Hotel is located in nice location,very near to c.s.t station.very accessabile to near by business and tourist place such as bombay stock exchange,gateway of india etc.rooms are small but clean.breakfast was good and waiters are very helpful. i stayed here in january 2013. the hotel rooms are very clean, i think they have been recently renovated. they were doing some work cutting out windows while i was there but only during the day. really great location, close to starbucks as well. i went to starbucks and used their free wifi. close to the train station.

Great location. Walking distance to Victoria Terminus, Prince Albert Museum, Gateway to India, as well as many restaurants. Hotel has been modernised - our room was very comfy and practical. It's a very good base for travellers to explore southern Mumbai.

The service and front desk staff were fantastic - they answered all of our questions and were very helpful with some trip planning. The condition of the hotel is another story. They really shouldn't be allowing guests to stay until they've finished construction. They claim that it's 10am-9pm, but we had to call at least 1 night when it was still going […] on well after 10:30pm - I think they just worked until a guest called to complain. There also weren't items that I assumed every hotel had - toiletries, extra toilet paper, a bath mat, tissues, and a clock. We were assured all of the linens were clean, although there were some stains and some were a dingy white - possibly they don't use bleach, but it was still a bit icky. Our air conditioning also turned off all of the time, and the staff had a hard time figuring out why, although they did send in extra help and remote controls. The stairway is also a little treacherous - the top step is too short for a human foot - I actually fell down the first few stairs and got a huge gash in my calf from a piece of equipment/machinery that has remained on the landing. Fabulous location between Victoria Terminus and Gateway to India in Fort Mumbai area. The hotel is undergoing renovations but did not impact on our stay. Check-in staff were friendly, efficient and helpful and even supplied us with a list of local restaurants, which was very handy as it was 10.30pm when we arrived. The hotel was undergoing refurbishment, so was very dusty. Our room was scruffy but adequate. There was a lot of traffic noise from early in the morning. There are 2 parts to this hotel, there is the main building which has the reception and one a few doors down outside and separate, we were first shown a room in the main building which had 2 single beds and not much more room which was not adequate for us as we do yoga in the mornings and there was not room enough for one mat let alone two. The other […] issue was that they are renovating that main building on the first floor which would carry on until 7pm each night and created a lot of dust. I was very disappointed with this room and we went to reception to ask about being moved which is when we found out about the new part of the building, which was renovated last year and much much nicer, the room had a double bed and space enough (barely) for 2 yoga mats so we paid the extra 800 rupees per night which also covered free wifi and breakfast. The shower was superb, tons of hot water and great pressure, the best in India for us on this trip. Overall the staff were excellent and we really enjoyed the location, much more than being in Colaba which we find too touristy. We had some great street food down the road too. One scary thing was that we were told there was one room in the old part they didn't want to give us as there were bed bugs which they were dealing with, I wouldn't have stayed in the old building but by the time the works are finished next year it will be lovely. have stayed three times now and the service and the staff are both very good. It is close to the main tourist sites and you can walk easily to them. The only downside at the moment is that the hotel is undergoing renovations and the noise and the dust is off putting. Otherwise a great hotel.

My wife and I stayed at the Residency Hotel in Colaba for 4 nights. The location is amazing, the service could not be better, and the breakfast is CHEAP! There was construction going on while we were there so I would suggest confirming that you DO NOT get put on a floor with construction. Other than that-great stay.

The location of the hotel is great - close to most all downtown Mumbai sights and business center. The room prices are definitely the reason to stay here - for business or tourism. It was my first time in India so I didn't really have any expectations as to what standard to expect. I was happy with my room and the bed was extremely comfortable. You might not be so keen on the shower that drains into a plughole in the floor or the slight bug problem in the shower but it didn't bother me ("hey, it's India" I thought and any insects […] get flushed out when you turn the shower on) others might have a problem. First of all the room was very tiny and noisy. There was hotel construction during the day and traffic/street noise almoust 24 hours... I can not say that this hotel is the cleanest hotel I have ever been. There was a bad smell coming from the bathroom. My fiance chose this hotel after seeing the reviews (3.9 out of 5). The location was fine. Also, no toilet paper which is par for the course here. Sometimes you get toilet paper; sometimes you don't. The comforter had holes in it. We asked for a second room because of the dust but the second room was only a slight step up from the last. Good hotel although there was a lot of renovation work going on at the hotel on the first floor that we weren't made aware of before travelling. The noise was quite disrupting especially in the mornings when you wanted a lie in. On check in we found out that the room that we booked wasn't available and we were given a dingy twin room. After complaining, […] they said that we could have the suite room for one night, then our paid for room would be available the next day. I was not happy with this as having to move rooms was not what we wanted after travelling so far and long. They then let us keep the suite for the 4 nights. This hotel is a close walk to Marine Drive where at sunset the local families come out in droves to watch the sunset and exchange gossip in the cooler part of the day. It's close to many good restaurants and cafes so eating out is convenient and value for money. This place was OK. Not more. I preferred the one at the airport. I'm not usually bothered by noise, but this was over the top loud; I did not sleep all night. And it wasn't traffic noise that bothered me. I think that staff were using the room next to mine b/c the doorbell was ringing all night long -- doors opening and closing. I was very happy with this hotel. The staff was great. The location for me couldn't have been better. The room service was good. The hotel was very good value for the money. The only negatives were a "touchy" TV (could have been the monsoon storms) and a piece of furniture that appeared to be half repaired, but these were really minor to me.

Excellent stay in Fort Mumbai. We stayed for 6 nights upon arival and 2 nights before departure, Both rooms we stayed in were clean and had all modcons. The bathroom was excellent and clean. Flatscreen tv with English channels. Morning paper. Sehr modernes und sauberes Zimmer. Im Haus leider Baustelle, die Nacht war kurz. Sehenswertes war gut zu Fuß erreichbar. Preis/Leistung mittelprächtig. Frühstück nicht im Preis inbegriffen, hätte bei der Rate allerdings mit dabei sein müssen.

Läget i Mumbai Fort distriktet är bra. Det är gångavstånd till de flesta sevärdheter och det är ett "säkert" område. Det tar ungefär en timme dit från flygplatsen och om taxichauffören frågar så välj att ta vägen över "Sea bridge" som förvisso är 50 Rupies dyrare, men sparar dig 20 minuter.  En taxi med AC från flygplatsen bör kosta cirka 500 Rupies […] och det kan vara en fördel att låta hotellet beställa den då chaufförerna utanför kan vara rätt aggresiva för att få dig att åka med. Rummen är små och men funktionella, med safety box, tv, vattenkokare, AC, takfläkt och man får dessutom en gratis dagstidning på morgonen. De har inte gratis Wi-Fi på rummen, men det finns i receptionen samt två datorer att nyttja. Sängarna är dock i minsta laget, så välj hellre två "Single beds" än den "King-Size" som erbjuds.  Det är lyhört från gatan med trafikljud, ylande hundar och annat. Frukost ingår inte i priset, men det finns för 100 Rupies i hotellets restaurang en frukost-buffé, i kontinental stil, som är helt ok.  Pročitajte više
