Stayed overnight here on a long trip back up north. Overall, everything was perfect...friendly staff, nice renovation, clean and spacious bathroom. I liked that we had both a mini fridge and microwave in the room. Only complaint would be that they need to get some new/better pillows.

Hotel room looked, felt, and smelled clean. Room was quiet. Staff was friendly. Only problem was that we had to park in a nearby restaurant parking lot because the hotel was renovating and they had two long trash dumpsters taking up many parking spots.

Despite the fact that renovations are underway, the hotel was in excellent condition. My only issue was that the hallways were overheated. The breakfast had an excellent selection of foods including proteins which is so often lacking.

I have stayed here several times when I come to RIC and everyone is always so nice. Casey at the front desk is helpful and makes a point to say "hello". It is clean and well lit and very convenient to Broad St., I-64 and Parham Rd. in the West End. There are numerous restaurants nearby. I always feel comfortable when staying at this hotel.

The room was clean, comfortable, and quiet. We missed having ordinary bread available for the continental breakfast. Not everyone wants bagels and English muffins.

This was a very clean and attractive room, with nice sheets and pillows. I was very comfortavle sleeping here. Would have liked a fridge, though. The continental breakfast and breakfast room both very nice, as well as the service.

The bed was a little too firm for my wife and myself. The shower water was either too hot or cool - there was nothing on the temp of water in-between; however, I really wasn't there for a shower....just to get out of the heat. I only lived approx 3 miles away so I could go home to get a shower if I needed one. Thanks.

People were friendly and helpful by providing maps and information. Pool and hot tub were not available since the room was being painted. That was not a drawback. Breakfast was good and attendant was helpful. Excellent place to stay with a good restaurant within walking distance.

If this hotel had hot water it would be perfect. If you don't mind not showering....for two days. The front desk kept changing our rooms to try to fi nd a room with hot water. They were very nice but..................

I was traveling for business and I've stayed here twice now and love it! It has OCharley's next door and a clean room. I didn't need anything special, just a quiet clean simple room for a night and that's just what I got. I'll book here again when I'm traveling in the area.

The hotel was clean and conveniently located but the room we got, which was advertised as a "deluxe" room was tiny! You couldn't actually walk all the way around the king size bed or get to the AC/heat controls by the window without moving the chair that was stuffed in the corner between the window and the bed. Our stay at the Fairfield Inn and Suites was great. Went for a grandson's graduation. The hotel was located in the West End and just 5-10 minutes to all functions and occaisions that we attended. If you are staying on the west end of Richmond this is a nice hotel. Newer hotel as of 4/2011. Staff was very nice. Room, exericise room, indoor hot tub spa and pool areas all very clean. Strong Wireless Internet signal. Nice selection at the continental Breakfast. Can walk to O'Charley's Restaurant. They have a good happy hour at the bar from 4-9 pm. […] Love the rolls:)... hotel was very clean and nice. i was driving on I-95 to NY so took 64west to get there. it was less than 10min after i get on 64 so its not too bad even if you are taking 95. after driving 11h i wanted use jacuzzi they have but it was broken, although staff at the hotel was really nice enough to ask other hotel which was also owned by Marriott(right […] across this hotel) to use theirs! i enjoyed my stay there and would definitely stay again. This hotel was located a short drive from downtown Richmond and offered plenty of eating places, some even within walking distance. The hotel was modern, well equipped and clean. No problems or complaints at all.

The staff was very nice, helpful and attentive. The room key did not work for the room assigned, but I was quickly changed to a different room. This hotel had a great fitness room. Although it was small, it was well organized and the machines were in good shape. Not much in the way of weights, but lots of aerobic machines. This hotel was very nice! It was clean and the staff was very polite. We felt like our first room's floor was a bit sticky and they apologized and got us another room right away! They then confirmed with us that our new room was ok. Also, we got back to the hotel very late one night. It was a Sunday night and we couldn't find anywhere to eat because […] everything was closed by then. The front desk man called around to pizza places to see if anything was still serving food, but he couldn't find one. So, he offered to open up the breakfast bar for us and he found some burgers, hot dogs, chips, and juice for us! We were so thankful... our family hadn't had dinner yet!
