Georgetown Suites - Washington

Meeting my kids after their 300-mile bike trip, ending in Georgetown at end of C&O canal, so great location for that. And great location, in general. Parking in underground garage is a bit scary and tight. Suite very comfortable. Breakfast could have been better.

This hotel is very well located just off Georgetown's main street. Buses are a short walk away and a further 10 minutes or so will find the Foggy Bottom Metro station. I thought the hotel room was outstanding, comfortable bed, excellent breakfast. The suite was very large with very clean and updated furniture. The bath room was designed for the upmost convience. The staff was very kind and helpful.

The hotel is clean but it definitely is in need for some serious upgrades. The bed sleeps like a water bed, extremely soft and bouncy. The worst part is that there is no hot water after one person showers. So if you're the second person who gets the shower in the morning, tough luck! You have to walk quite far to get to a train station, and from there you'll have to walk to the monuments. So we chose to walk to the monuments instead. it's a nice walk by the river, but it took close to an hour for two thirty something persons like us to get to the monuments. And there are cyclists, and dogs and kids along the way, so you'll be navigating a really crowded foot traffic walkway. One big plus is the hotel staff. I can honestly say that the Georgetown Suites was not my first choice or my second. I travel to DC often and normally stay at 2 other more exclusive hotels. It was cherry blossom season and EVERYTHING WAS BOOKED or a small fortune. I reluctantly booked at this hotel but was surprised when I arrived. The staff was friendly and informaative, there was […] free WIFI and a free large and complete breakfast buffet with fresh pastries, fresh fruit, oatmeal, cereal, sandwiches, waffles and even cappuccino and hot chocolate. The rooms were large and comfortable-the bed was perfect. Oh and I had a kitchen and a full size fridge! The only negatives we could find were that the elevators were not super fast and the lobby area/front desk is rather motel looking. I am a snob so for most people this would nt even be an issue. We came for a collegiate interview at Georgetown - we didn't know the Cherry Blossom Festival was in its first weekend! Lots going on! The Georgetown Suites is located in a prime location to Georgetown University, M-Street and Wisconsin Street Shopping, and the waterfront. (All within walking distance.) The rooms are very non-descript but roomy and comfortable. The gym was not fortified with much and was very difficult to find - in fact - the staff must lead you there in order for you to find it. Hotel and room was reasonably clean (above average). The Suite Room was nicely equipped with a kitchen. The included continental breakfast was actually quite good. The fitness room was not conveniently located but once there had all the necessary equipment.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Staff friendly and helpful, location very good - able to comfortably walk to the National Mall. Totally adequate breakfast with coffee available all day. Very happy with this place, happily recommend.

This is not the Ritz. But its location is better. Plus, with a fully functional kitchen, a family can enjoy the terrific access to all of Georgetown (by foot) and eat homemade meals at a fraction of the cost of a full service hotel. Plus, breakfast is included! No, not the Ritz. For a family, better!

They put us and another couple in rooms not facing the court yard and the niose level kept waking us uo, a truck unlaode at 2:30 am and a party was goin on untill late nite into the am. The staff seemen less the sincere when hearing this. I would not stay again .

The hotel is well located for the centre of Georgetown and for the University. Close to many Government buildings, it is ideal for those doing business there. The breakfast provided was simple and good. Room size was excellent.

Great location! Walked everywhere, or taxi price very reasonable. The room was very comfortable. Hallways smelled like smoke even though it is a smoke free hotel. Generous complimentary breakfast. Did i mention how great the location is?

Just what I needed. Walking distance to Blues Alley/Rachelle Ferrell show and restaurants. Convenient taxi service to Union Station. Comfortable night of rest and friendly service.

This was in a good location for what we needed. We were offered an upgrade to our room at no charge and was allowed late check out as well. The only thing I would suggest would be more lighting into the entry way off from 30th street. At night it would make it seem more safe if this were done.

it was very nice and literally like 50 steps from where we had to be early morning, the breakfast was delicious, and the front desk guys were super helpful with directions for getting back to the airport, and for sightseeing... overall a great experience!

The location is terrific, just off the main drag in Georgetown and adjacent to the C&O Canal Towpath. The secure garage that attaches directly to the hotel is a real bonus. The room was spacious and comfortable, if a bit dated, more in terms of architecture than decor. The only downside was the breakfast buffet. GEORGETOWN SUITES WATERFRONT LOCATION IS GREAT! IT IS CLOSE TO THE MASS TRANSPORTSTION STOP, WALKING DISTANCE TO MANY, MANY RESTAURANTS AND CLOSE TO THE RIVER. THE HOTEL STAFFF WAS FRIENDLY AND VERY HELPFUL. CONTINENTAL BREAKFAST WAS FRESH AND PLENTIFUL EACH DAY.

This is a very strange place. Be aware that this hotel is separated into two buildings that are on different blocks. In our case, we were in DC for a family event and we had 2 suites reserved. The rooms turned out to be in separate buildings. To get to each others' rooms in the evening we had to walk through very dark paths and through construction, […] along the C&O Canal. The main entrances to the buildings are dark and set back from the streets, so the dim lighting is neither safe nor welcoming. Also, the decor in both hotels is like a set from Mad Men, everything of the vintage of the early 1960s. It had a seedy feeling, and the metal closet doors in our room wouldn't slide and and the closet door knob kept falling off. room 419-do not accept this room. AC unit very loud, room is located right above the entrance of the garage-it is very noisy. Breakfast is included in the price but terrible choices and coffee tastes really bad. Our bathroom was not really clean but i can't speak for other rooms. I will not stay at this hotel next time.

This is a decent suite-style hotel, very convenient to Georgetown University. It has a respectable gym, is well-maintained, and serves a decent breakfast. My only complaint: the elevators are very, very slow. Ask for a low floor and/or take the stairs.

The one bedroom suite was comfortable for a family of four. The bath room was large and the double sink was helpful. The closet organizer was convenient and better than having a dresser in the room. The lobby needs to be updated.

I was extremely impressed with my stay at Georgetown Suites. Although the hotel itself is a bit dated, the rooms were in pristine condition and the bed extremely comfortable and inviting. Will defitinetly return to this location on my next trip to DC.

Was supposed to have a room with 2 beds. Hotels.com screwed up. Also the hotel took almost an hour to find my reservation. They did make up for it as best they could.
