The staff were amazing..there seems to be 4 staff for every guest. My biggest gripe was that i was put on a 4th floor room on the main road side..the car horns and such drove me mad...all day and night! So if you stay here..request a room at the back side of the hotel.

I always enjoy my trips to PI and really like the location of the Fernandina 88. On this stay in a delux room, I paid for a second room upgrade so my girlfriends sister could spend the night. This room looked brand new and was very comfortable as well. Great Hotel, great service from the staff...and good food.

Bed is horrible. Sunken right in the middle. There were small cockroaches in the room. Got beaten all over my body on one night. Woke up and found dead crushed cockroaches on the bed. If you are a decent traveler with or without family, you definitely have to ignore Fernandina Hotel in Quezon City, Philippines at all cost. It is not a good hotel – you will waste your blood and money. I can write a book about this hotel, with tons of my negative comments. To name a few, these are some of my comments: very noisy even at 3:00 in the […] morning; the first room my family and I were in (5th floor) had big “ipis” (cockroach) in it that I demanded to change room; the second room was in the 6th floor, where we could hear the loudness of people in their party room partying all night long almost every night – I always had to call the front desk asking for help; the bathroom was always clogged; they only provided one little lousy roll of toilet paper a day for my wife and grandson that we always had to call for extra almost on a daily basis for ten days we were there; the wi-fi connection was bad; towels were dirty; the room has 2 telephones in the room – one to call out, and one used as intercom if you want to talk to the front desk; calling out using the local phone is pain in the rear that we could not call using direct dial (even when calling the hospital where my father-in-law was confined before passing away) – we always had to ask the front desk for assistance, and still could not connect; no refrigerator in the room, just microwave; 10,000 people working in the restaurant stared at us while we ate breakfast; there was only one very small elevator working at the time we were there, the other one was broke); elevator was always operated by the hotel personnel, who would always greet you “good morning, sir” or “good morning, ma’am” – if you use the elevator 100 times, they would greet you 100 times also, which was very irritating (of course); front desk manager was rude and no manners; all receipts are done manually, not electronic; parking in the front of the building was a mess as they left no room for people to pass through, in getting in and out of the Pročitajte više

Cubao, the area in which the hotel is located, appears to be safe and suitable for families. The hotel itself has a pleasing exterior and reception area. The staff are excellent; we found them to be without exception friendly and helpful, and nothing is too much trouble. We only used the restaurant for breakfast, which was buffet-style and consisted […] mainly of asian/filipino foods. The food at breakfast is good and definitely worth a try. Our room (a one-bedroom deluxe suite) didn't look much like the pictures on the hotel's website; it was clean and acceptable, but the furniture had seen better days and the dark decoration (wood panelling and dark green) made the room unnecessarily and disappointingly dark. Air conditioning was fine. The kitchen area has a fridge, but please note you will need to pay an extra P300 per day for cooker and utensils. Our room was at the back of the hotel and was quiet, although I imagine the ones at the front would be noisy because of the busy main road. Please note the hotel is currently being renovated, so some of the comments above about decoration and furniture may be being resolved. The breakfast buffet was great, the room was not. The moment you laid down on the beds, the sheets were untucked, they were no more than 4 inches total larger than the mattress. The sink J-trap leaked (a lot) all the while we were there. The hot water for the shower came out at a volume that was less then a gal every 5 mins and was never more than luke-warm […] at best. I had pre-paid for 2 weeks, and when I attempted to check-out early and go to a different hotel, I was told my refund would have to come from expedia...I was not in a position to do that, so I ws stuck. Housekeeping didn't come at all for the 1st week, even tho I called the desk. I had booked for 3 guests, but apparently, the hotel sees that as a means to collect more money without providing any additional service. There were NO linens provided for the 3rd guest, and I had to pay an extra charge for a blanket. Housekeeping wouldn't even provide 3rd towel unless Iasked them. The concierge service was appalling, I wanted a taxi to take me to the embassy,and the concierge tried to get me to hire a car for the day so I wouldn't have "to try to get a taxi by the embassy, very hard to do" The cost of a taxi to the embassy was about 7 dollars, they wanted me to hire the car and driver for $85 for the day. When I arrived at the hotel from the airport. the taxi charged me $35, I questioned that and was told that was normal, the return trip to the airport was less than $10, I believe the concierge gets kick-backs Pročitajte više

So I had to carry my laptop to the restaurant to access the Internet. Again, the staff made a big difference - they gave me the access password without any questions, did not need me to make any orders, and even served me cold water without me asking. It really helped to ease the inconvenience of the lack of Internet access. Will highly recommend this hotel for the customer service, although if you are looking for extremely posh room furnishings and Internet access in the room, you might want to look elsewhere... Fernandina 88 ist nach meiner persönlichen Erfahrung keineswegs als 3-Sterne-Hotel zu bezeichnen. Dafür ist die Einrichtung viel zu einfach. Die Küchenbenutzung ist nur gegen 300 Peso Aufpreis (pro Tag) möglich.
