Its a better part of Sacramento to stay and for the price it was good. The bathrooms were nice and the rooms ok. The breakfast was better than just a simple pastry and fruit. They had waffles and other stuff. The juice was gross because it was watery but that's our only complaint.

The hotel was OK, but surrounding area full of homeless and some of the other guests loud, scruffy and rude. Late night altercation in parking lot and upstairs room (at 3:30a.m.) went on for half an hour with no interference from staff. Shouts and threats. Closed restauraunt next door is an eyesore.

We were very disappointed in the ammentities, the service, and the explosion of the cottonwood trees little cotton droppings....played havoc on the allergies!

For the price it was nice. Close to Old town Sacramento and the river trail is great. Room was a nice size and clean. Waffle maker wasn't working always wish for healthier breakfast choices, but over all Happy with our stay.

Internet was spotty at best. There was a smell of cigarettes even in the non-smoking rooms & hall. Staff was friendly.

It was a very nice Hotel. I will stay there again when I am in Sacramento. The only thing I did not like, was I had to get up by 9 am to get the free breakfast, and that was just too early on vacation, and they will not let you take food to your room.

Stayed one night for a wrestling tournament. Thought for the price it would be dirty but was surprised how clean it was. Not an overlly nice hotel but fairly comfortable beds and clean. Great value.

Got what I paid for with this hotel. Nice enough room, next to 3 or 4 other hotels. Off the "main" road, and next to the riverwalk (nice!). Some wear around the edges, and not much for breakfast.

Was great location for the event we were in town for. Only bad thing was people outside/down stairs that were noisy and up until approx 3am. BBQ restaurant next door was convenient but too plain - could tell it's only customers were out of town visitors. We'll eat somewhere else next time.

This hotel was booked for its location. however if I had known that it was in need of maintenance I would not have stayed. the bathroom needed a total overhaul- the faucet in the sing was not affixed to the counter and the shower head was loose from the wall. Not to mention I was put right next door to the hotel laundry room.

It was fairly well kept up. Beds were old, pillows hard and there was even an old rip in the comforter. Sheets and one blanket very thin. Breakfast items were put out a few at a time and they were out of waffle batter by 8am. There are several hotels on the same street. I would try another next time.

They say there is free shuttle service but there is not. We called from the airport and were told that we need to schedule the shuttle at least 24hr.in advance.. but we could take a $40 cab or $50 shuttle bus. So when i checked in i asked for a morning shuttle the next day and told that we would be charged for that too. I thought it was a very fair price for the room. The room was very small but it was clean and everything was up to date. Why I choose this place over the other places to stay in the adjacent area was that this place had a hallway entrance to the room which is extremely important to me. Call me snobby but I like to be separated from the down town rift […] raft. Downtown was extremely close to drive to. You can't really walk there from the area but it's only like a 3 minute drive. Big picture of the good: the rooms I saw were modern & clean. The staff is generally friendly & helpful. That said, the hotel advertises "free" airport shuttle service but does not specify the hours of operation, and I eventually learned, due to a flight delay, that if you arrive late, shuttle service won't happen at any price. Also, even though the […] hotel web site advertises "free" airport shuttle, on one occasion, one of the staff told me on the phone prior to arrival that there would be a minimal shuttle charge ($10), until I told her someone else on their staff said it was both free & that their web site advertised "free", at which point it became free. The bad, nite 1: - even though I had paid for & requested a room several weeks in advance via the internet, requesting a room in a quiet location due to being a lite sleeper, I was given a ground floor room by the entry/exit door a few feet from the parking lot. The good, nite 2: - once I was physically present in the hotel lobby & made a direct request to the staff, they arranged to move me to a quieter room on the 2nd floor, away from any entry/exit door and away from the parking lot. The continental breakfast both days I was there = tasty muffins/bagels, untasted pancakes & 2 types of cold cereal w/coffee & juice. The dining area is pretty small, so you need to be prepared for that. Generally, the security seemed good ie lots of locks on the doors & plenty of security surveillance cameras outside. Amidst a sea of other similar hotel chains, this one is fine for an overnight stay en route to the airport or another destination. The rooms are small but comfortable and the management seemed helpful and responsive. However, I would not recommend it for a longer stay or with small children.

I flew into Sacramento late at night and out early the next morning. I was able to make a reservation to have their free airport shuttle pick me up when I flew in and drop me off the next morning before 5 am. Very convenient!

The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, but the smell was bordering on intolerable. Even in a non-smoking room, the hallways stank of stale cigarette smoke, and it had combined with the cleaning solutions to form a smell similar to skunk. The Days Inn was a good deal for the price. It was in the outskirts of downtown Sacramento so you really need a car to get around. I used cabs and it would have been much more economical to rent a car. The staff were nice and welcoming and answered my questions. The room was comfortable and clean.

I booked a three night stay at the Days Inn Hotel in Downtown Sacramento, and I must say that it exceeded my expectations. The major downside of of this hotel is the area in which it is located. That part of downtown Sacramento is like Meth-Head City, and if you're trying to get to Old Town or the Capitol building do yourself a favor and just walk there along the American River pathway (which is about a quarter of a mile form the hotel and is about a mile walk to Old Town), because the bus services are slow and the stop signs are not properly listed; you'd have to actually ask the bus driver which way they're going, because the stops do not have common sense markers like "Going North" or "To Downtown". I would expect to have seen better furnishings and pillows were used to their capacity. Not enough towels if bathing twice a night and thats two occupying the room. I would have thought that Days Inn is fairly new, I was surprised to see such a run down Hotel. I will not stay for the price that I paid....
