Great hotel in the trendiest neighborhood of Edmonton. Near all the shops and night life that you could want. They even valet park your car for you! They have the best continental breakfast i have ever had in a hotel!

Was good. The only inconvenient of that Hotel is the parking accessibility. You have to give your car to the Valet. But in overall was good. Breakfast and wine and cheese need some upgrade.

Parking is very inconvenient, it is a block away, down a back alley and if the weather is bad it would even be worse. There is valet parking, but it can take up to 45 mins. Parking is 2 blocks away, and you essentially have to get your car valet parked. It's free, but still annoying. They need 45 min notice to get your car, or you have to tell them then when you want it the night before. This was a big negative for me. Otherwise, everything else was average.

Metterra hotel In Edmonton's popular U of A area has reasonable rates that include a modest breakfast. Hotel room is uninspiring but functional, bathroom large with Multi head shower, and no decoration. Slept fine and is handy to neighborhood .

The Metterra is a lovely hotel that offers all the amenities we appreciate when going out for a romantic time on the town. Th prices are a little on the high side, but we have still chosen this hotel over others nearby because it is clean, comfortable, quiet and classy. Very overpriced and undervalued. Staff had better things to do than be there. Room needed to better things to do than be there. Room needed to be vacuumed. The location is in a a nice area to walk around. There are shops and restaurants nearby. Service was friendly and pleasant. The evening wine reception and morning breakfast were nice bonuses. I would say the cheese in the wine reception was very basic. Not too interesting. Wine was great though with four options. Our room was nice and clean. The washroom was a little old, but clean. Unfortunately this was not for the other couples we traveled with. There sheets were dirty, also leaking drains wet their floors and bathroom sink drain was clogged. The front staff manning the day and late night were extremely helpful and pleasant to deal with. Fantastic location and excellent service and amenities. The complimentary breakfast and free valet parking are a huge value. The flat screen tv was great and they had accessible plug ins beside the bed on both sides so we could charge our phones and ipads easily while we were lounging. Keurig coffee maker, fridge and a selection of snacks and drinks in the mini bar was appreciated. The whole hotel smelled amazing too! Definitely staying here again. We had our car cleaned and detailed as well while we were there by a place just down the street. Super convenient. I looked in at the fitness centre and it had 1 treadmill, 1 elliptical, 1 recumbent bike, 1 bench, a few dumbbells and a universal gym. We usually stay downtown and it was really refreshing to see downtown from a distance. Overall a great experience, the only drawback was we asked to stay in the back so as not to hear the roadway traffic at night and ended up over the air exchange system. I had a one night stay at the hotel. The location was good as I wanted to be in an animated area, not in an industrial park or at the airport. As I had no car I could walk the Avenue, lots of nice restaurants, Starbucks/Chapters etc.. I had two pretty intense meetings that were over by 4pm and was to be picked up the next day at noon. The hotel had […] a lovely complimentary wine and cheese event at 5.30pm - 6.30pm (which they do every week night). With this and one of the apples they offer at all times, I really didn't need dinner. I had a good night's sleep. Was woken by a party on my floor at 1.15pm, but when I enquired about it, the night staffer was right on it and the noise dissapeared. Bath products were really good, the first time I've seen make up cleanser and face moisterizer in a room which was very welcome. The next morning I went for the complimentary breakfast which was amazing, great selection, you can even make your own waffles! I was able to check my email in their business centre, had a good workout in the gym and felt more than ready for my 12 o-clock meeting.... Everything was good except for checking in. When I went to the room I was assigned, I found that it was someone else's room. The housekeeper went down to the desk to ask for a change of room for me.

First night was excellent, appreciated the fact that the valet felt my car which was a high end sports car might be more than he could handle. I placed the car in the parking myself, and thought he was credible employee for letting me know that. Staff was great Friday night. Saturday, again the staff was excellent, no concerns, the Saturday valet took excellent care of my car and brought it around immediately when requested, and was in excellent shape. Sunday early am, brought the my car back the valet without my knowledge placed the car in an uncovered unsecure area. When asked to bring car around at 12:30, it wasn't until 1:45 my car was brought around, covered in snow, and with 18 km on the car????? since I last drove it. The inside mat was covered in mud and snow, and it smelled. Was not happy, and have found that the hood has a scratch in it due to a snow brush. Stayed here last weekend for a wedding. Our room faced the back lane and was quiet enough considering the busy street out front. Beds were really comfortable. This hotel is near many good restaurants, bars and shopping! Complimentary breakfast and latte was great!

Get the bar next door to enforce the loading zone necessary for valet parking. A couple of motorcycles took spaces one evening. Fortunately, there is lots of parking on residential streets one or two blocks south.

Great location but on Friday and Saturday nights, street activity is high. Beds are marvelous. Breakfast is also well presented and a good bonus. Parking is off sight but not a big issue. We have stayed at the Meterra twice now and don't have any major complaints. Several good restaurants close by.

Absolutely perfect location for our Fringe adventure - easy walk to tons of fab restaurants, bars, theatre, and action. We really loved our stay and will definitely be back.
