Hotel/room really needs to be updated...especially caulking in bathroom, carpet in halls/room. Room furniture somewhat outdated..beds were very comfortable making for a great night's sleep. Lobby was open, airy & full of brochures for restaurants/attractions. "A great set up for computers, etc..."
The room was nicer than I expected for a discount hotel and the people were friendly enough. The disappointments were that the key didnt work the majority of the time, and we were reserved for 3 adults and the room only had enough towels for 2 and when we asked for another set of towels we were told they would have to see if there were any more available […] since they were full and we were late arrivals. Based on the previous review I was concerned about room. But needed a room. When we got there I was completely surprised. I saw old mattresses outside the back of the motel. We had a great stay at this hotel. There was always someone asking us how our stay was going, with a super friendly staff. The breakfasts in the morning were small, but much appreciated, and the room was pretty nice. There was a little bit of an issue with mattresses stacked right outside the hotel to the left and right. Seems they were going through […] a new mattress phase-out and had no place to get rid of the old ones, so they stacked them outside for all to see. I dont have much to say. Place feels dated like its a time machine that takes you back four decades. Place is a little overpriced, but probably because it's so close to I-94. We didn't get a non-smoking room (didn't see any), but don't think it would made a difference. The whole motel smelled like cigarettes.
