The non smoking room was clean and roomy. However, there is a problem with the heater at night when it goes over 77 degrees. It was making so much noises that I couldn't sleep. Have to turn off the heater just so I can sleep, but in the cold. In order to avoid the smoke in the Casino, the parking structure is a better place to park. This place is clean, updated. The room was spacious and the bathroom was especially nice! Plenty of parking, not too far a walk to our room but they do charge a resort fee for wifi and other things. It's way off the strip which was what we wanted while traveling with kids. It's still a casino, though. We had to walk through the casino part to get to […] the elevators to our rooms. South Point is very convenient as it is located close to where my family lives. Staff there are very friendly. Only negatives would be casino is rather smokey and the TP in the rooms is is so cheap, you might want to think about upgrading to 3-ply!!!

the price was good, the staff was gr8, the rooms were clean, convenient location to the strip, valet parking....all u need in one place. yes they do charge $14 per person per night as a resort fee and they hold $100 from ur credit card till u chk out.....this is the only place i'll be staying on my visit to Las Vegas

This is a clean, well run hotel. This is not a fake review. Did a 4 day getaway with my wife. Rooms are very large, but the biggest thing is everything is new and clean and well maintained. Very nice pool area. Not a "high brow" crowd because it is inexpensive, but nice people. Location is 4 miles from strip so we took cabs and the shuttle each day. […] This is the only negative, you are away from the shows, etc. Cabs are around $25.00, shuttle every hour for $8.00 round trip if you can wait a while on either end. On the strip it is chaos, here you are viewing the mountains with a lot of space around you and peaceful. South Point is now charging $14.00 per room resort fee. Which is for the internet using the pool transport to the strip ect. We have used South Point for many year and only have time to use the room and eat there, now being charged for things that we will NOT use. A charge should be made when guest use the amenities/services, unfair charge .

Good value for price but not near strip. Really liked buffet there and I'm not a great buffet can. Very kid friendly with movie theater and bowling alley. Many reasonable restaurants to choose from

the security of the credit card was somewhat outrageous!, our credit cards provider almost had to put a lock on the cards because hotel was asking 100.00 for each rooms for security purposes.

Located south of the main strip, the hotel has a variety of restaurants from a casual buffet or hamburger parlor to an intimate formal setting. There is even a cinema and several event rooms. Location outside the main part of the strip so it was perfect for our stay which was to visit family in Henderson. Very little traffic and the food was good at the Steaks n Shake restaurant.

Not for non smoker, even do rooms are non smoking you still have to check in at the casino and most all areas are very smokey.

The room was comfortable. The food in the buffet restaurant is mostly from the last left over meal. Tasteless and hard to swallow.. The front desk service was good. and helpful. The shuttle service to the airport starts at 6AM. people booked on the early flights, say before 8AM, can not use this service.

The gal that checked us in was so kind and helpful and provided excellent service. Shuttle bus driver was very personable but a little over the top considering it was very early on a Monday morning leaving Las vegas!

I liked the hotel, however they charged a $15 a night fee which included you paying for all the amenities. They also didn't mention this until I checked out. That was annoying.

We have stayed at South Point several times in the past and every time that we have been there, the rooms have been very clean and comfortable. The rooms have been quiet and the staff has been responsive to any requests that we had. The location is just a couple miles south of the strip so it is convenient and less crazy if you want something a little […] quieter. The biggest negative is having to stand in a smoke filled casino during check in (but you have to expect this in Las Vegas). The other thing that I noticed is there is now a resort fee as of March 1, 2013 that will add $14 per day to your bill for amenities (wifi, health center, airport shuttle, etc.) We did not have to pay since we had booked before March 1. I have always recommended this hotel to any of my friends who want a really nice low cost place to stay in Vegas, I just hope that the resort fee does not make the price jump too high for the future. Enjoyed our stay at South Point Hotel. Quieter than staying on the strip. Hotel is very well laid out, plenty of parking, many restaurants. Would definitely recommend!

My overall stay at South Point was very pleasurable. The service, atmosphere, and amenities were all excellent. The only complaint I have is that of the $14 a night "resort fee" that they charge. Other than that a wonderful hotel for a great price.

I like that the hotel is away from the strip because you don't have to deal with traffic, but I wish there was more to do around that area without having to drive. The restaurants are good and open late. The rooms are affordable and actually pretty nice. I enjoyed my stay at south point!
