For the price the hotel was very clean, well maintained and convenient location. Breakfast left something to be desired but overall well worth the price will definitely stay again!

The heat did nont work in our room. When I called the front desk to ask them for some type of a heater for the room, or to change my room, I was told I couldn't change rooms as none were available. (they had a full building available but don't rent that building during the winter?) My Fiance & I went up for a weekend and stayed several nights at a hotel down the road. We decided to stay for one more night & hotels.com had this location as the most affordable hotel close to where we had already stayed. SO we said why not....we soon found out why not; It is a place to sleep and not much more. There seemed to be a lot of locals staying/standing […] around outside several rooms loitering and smoking which prompted us to park our car as close to the lobby/office as possible. The room was clean but you could tell that it had once been a smoking room. Overall maintenance was not great to say the least. Our TV remote did not work at all and the furniture in the room had seen better days. The hotel did offer free breakfast but to get to it you had to go outside lobby and into what had once been a guest room, there was a room key hanging on a nail which you had to use to get in, basically they had taken two adjoining rooms and created a small sitting area. I was very pleased with my stay at the Traverse City Travelodge....the condition of the hotel seemed very up to date, it was very clean and nice, I had a refrigerator , microwave, king sized bed, desk, two chairs, tv, nice bathroom, and I really felt it was a great deal for what it cost for the night....it was a two star hotel that was well worth it […] and I would stay there again and I recommend it for anyone that requires a basic well kept room to base in Traverse City Pročitajte više

Family members have stayed at this hotel and have had good experiences so we stayed over Christmas. Our experience was unsatisfactory. We arrived around 6pm and I took a bath. The bathtub did not drain (lost maybe an inch over an hour wait). We called the front desk and the young man working the desk came to check it out. He could not get the tub to […] drain and told us that the maintenance man would come by in the morning to fix it. After he left my husband and I shared our frustrations and my husband went down to ask to be moved to another room so we could use the shower. The front desk guy reluctantly moved us to another room saying that his boss was going to be upset if he moved us. There were several little problems with the new room that really turned us off from the hotel. The tub drained (though the toilet clogged) but the tv was not functioning properly, there was mildew and mold all over the shower curtain, and a strange sock on the floor which led us to believe that the rooms were not thoroughly cleaned. I was in a pinch and needed to stay somewhere that wasn't outrageously expensive, and this place was it! I'm sure there are many other great locations, but this one was inexpensive, clean, had breakfast, and was hassle free. I will definitely stay there again in the near future.

We stay here every year on Thanksgiving Weekend. The king sized beds are the most comfortable beds we have ever slept on at a hotel. The front desk personnel is very helpful with all of our questions about where to eat, how to find our way around Traverse City.

I expected more from that hotel. It could have been cleaner, but the location was ideal. It really needs to up date the care of the tub, television, and the bedding!

Stayed at the Travelodge for one night while I was in town for a job interview. The staff was very helpful (they gave me ideas of things to do in the area while I waited for my appointment), my room was clean, and the complimentary breakfast was great. First hotel I've been to that has had waffle makers and four different kinds of syrup! I was also […] glad they accept pets; I was able to bring my dog along with me. We are always a little anxious when we get a good rate, particularly with pets. Our stay was wonderful, with a clean room, good service, and an excellent, more than continental, breakfast. The wi fi worked as did the TV. We certainly felt well cared for.

The staff was very professional and friendly. The beds in the room were sooo comfortable, I had to peel back the sheets to see what brand they were. I will definitely stay here again. The location of the hotel was great, whether you were going to the north end of town or south end the travel time was about the same.

We visited TC with a group of seven couples. Many of the others received much better accommodations in the same complex. Our room was cramped and not well maintained. I arrived to check in only to find my room was given to another guest with a similar last name. I was then GIVEN the key to my original room which was MISTAKENLY assigned to the other guest. Additionally room was shabby, bed was uncomfortable. Would not stay again. an Eye sore in an otherwise nice part of town.

They accomodated us with a first floor room because my husband has a bad back and hips. The room was clean. We appreciated having the breakfast that was free in the AM as we had a very early Dr appt. and it just made it a lot easier for us.

The thing to keep in mind with this hotel is that it is really intended for tourists who plan to fill their days in town or at the beach and really only need a place to sleep and shower. The motel was well-kept and clean, but the rooms are cramped and the mattress was not comfortable. Our room did not have an iron or an ironing board and it took several […] contacts to the front desk to get these - although despite this the staff was friendly and genuinely seemed to want to help. Continental breakfast was low-end - cold cereal, oatmeal packets, sad-looking muffins, coffee, juice, and some bananas. The only hot food was the do-it-yourself belgian waffles. We ended up going out for breakfast. If you're looking for a cheap place to sleep for the family in tourist alley, I could recommend this place. We only selected this motel because we were in town for a family gathering and we wanted to stay where the rest of the family was staying. The Travel Lodge in Traverse City was a convenient place to stay. It was close to everything we wanted to see. It was clean. I would consider it a good place to stay on a budget. My only negatives are two... it could use some updating and the lighting (three lamps) was insufficient for the size of the room.

A good deal in an expensive town. Service friendly and responsive. Courtyard area rather noisy with cars, motorbikes, maintenance equipment, housekeeping carts, etc. So recommend a room not in courtyard. Mattresses EXTREMELY soft, I was in pain after 5 nights.
