I liked the hotel. Rooms were dated with no air conditioning but large and very dark. Good service and I felt safe. The food in the restaurant was good although breakfast was limited. There was a lot of building work going on by the pool so as I did not want to listen to drilling I felt a little less than happy and did not use the pool at all or sunbathe […] there. In any case it gets far too crowded at weekends. I liked the hotel; it offers good value and the location is superb. rooms around the pool are noisy though with live music that wakes you up at weekends. I would return. Recommended Pročitajte više

Over the years, this quaint hotel has been expanding. Unfortunately, the constant construction - at all hours of the day - and the diminishing interest in quality service, has affected the overall charm of this hotel. Focus has shifted to serving bus loads of people and large events, and not in customer comfort. Very sad.

Wonderful upscale hotel. Beautiful spot, personnel, location, ambience, all. Highly recommend. Extremely pleased top to bottom : pool, grounds, visuals of surrounding volcanos, location in city, etc., etc. restaurants nearby and lovely one within hotel. Porta exceeded my expectations. A quiet location, just a few blocks from the central plaza, Porta is filled with surprises at every turn. Colorful grounds, exotic birds, inviting pools, gorgeous native flowers and plants, all in the shadow of the imposing Volcano Agua. This is a must return destination!

this is the second time that I have staayed in this hotel and I would absolutly do it again!!! I love it!

Very nice hotel that offers high quality service while still feeling real and authentic. Food at the restaurant is delicious. We loved it. Staff at the front desk is very helpful, they helped us make many phone calls and translated what we wanted to say from english to spanish.

H2H brings small groups to do community service work in Guatemala. Porta Hotel's posted mission is in line with ours. We held a training for an indigenous group and all our conference needs were met. The gardens, pool and colorful birds are impeccable and so is the service. The food is good and the gym/spa experiences are great: Thoughtfully designed […] space, relaxing. N.B.: Request a room on the 2nd level as the 1st level rooms seem to be more damp (We were there holiday week Dec 2011). If you don't like noise from playing children, request a room away from the jungle gym. The parking lot is a walk, but if this is all we can complain about, you should consider this hotel! This is a really pretty hotel. It is well maintained and the staff if very helpful. The room was very comfortable. The buffet was good. I recommend this hotel.

This is a very nice hotel that is probably better at full season. In August, the steam room was out of service and the sauna was off and reportedly takes 30 minutes to heat up. My biggest problem was in-room ventilation. There is 1 window in the rooms in the section I was in and it opens onto the street, and even if you were willing to live with the […] lack of privacy, you'd have to climb over the desk to reach up to the window latch. There is a ceiling fan, but it merely circulates the room air so by morning the room felt stuffy. The breakfast buffet is great but costlier than ordering off the menu. The hotel was noisy. Felt like a college spring break hotel. Lacked any charm. Big and impersonal. After 2 days, I moved to the quaint Casa Madeliene which I highly recommend to all adults.

beautiful hotel!!! the staff was very helpful.

We had a wonderful time. This hotel is absolutely beautiful, and within walking distance to all the local shops and surrounded by so much culture. The staff were all wonderful and very friendly. Would love to visit again one day. Thanks for a great time!

The hotel is located in nice place to close from everything and the service is great the only thing than i don't like me was the parking lot it is a little bit inconvenient because is a two blocks from the hotel. The rest for the hotel, room, dinneroom, livingsroom, restaurant, everything its great.

La gente en recepcion es poco amable y no trata de ayudar al huesped. Hay que rogarles para lograr lo que uno necesita.

Es un hotel precioso, el personal muy amable, atento. La comida en el restaurant muy buena, tanto el bufet como a la carta. Es un sitio lleno de paz y que permite el contacto con la naturaleza por sus lindos jardines. Cerca del centro de la ciudad y por ende de los mercados y establecimientos comerciales. Servicio de tour a Atitlan excelente.

Muy buen servicio, buena ubicacion. El trato del personal es muy atenta y amable. La habitacion fue comoda y amplia.

La atenciòn en recepciòn muy buena. sus jardines y piscina con buen mantenimiento. les invito a ambientar con mayor calidez el area de las habitaciones del edificio nuevo,pues nos pareciò que hace falta limpieza en los pasillos ,mas iluminacion con velas y mas detalles en la decoraciòn .

A pesar de ser un buen hotel, con personal muy amable, hay que tener cuidado pues algunas habitaciones son muy encerradas y con poca ventilación, lo que hace necesario solicitar cambio. Lo arreglan de inmediato y con buena voluntad. El entorno, el edificio y las áreas verdes, insuperables.

Lo unico que no me gusto fue que la habitacion no tenia aire acondicionado y a pesar que el clima en general es agradable y que el techo de la habitacion es alto, a ciertas horas del dia y en ciertas epocas del anho, si se necesita que la habitacion tenga aire acondicionado. El parqueo si deja mucho que desear, sobre todo cuando ha llovido y se forman […] charcos. El hotel esta muy bien ubicado, la habitación podría haber sido un poco más grande para el tamaño de las camas, Por cierto muy ricas las camas. Por el precio debería incluir el desayuno como en otros hoteles de su categoria. Lindos jardines.

Excelente , la estadia en el Porta Hotel, excelente servicio todo el personal muy amable, con el animo siempre de ayudar a aclarar tus dudas, darte direcciones etc, una palabra para resumir, EXCELENTE
