"Close to Mammoth Cave"
Good: The staff was wonderful and super helpful. Close to Mammoth Cave. The breakfast was decent for the price of the hotel. The Bad: The A/C didn't cool the room, the pillows were terrible and cigarette smoke from the room above came in through the bathroom vent. The hotel is located nearby gas stations and fast food centers. That's the only plus. The hotel facilities are minimal. The manager was very friendly. This is good for just one night stay. "Basic needs met"
I came in late - left very early. All I needed was sleep and a shower so no need for any other amenities. The bed was just OK, the bathroom very clean. "Nice motel, good location!"
We enjoyed our stay at the Super 8. The room was big and comfortable- the air conditioning worked great in the 100+ degree heat. We did not have the much desired refrigerator in our room, but upon mentioning it to the front desk staff, she arranged to have one brought in within just a few minutes. More lighting in the bathroom would have been ideal, […] or at least a brighter light. An alarm clock and pad of paper and pen would have been nice, but as we had our own, it wasn't a deal breaker for us. The continental breakfast was very satisfying and the breakfast room was nice; we especially enjoyed the television programming and frequent re-stocking of food. The location of the motel was convenient and easy to find. Staff members were friendly and helpful. There was ample television programming for the evenings when we just wanted to relax. "OK but not "new" as advertised."
The check in process was very pleasant and quick. Our non-smoking room had the odor of a previously designated smoking room. The carpet felt damp which gave off a moldy smell as well. Our matress was very comfortable and our linens felt fresh.
