The hotel is tucked back and quiet. Very comfortable bed, room very clean. Not much to walk to in the area, but a nice place to stay for the price! Continental breakfast was good and offered yogurt, must take to your room as there is nowhere to sit in the lobby. Second time there, will stay again.

It's a fairly clean and comfortable place to stay if you don't want to pay the higher prices in downtown. The area isn't bustling nearby, but it's a good location for Cow Palace. Breakfast consisted of cereal, coffee and orange juice, yogurt, and packaged danishes. CONS - I have a few qualms about my experience: There were dried blood stains on my bed […] sheets...I placed the card down on the bed to change the sheets but the maid just fixed my bed with the same blood stains. The shower had a crack in the floor that let water seep through to a soft spot on the floor and what I assume would cause mold. There's no central heating or cooling, and bathroom can get a bit cold. The "soap" and lotion is from dispensers (both are awful as expected), but there's no distinguishing between shampoo or soap, so I suggest you bring your own. No counter space in the bathroom. PROS - There was another room for the second bed, which was very nice. Free breakfast in the morning. Free parking. Free wi-fi (even though slow). In-room refrigerator and microwave. The hotel is at a quiet location at the side of a hill, rooms are small but quaint, sound-proofness between rooms could be much better. Breakfast was minimal but good enough to get you going. I needed directions to the hotel but the front desk staff did not speak english well. This is the second time it happened to me and I merely suggest to put english speaking personal in that position.

The location, next to the Cow Palace, was perfect. The Swiss-style older motel is on a steep hillside with flowers planted in flower boxes outside the door. Rooms are small but comfortable and are clean. Breakfast is skimpy and you need to get there early if you want anything but coffee. The quiet was wonderful.

Liked the place and it's friendly staff. Nice and quiet. It was very convenient to hop on 8X bus that would take you to Fisherman's Wharf in 40 minutes so it eliminated parking problems if car is used.,

The hotel was very nice and comfortable. The beds in individual rooms was a plus for privacy. Rooms were very clean and in a quiet setting just outside the city. Close to many things to do in San Francisco.

This hotel was definitely one of the best I've ever stayed at. The rooms are beautiful and clean, the beds are SO comfortable, and the service is great. I liked how the hotel was kind of a haven away from the business of San Francisco, although there is a bit of a drive to get to the city. I'd definitely stay here again if given the chance!

Pros: the staff were very, very friendly and helpful. The rooms are cute and different and the motel itself was clean inside and out. Good price for the location. Cons: the room stank of cleaning products (it almost smells like an indoor pool when you open the door into a room). Had to leave a window open. The bedding was really light, and didn't smell […] all that charming and the towels were thin and stank like there was a stench that cleaning couldn't get out. Breakfast was OK albeit meager. We stayed one night in mid-April. It's obvious the rooms are being upgraded. The room ambiance was quite nice, and very quiet. Be aware that the rooms are situated along a hill which requires you to drive or walk up quite a grade. Stayed here a week, had access to was clothes and dryer. Everyday we had clean towns and the room was properly cleaned! Very impressed. Local area not fantastic but you do feel very safe in hotel/lodges area.

The motel was in a very quite area. Lovely potted flowers.No freeway noise. Our unit actually had 2 rooms. Beds very comfortable. Showers are basic but clean. The rate included breakfast which was mainly cereal and pastries. You have to get your food and take it to the room since there is no dining area. Overall it was great.

Internet - free wifi - a little slow. Very helpful motel office, good bed - bathroom OK, far from everything including shops. Location good if you have a car and need to go south bay on freeway.

Very well cared for. Hard working staff. Area felt safe and was convenient to San Francisco. Breakfast hardly worth it but its something. Free parking right in front room. For the price it was excellent! Would definitely recommend for anyone wanting a clean safe convenient place to stay for cheap.

Stayed there to be close to San Francisco State University. Hotel staff was very pleasant and helpful with directions, etc..Unfortunately, paper thin walls resulted in hearing loud neighbors. Very noisy heater and refrigerator. Had to unplug both to get some sleep. Probably won't stay there again.

This was only two miles from out kids so it was extremely convenient to see them. There are no restaurants other then fast food close to the motel. The continental breakfast was extremely limited. Now that we know the city better we would not stay there. We went there due to visiting San Francisco State University. We would look for a location between san Fran and the University. Good breakfast items. Managers polite and accomodating for extra blankets. Small towels in the bathroom.

Overall, it was fine. The only issue seemed to be the walls were a bit thin so bring earplugs. Also, the tv satellite feed had some problems but we didn't watch much anyway. Nice, responsive staff. The room was clean and tidy and they cleaned it daily. No insects, no stains, no bad smell. The room equipment is slightly worn-out visually but all functioned well. The hotel was everything I expected it to be. The place was exactly as my title says: clean, convenient, and cozy. I missed a 4th "C" too: CHEAP! The rate was a lot lower than any of the surrounding hotels and was most likely better than them. Go to this hotel! End of story.
