dated, but perfectly acceptable for those visiting the parks and not spending tons of time in the room. "Front entrance to resort deceivingly beautiful"
I don't know if we were just in an older part of the resort, but it was definitely tired, which was a surprise considering the entrance to the resort is quite beautiful. The grounds were quite nice, but the room itself was a bit of a disappointment. Garbage left outside of the rooms was pretty much standard for our 3 day stay in our part of the resort. […] Room could definitely use a fresh coat of paint and cleaning was just OK. Not sure if I would stay here again, however the condo itself was large and lots of amenities, such as a washer and dryer. We stayed here because of the price, well with that said it was very nice. I would stay here again. When you book this resort just know that the decoration around the room is in the 1980's and they are more like small condos. The grounds are very very clean and quite. Really liked having a condo style place for such a great low price.Loved the jacuzzi for two people inside the master bedroom.You are invited to a vacation rental sales pitch when you check in,but they were not pushy about it if you decline to attend.
