Not a bad choice for the price. Convenient location with it's own beach etc. Swimming pool a concern since it is all only three feet deep and I wasn't the only one who jumped into the "deep end" - could have really done damage . Signage non-existant except faded letters in cement. Room nicely appointed, very clean but in need of some repair to furniture […] etc. Breakfast was very sparse with surly waitresses.Toaster took ten minutes to do the bread -which had to be re-insterted three times.Knowing what I know I would still stay there again. I Stayed here before and it was great directly on the Beach and drnks were good! Price wasn't so high though...Now prices gone up like its america and the resturant is just awful!..but its still good location in the middle of the town where the pool is clean and you walk directly onto the beach!

This hotel is located in a great location in the midst of everything, however the cleanliness of the hotel is not great. I found mouth droppings in the bathroom on my last day at the hotel. For the price of the hotel, I guess is what to expect

When we arrived, Linda was at the check in desk. She said our room was on the third floor so she was giving us an up grade to a room on the first floor. The room had mold. The fact that it's centrally located in the heart of Ocho Rios can't be beat. You also get good views of the ocean from your room. Management and staff just needs to pay greater attention to the condition of the rooms. My room stunk of cigarettes when i checked in and when i flushed the toilet it came over onto the floor. Maintenance came up right away […] but, through the remainder of my stay i had to flush about 8 times before everything went down. Some guests (locals) found it amusing to pull the fire alarm at 2 in the morning. Complaints to the front desk didn't seem to deter them. we booked a king size bed we got a queen bed instead, towels were not always replaced, we were given one bar of soap for our whole stay,( 4 days) , the bath tub was greasy and the room was not cleaned properly. will not stay at this hotel again.

We booked in for a 2 night stay at the end of my holiday. Overall, the customer service was poor. It took 2 hours to check in and we were not given a suitable explanation or thank you for your patience. Breakfast service was atrocious. Excellent position right on the beach and in the town centre, convenient for every thing. Negatives: not much communication at the beginning about what the hotel has to offer. The front desk staff especially shandie and teresa was wonderful the housekeeping was great ( Andrea ) the food is good. Lots to do I suggest margeritta ville and club amnesia had a blast can't wait to go bck.

To sum this up quickly customer service very poor front desk poor they need peoples skills they need less time talking on the phone for personal use and attend to us customer .restuarant service very poor and slow. the same food being serve every day. asking customer their room number at the gate by security is just not a good idea our safty should […] count thats not safety why should we trust that no one would rob our room the men that hanging at the security gate why are they even there just arresing the female its disgusting but security are friends with them.therefore we do feel safe. rooms on the beach is a dump no one should stay there. This is a decent hotel for a no frills property. The staff is very friendly and accommodating, and the property is located on a great beach!

This is a great smaller hotel, service was friendly. Maintenance came right away for a blocked bathtub drain and when we asked for extra pillows, housekeeping showed up within a reasonable time. The breakfast, which was included was o.k., just enough to get your day started. Centrally located in downtown Ocho Rios, easy to get around. All in all, good […] for the price. Rooms very poorly maintained,bathrooms not properly cleaned,had four room changes in 10 days, safety lock in first room unable to lock sign of disturbance on returning from day out

This was my first time staying in Ocho Rios and I was extremely pleased with the hotel for the cost. I just hated the fence between the hotel and the beach but I know it was for the protection of the guess. Jamaica is not like the other islands I love to visit, however, I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Ocho Rios.

For the price, the hotel quality and location was superb.

A few niggling things: Why no shampoo provided in the bathroom? Music at the pool bar played way too loudly. Also, this hotel is located on the bay where the cruise ships dock, so the water is not the cleanest--i.e., a fair amount of trash in the water. Also no surf to speak of. If you want white sandy beaches, try a place on Mallard's Bay.

This hotel is in a very convenient location although not in the best part of town. I would not recomend this hotel for meals especially breakfast. The wait time is extremly long, we had bacon that was undercooked, and the waiters/waitresses are not the most pleasant. Room service was not the best. This was our 4th time staying at Rooms on the Beach and it was even better than the last visit. The people are helpful and friendly, the hotel is clean and comfortable, the location is great, and the food and drinks are great. This was a very nice Hotel. the service was wonderful and the Hotel staff was so nice and friendly. I will be back to Rooms on the beach!!!

The room itself was alright. The furniture was ancient and the bed was horrible! At night, dozens of cats roamed the halls fighting and yowling. Didn't get much sleep. The staff were all nice except the desk clerk who was borderline rude. There is a nice beach and patio area. Would I go back, NO!

Front desk personnel were very courteous and polite; the first room they offered me was on the first floor with an ocean view; however, the pool area was right in front of my window, which did not give me any privacy. For dinning, go outside the gate and right on Main ST, there is a Jimmy Buffet Margaritaville Restaurant/night Club A+, the staff was great. I ordered a meal, which was plentiful and came piping hot on a hot iron skillet and the food was delicious. I also ate at the Chinese Restaurant just outside the gate, I rate them a C-, the food was not that great. Outside the gate and left on Main Street you can purchase authentic Jerk Chicken, beverages and snacks if you so desire. Be sure to negotiate the price when buying from street vendors, you should pay no more than $250.00 JA Dollars for a quarter of Jerk Chicken. I rented a car from Island Car Rental A+, great service, nice almost new car. I felt very safe on Main Street, there are Deputized Police every few yards and you cannot miss them; they are in uniform and wears a big white Fireman's hat. Please use Jamaican money and no other currency out in town, you are just ripping yourself off by doing so. I had a great time and will stay at Rooms on The Beach the next time I go back to Jamaica. Although the room was basic (about 3 stars), the hotel property is FABULOUS! We got a 5-star property with all the bang for our buck! Very secure for autos and people-never felt "exposed". Excellent location--right in the middle of the Ocho Rios Beach, the pool is clean and you can choose to sit in the sun or in the shade. They put out chaise lounges […] on the beach, lifeguards on duty during the open pool hours. The security guards were "on it" and called us by name after the first meeting. Correcta relacion precio calidad considerando los precios del area. Playa tambien correcta con el mismo tipo de consideración, sin duda es concurrida y uno se encuentra mirando de frente al crucero que atraca casi todos los dias. Dejlig beliggenhed tæt på bycentrum og tæt på strand. God swimmingpool, fin hygiejne. Meget lydt på hotellet, og larm og råberi på gangen flere gange om natten.
