Bodega Bay Lodge - Bodega Bay (zaljev)

We were upgraded to a room with a view overlooking the Bay. An added bonus was the estuary. The Inn prvided bonoculars as well. The room was perfect and the staff exceptionallly accommodating. We would love to go back.

Had requested two queen beds when reservation was made. Second bed was a pull-out couch! Also, hotel staff were not helpful nor were they knowledgable regarding local hiking/walk options. Restaurant staff were friendly and seafood was good. Definitely a place meant for a less active, older clientele.

Went for our wedding anniversary, as we were married in Bodega. We'd never stayed at Bodega Bay Lodge, but I was reasonably impressed with our stay, particularly given the rate we got on hotels.com. The room is basically an upgraded motel room, with fireplace, but in an absolutely beautiful setting. Breakfast service was haphazard and slightly overpriced […] (it is a hotel breakfast) but the view was lovely, the fireplace was lovely, and the breakfast itself was delicious (even if I question whether the orange juice was fresh squeezed). Coffee, corned beef hash, juevos rancheros were great. Other folks had delicious looking crab omletts, and I believe one of the biggest bloody mary's I've ever seen. I didn't have any spa treatments, but did use the small but well equiped gym, hot tub, and small but functional pool, all with beautiful views (nothing like being on the elliptical trainer with a view like that!). Dinner was delicious, but wine mark-ups were high (300%), and again slightly overpriced ($18 for half dozen oysters). The halibut with peashoots was amazingly good, and very inventive, so kudos to the chef for that. I would definitely go again. Pročitajte više

The website certainly made the setting and rooms look beautiful but pictures can be deceiving. When we arrived after following Hwy 1 all the way up from SFO we were surprised to see it really was like in the pictures. We absolutely loved the Bodega Bay Lodge, it was peaceful, tranquil, gorgeous spacious rooms with high ceilings, romantic, amazing views from balcony, great pool/jacuzzi area....all around wonderful. we felt like we were at a luxury cottage.

Everything about this Hotel was excellent. The only downside was the choice of food for vegetarians in the restaurant, in the evening. This was very limited and poor quality. The breakfast, however was very good.

This place is AMAZING. The views were incredible and the rooms were perfect. We were there for my sister wedding and the staff was more than happy to help us with all our needs. From hosting the reception to staying the night this place was the perfect ending to a wonderful weekend.

We have stayed at hotels all over the US, Europe, and Asia. This was one of the quietest, cleanest, best maintained, friendliest hotels we have ever stayed in. The Bodega Bay Lodge will be our first choice to stay at when we visit this portion of the coast in the future. I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel.

Decided to spend the last night of my recent California vacation at Bodega Bay Lodge. Wanted to see sunset on the Pacific. Very nice facility. Large rooms with fireplace. We had a King room. The section we were in, nearest the Bay, was recently remodeled and they were just getting over the construction "re-arrangement" of services, so word of mouth […] rather than the info in the room covered wine tastings, coffee etc alfresco. No big deal. We had gone kayaking up the road, so the deep, 2 person soaking tub was awesome to relax and refresh. On site heated pool, whirlpool, gym and spa. Separate shower was spacious but I prefer a massage shower head rather than the watering can variety. All furnishings were of excellent quality. A few oddities. A bar sink was roughed in but never installed. Cell service was non-existent although free WIFI comes with the room. The items on the mini bar were ridiculously over-priced. $24.00 for a split of cheap wine. $5.00 for bottled water. $8.00 for Jelly Beans. Did not utilize the on site restaurant. Went up Coastal Highway 12 miles to the "River's End Restaurant" in Jenner. Fantastic food, wine, ambiance and sunset over the Pacific at the mouth of the Russian River. We loved this hotel. The location is incredibly beautiful, and the rooms were very nice. We loved having a fireplace and great views of the bay. Lowlights were some construction on check-in (but not near the guest rooms), and the incredible proximity to they bay and its coast guard station meant there was a fog horn audible at night. We recently stayed at Bodega Bay on our trip to San Francisco. The hotel was very nice and the room was roomy, nicely decorated with fireplace. However, the issue we had with hotel was that when we arrived they did not have record of our reservation. We showed them our printed confirmation. Does that mean we wouldn't have a room?It was like she didn't believe we had a reservation.. And then when we called to ask about a wake up call, she told us that we must of made the reservation for August not April.. NOT! We again looked at the printed confirmation and it was April. It was as she kept wanting to blame us with the problem with the reservation. We had everything confirmed and printed out. I really like this hotel for its location and its restaurant. Before check in at 4:00 we spent the day at Doran Beach just down the road. (Sonoma Country regional park with a day fee required.) Bodega Bay Lodfe is excellent. Very much enjoyed the room, service, and the restaurant, The Duck Club. Bodega Bay however was quite disappointing. Other than going to bodega Bay Head to walk along the cliffs and look for whales not much else to do.

Nice accomodations--marble counters in bathroom, and luxuriously soft towels were a plus. Very clean room, too. Cozy bed with down comforter and a flat screen T.V. made our stay extra enjoyable. At check-in, they were not even aware if the room I had reserved was supposed to have a fireplace. Reviews said every room had a fireplace. And every room has a view, but mine did not. We went there for a romantic getaway and expected some sort of a view from our balcony but there was a small piece of garden view and if you looked a certain angle, you […] would see part of the harbor...and i mean a small part. I complained and was told that there were no other rooms to move us to. Later on after about a couple of hours, I went to the front desk becuase of the noise and told another clerk about our check-in experience. She changed our room assignment, put us on the second floor and there we got our view. She was definitely nicer and more accomodating. There were plenty of rooms vacant so I did not understand why we were not oroginally moved to a better room when we asked. But all in all, this hotel is very nice, and very comfortable beds. Nice fireplace...and if you get the right room, spectacular view. Nice short walk to the beach was very relaxing. Bodega Bay is beautiful in a fairly windswept way and close to Sonoma villages, wineries and the redwoods around occidental. Bodega Bay Lodge was a great "base station" from which to explore wine country. We stayed for three nights and spent two days exploring both the North and South Sonoma County Wineries. The Bodega BayLodgeis a nice, comfortable lodge and spa. It offers many nice touches, such as a wine reception for guests. While I was disappointed that the adjacent Bodega Bay and coastline weren't more picturesque, the hotel itself was lovely.

I looked over the hotels in the surrounding area during our stay, and from the outside at least it is certainly the nicest. It was quiet, couple-oriented, It might be boring for most children, although mine enjoyed walking the beach and grounds.

We did not use the staff much, so we cant really comment on the service. But we did go to the Duck Club, which was good (pricey and small plates, though; if that bothers you). We used the pool, jacuzzi and weight room. We loved it all. SOOOO quiet and relaxing.

Good location. peaceful envirnment. Restaurant has non-accomodative approach. Rooms and particularly bathroom needs a lot of upgrade and repair. Overall too expensive for a medium quality hotel.
