Wonderful staff. Arabic themed hotel in old Dubai so don't expect modern glass and concrete hotel. However all the facilities in the room were modern. Suited us perfectly. Incredibly good breakfast included. Would stay here again and again.

First time in Dubai. City exceeded expectations, really a city of the future. Hotel very satisfactory re location and service. A bit on the old side...but we wanted something away from the overwhelming neuveau glitz which characterizes most of Dubai. Tour desk and concierge very helpful with suggestions.

Wasn't expecting the high dollar tax charge added to the room with no explanation or receipt from the hotel when checking out. Then a few days later I saw the charge on the credit card bill online.

The hotel itself is good value for money. It has clean good sized rooms with friendly staff. A perfect place to stay and see the older part of Dubai. This is the real Dubai -- the eighborhood of Indian immigrants who make up the majority of workers in Dubai. You are right across from the Dubai Museum and minutes from the Creek, the souks, etc. A very welcoming hotel.

Excellent hotel in old part of the town, opposite Dubai Museum. I like the hotel so much because it has an Arabian touch. Good desk services and early simple breakfast if needed. Staff was very helpful. Sometimes free shuttle to the airport.

After a very long overnight flight and lost luggage we arrived at the hotel early in the morning. Even though check-in time wasn't until late afternoon the hotel gave us a room right away and introduced us to the concierge who helped us immensely throughout our entire stay. She navigated the communication with the airport to retrieve our wayward luggage […] and also helped us find the nearby water taxi and metro station so that we could enjoy our sightseeing. Our very nice room had a great view of the Dubai Museum across the street. Don't miss that if you have the time. The little cake left in our room to celebrate my husband's birthday was unexpected and very much appreciated. The breakfast in the morning was quite good and gave us a great start to the day. My stay was fine except for the too few English TV channels. No CNN, Alazeera and sport channels. The staff are very friendly and ready to assist in any way they can even if it is outside their hotel duty. Also very good break fast.

had a problem at checkin, where the manager said he was short 5 rooms. I had pre-booked 1 hour previously on Hotels.com......my rate was almost full rack rate because of the Golf tournament just started, so the manager moved guests around to squeeze me in as he didnt want to loose a full paying client...not sure who didn't get a room at the end of the […] queue. Hotel is bang in the middle of old dubai so if this is what you are looking for it will be perfect. I was working in JLT free zone so had a nitemare to get a cab each morning plus it was a AED90 cab ride each way. The hotel is traditional Arabic, which again if this is what you are looking for -great. I found the room a bit tired, bathroom was grubby around the bath/shower. I certainly have stayed in far better for far less money. The area is old dubai, as I have already said....this means it is very ethnic. We booked for 3 adults. One of us arrived 9 hours ahead of the other two and noticed there were only 2 beds in a very small room. The hotel was asked for a 3rd bed. When the others arrived, after flying through the night, the request for another bed was delivered more forcefully. After another hour, we had to call Expedia and they handled the matter […] very efficiently. Another bed was squeezed into our room so that we could sleep until we could be transferred to a larger room. The next room was very comfortable and was referred to as a family room by the hotel. There was a difference in the room names used at the hotel and on the Expedia site which may have caused some confusion. The hotel is a little bit tired. The staff are friendly but their command of English was poor, at least at reception when we were trying to arrange a 3rd bed and a larger room. Very friendly staff. Resturants and tourist stores all within walking distance. Elegant Room. I Wanted to a smoking room, but didnt get it, but certainly not something to complain about as I used my Elite Plus Membership and was treated as VIP. WOuld definitely recommend this hotel to others.

We arrived at around 3.45 am after a long and tedious wait to go through passport control at the airport (Terminal 3, Emirates) and were received politely and efficiently at the front desk. They are obviously used to very late arrivals. When we got to the room we discovered it was not a non-smoking room as we had requested and phoned the front desk […] straight away. Within minutes we had been reassigned our new room, and the porter took us and our luggage to the new room. Turned out it was a family suite, with bedroom and living room with sofa, table and chair, own TV, sink, own fridge, microwave and separate a/c. We have stayed here frequently and have always been satisfied; even if there have been little problems now and then, they have always been solved quickly and in a pleasant way. The hotel is starting to show its age a bit, but is clean everywhere, and the staff are excellent. Give yourself time when checking out as they insist on having the mini-bar checked before you can finalise the bill (phone down to the front desk and someone will come up quickly to do it and take your bags down, otherwise you have to wait until someone is sent up to do it). Only used the pool area once cause it wasnt too hot , but the little fella loved splashing around in the kids pool. A very nice hotel with excellent staff.oh and the elevators are super quck too! Friendly and helpful staff in all parts of the hotel. We prefer the older part of Dubai so we loved the location in relation to Dubai Creek. Easy walk to the restaurants along the creek and to the abras to cross to all the souks. Lovely breakfasts served with a view.

Loved our 2 nights there. Staff all very friendly and helpful. Dinner in room was excellent value for money, would highly recommend for a stopover. If you want to see the old centre of Dubai then this is the hotel to use. It is right next to the museum and a short walk from the creek, souk and other attractions. It is comfortable and the staff are very helpful. Breakfast is excellent. Sadly the pool was dirty and, in our opinion, unusable which was the only disappointment.
