We were there for family emergancy. However, the location was closeto the hospital we had to be and it was much clean, met standard, and staff were very friendly. We did feel very home away from home when we were back at the room. We will recommand this place to our family and friends. Thanks for making it a comfortable experience.

Overall it was a clean and comfortable place to spend the night. Clarissa, at the front desk, was most friendly and exceeded our expectations on being checked in. Downside was the pools were not working and those were a main reason we selected this hotel on our route.

The staff was very friendly upon checking in. We stayed in a king jacuzzi suite and it was amazing! The pictures do not do it justice on how big the jacuzzi actually is! We were in town for a concert at the Huntington Center, which was only about a 15-20 min drive. The next day we went to the Toledo Zoo, which is about a 10-15 min drive. We had to come to town for a funeral so we were in and out of the hotel and when we came back that night there was no where to park. They allow semis to take up several spots (which there aren't that many to begin with). We ended up parking in front of the liquor store parking lot. So needless to say that it was inconvinent. Well after rudeness from a front desk person named Brenna and apathy from one of the owners Frank and arrogance from other owner Mike wife sent a 2 page letter onto corporate explaining our unhappiness. When you are a priority customer then questioned about it, letting you know if you wanted a second snack (that they perhaps pay as much as 10 cents […] for) your room will be billed $1.00 and then when you complain you get the Oh well attitude. When you confront the owner and he spends 20 minutes telling you all the problems he has had with this employee then spends the next 10 making excuses for her and offering you a bag of chips you know you are not truly a "guest" of this place. Then on check out when some guy standing holding a cell phone talking tells you he wants to talk to you and then says leave your number so he can call you obviously thinks he is so well known that I should know who he is. I told him the fact that I don't have a clue who he is he doesn't need my number. Still on his call he says he is Mike the other Manager then leaves to continue his call which obviously was much more important than my wife was. You make your decision on how you want to be treated when there are many hotels that would cry for good business. We stayed 2 nights for a wedding, and thought the hotel was exactly what we paid for. The service at the front desk was very helpful and accomodating of all the wedding party guests staying there. When I initial pulled in the parking lot I was not impressed, but entering the lobby changed that. Felt like I was transported to another larger more regal city, the room was great, mattress need to be updated, could see the wear in the king size bed, and most of the other hotels I have stayed in are memory foam beds. The room smelled just like cigarettes. I smelled my night gown days later and it still had that horrible smoke stench in it. We cancelled our second days stay.

The location of this hotel is very displeasing! There is a liquer store that shares the same parking lot, not too mention a childcare center connected to that! Wow! The hotel itself is very old looking and definetly outdated, however I will say it was clean and well maintained. Just not a good spot for families to stay.

First thing I noticed when we walked through the front door was a well organized, clean, well accessorized with furniture, lobby. Second was David at the front desk, who welcomed us to the hotel. So I have had alot of hotels to compare to. This Holiday Inn Express was overall the best stay my wife and I can remember in the last ten years we have been traveling. The breakfast was not only a large selection of foods, but it was pretty tasty and there was an attendant who kept in well stocked and cleaned. The swimming pool and hot tub and their surrounding areas were very well kept also.The entire hotel that we saw was also very well kept and clean. The entire experience was very nice and I will be recommending this hotel to anyone staying in the Toledo area. Five minutes from the convention center and most of downtown, but was far enough away that it was a quiet retreat. Thank you Expedia and Holiday Inn Express for a very nice weekend. Had a wonderful time. Friendly workers, clean room, good breakfast - we were late and they still fed us. Pool good, hottub too small. Entrance to H Inn easy to miss. Good restaurants nearby. Would stay there again if I'm on that side of town.

we stayed 1 night and were very happy with the staff and hotel, fresh cookies at the desk ,clean and spacious room and a great breakfast included eggs pancakes cereal fruit muffins biscuits and gravy and more . Definately will stay again. Rooms also were quiet, only heard doors shutting outside.

Do not book this hotel. You'll get a smoking room even if you asked for a non smoking one, plastic plates and forks for junkfood breakfast and you'll most likely have to park next door.

We stayed at this hotel after spending a day at Cedar Point. Although it is a little drive away from Cedar Point, it was definitely worth it. Everything was wonderful and the employees were very accommodating.

About 2 miles from downtown Toledo. Near Tony Packo's restaurant of MASH TV show fame. Easy to downtown. On a main street set back from the street.

The hotel was nice. Everything seemed clean about it. I usually don't like showering at hotels because the washrooms feel dirty or scary but this hotel had a nice washroom so I was comfortable in it. Well, booked the hotel back in January for my stay on a concert road trip. I take chances on finding good hotels without seeing them in person, but google maps and streetview help out a lot. I liked it was out of the city of Toledo so it would not be a long drive from the concert. Quiet hotel, no building hum or road noise in my room at all. Parking could be a bit better, or more specifically, well defined what is or isn't hotel parking. Overall a very nice stay and I would stay there again if I come back into the area. That was why I put the surrounding area at a 4, it was a nice area, but just in a commercial mall/business area. We stayed 3 nights here on our way to other locations. The accomodations were good. The pool was rather small, as was the hot tub, but they were adequate. The pool could have been a little warmer, and the water was cloudy. The free breakfast was good, and a huge bonus for people traveling with children. Nice, no-frills hotel.

OK, but would not go back. Window in the room was open, alarm clock unplugged, pair of dirty socks left in the room from the guest before. No hot water for a shower and very noisy guests next to me.

I really liked my stay at the Holiday Inn Express. It had an excellent staff and continental breakfast. I just didn't like the location. It felt like I was in a shopping center with no real restuarants to go for dinner. The only thing I didn't like.
