We travel alot and would rate this vacation as one of best relaxing vacations ever- The resort is beautiful- the grounds and room were kept up nicely. We were upgraded to a villa for free on arrival, despite the hotel being full.The manager gave us a bottle of rum and a fruit tray when he learned it was our honeymoon. VERY friendly staff, great food, awesome amenities. Gym and spa are world class!!!

We went in second week of February and stayed in Bavaro Junior suites, the rooms were comfortable, bathrooms were excellent and very spacious, towels and bedding a little dated but acceptable, heard it's much nicer on palace side. Overall the property is extremely well kept, amazing well manicured landscaping and beaches, pools, beach everything is […] close by, many buffet eating options with Good choices and seven to eight awesome restaurants, we loved Japanese and Mexican the most. There are very nice stores on the property and the entertainment was pretty good. The best thing is their staff which is extremely friendly and courteous, always smiling. The lobbies are the place to hang out, there is nightly live music and always free wifi in lobby. At the right end of the private beach a short walk away there is a local market where you can walk for souvenir shopping etc. Must know how to bargain, good rule is don't pay $ 30 for Tshirt that you can buy 2 for 10 in Orlando everything is made in China anyway. The stores at the airport had a lot of the same stuff(Tshirts,paintings,souvenirs)at same or cheaper prices so I would recommend buying on your way back at airport. A shuttle runs all over Palladium property every 10-15 minutes, it is worthwhile to just go around and see what's available on your first day rather then get drunk at the first bar you see. Upon arrival it was raining the staff greeted me with something to drink. the clerk told me my room was not ready but 30 seconds later he said it was. the bell hop took my bags to the villa explaining all the amenities of the hotel. the next day i met some other americans that invited me to hang with them since i was traveling alone. the online photos […] of the resort did not do the place justice.the room was very nice the resort grounds was well taken care of the staff was very nice sometimes the desk staff was a bit short but i think it was because they were very busy - it was loads of people checking in daily. but the staff always answered and helped me out. I recommend getting a spa treatment -sweet.there were a about 6 restaurants i only ate in 3 of them.they were good - i didn't care for the main dinning room much that's just me. i went to the casino it was never crowded but that's cool b/c i am not a gambler i just wanted check it out. they had nightly shows in the theater pretty decent entertainment. the beach i thought was very nice. but they did have too many vendors. the pool was entertaining i got to meet some nice latino women.. the disco played mostly latino pop music it was ok..again i was in there for the women but i should have went to the mangu off the resort. the time i was there i noticed a mixture of couples, families with children as well as singles - young and old.i really enjoyed this resort and will be going back. My wife and i are experienced travelors. Over 30 trips in 10 yrs. The Palladium chain is one of the BEST out there for mexico and the carribean for the price (Key here: Value). Although the grand Palladium Dominican is in the top 10%, it doesn't meet the service standard of the Grand Palladium in mexico. simply the service wasn't quite as good- and […] in some cases, frustrating. Of course you want Examples: When you're flight leaves at 1700, and your need to leave around 1400. you need a late checkout. !st thing we did when we entered, was request the late checkout as we checked in. What happens? On the day we leave, the doors automatically will not let you in after 1200, and you're late checkout request seems forgotten. This causes you serveral trips to the reception to resolve (get key cards that work, go back, bring luggage, then check out). Alcohol was the bottom shelf you would see at a non-chain. Name brand or at least non-headache inducing drinks seemed out of reach. We stopped drinking much after day 3 for this reason. The Palladium in Mexico was much better in both these examples. Positive: Grounds, room, beach, pools, Spa - all were physically Outstanding! You will not be dissapointed! (Just bring some aspirin for the booze, and be ready to spend some time explaining things to the staff). the Palladiums have been good to us. No Complaints! Just comparisons. This beautiful place makes you not want to go back home (ever)!! My husband and I went there for our honeymoon from March 31st to April 4th and we loved it! The BEACH... it's A-W-E-S-O-M-E!! We couldn't get enough of it. It was so nice just be laying there with a drink in your hand (and for free, way much better!) Notes: 1) I read before in other reviews that some people complained because they booked their rooms with the Bavaro and their room was in the Punta Cana resort... That's not a problem, what they probably don't know is that it makes part of a whole group so they share all the rooms. 2) This group of hotels are part of an environmental project, they turn their lights off for one hour one day of the month (every 31st or 30th) - ask about it so you don't be surprised like we did. 3) Enjoy your stay! The staff was friendly, the food was great, and the property was clean! The only suggestion I have is, If you have special requests such as double beds rather than a king, I suggest reminding them at check-in.

Staff was friendly and very accomidating to our changing needs. Room was well stocked and clean, food was good (Brazillian rest was GREAT!) No need to leave property unless you choose to. Shopping within walking distance of hotel. Locals were friendly and polite, NO worries.

The hotel was really good, except for few things that kind of upset me sometimes, such as the a la carte restaurantes that takes a long time to bring the food. Also, as mentioned before, the front desk (at the lobby) could be a little more nicer, especially with children, the same goes to the bar at the lobby. Picturesque resort on one of the most beautiful beaches in the world! The staff made the experience unforgettable and the drinks made the trip barely memorable. No complaints whatsoever! Gepflegte Hotelanlage, grosszügig dafür aber auch weitläufig. Gutes Essen, sehr reichliche Auswahl, schöner Strandabschnitt, ausreichend Liegen (Hotel war nicht ausgebucht), lediglich ärgerliche Mängel im Service. Check-In sehr schlecht, obwohl erst um 18.00 Uhr angereist, konnte das Zimmer nicht bezogen werden. Mehr als 1 Stunde Wartezeit !!!

Das Hotel ist Teil der riesigen Grand-Palladium-Anlage, zu der auch die Hotels G.P. Palace und G.P. Punta Cana gehören. Sehr schöne grosse Zimmer (mit Jaccuzzi!) in Villas von 8 oder 10 Zimmern. Die Anlage ist so gross, dass man manchmal Mühe hat, sein Zimmer wiederzufinden.
