"A lot for less"
Our room was more like a small apartment. Kitchen with all the extras, living room with pull out sofa and a big screen TV. I can't even say enough about how great everything was at this Residence Inn. The staff was very helpful. My room very clean. Oh the bed was so comfortable. Basically I felt like I had died and gone to heaven. Also very quiet don't hear slamming doors or people talking in the hallway. Booked room last minute for corporate travel. Wasn't familiar with area and after using google maps to see area seemed like it would be safe for my car and camera equipment. Staff was extremely nice, polite and when I asked about local dining they went out of their way to provide maps and diagram what places I may like and what types of places would […] best suits my needs. I bumped into maintenance staff and he was just as polite and kind as the rest of the hotel staff. People always come first for me and then the room when I consider comfort. The room was excellent and more than I expected....I felt like I had my own private condo. I would definitely stay here again. ....Hope this serves someone well. "Pet Deposit Totally Unreasonable"
I was traveling with a 7pound Youkie who is six years old and totally house broken. When I made the reservation I specifically requested a pet-friendy hotel. Most Pet Friendly hotels charge anywhere from $15.00 to $25.00 for pets - and this was consistent on my road trip from Florida to Cape Cod, MA. At check in I was informed that this Marriott charges […] a $100 non refundable pet deposit. That is outrageous and unacceptable. We checked in at 9:00 PM and left at 8:00 AM the next morning. If I had other choices - I would not have stayed. Hotels.com should be aware of excessive charges that are Tripp,e that of their competition. I felt very cheated by both Hotels.com and Marriott. "Great hotel...if you can find it!"
Pros: Great value and lovely hotel. Rooms are spacious and nicely equipped. Hotel is new, neat and clean. Breakfast was delicious and included waffles, eggs, and sausage. Pool was closed for the season. Cons: It is REALLY hard to find. You can't see the hotel or it's sign from the Interstate, the connecting road, or even from the road it's on. In fact, […] there's another Marriot next door that we went to first because the Residence Inn is so far from the road. Parking, especially near the front door is lacking. Pull out bed was the usual variety with the wimpy mattress. Overall, we loved the stay & it was a good value, but there were definitely some downsides if you don't have a GPS to find the place or a desire to walk 100 yards from the parking lot. My boyfriend and I checked in to Residence Inn by Marriott Milford after booking through Hotels.com. We were greeted by a super nice lady who treated us with kindness and respect. The lobby of the hotel reminded us of a cool ski lodge you'd find in Colorado with a fireplace and welcoming furnishings. When we got to our room, we were blown away by the […] fact that not only was there a kitchen (somehow missed that when booking) but there was free popcorn, free breakfast and a pool! We were headed to NYC the next day to fly out of JFK and were expecting your basic room, but instead was surprised with a suite! I will be recommending this place to my friends and family! Overall a very nice hotel. Clean comfy room with a full kitchen. Seperate bedroom was a nice feature with 2 kids(as were the 2 seperate TVs) Free on site parking. 24 hour shop in the lobby with all kinds of sundries, snacks, and ice cream. Pool and grill outside will be nice in the summer. Convenient right off 95. Hot breakfast buffet was pretty well […] stocked. Only drawback was the fire alarm about 10 in the AM-quite possibly the loudest thing I've ever heard-scared the pants off the kids and after 20 mins gave me a wailing headache so we decided to hit the road a few hours earlier than we planned.
