Regent Beach Resort - Dubai

The reception staff seemed very confused by our arrival and we started to think they didn't have a room for us but it turned out they did not have a double room for us as we had requested and put us in a twin room which was badly lit, noisy AC, bad smell in the room and a view of some building. After much chasing (and been shown two unsuitable rooms) […] we were eventually moved next day to room 406 which was ok and we were able to unpack. This room had mould on one wall and we had to ask everyday for this to be dealt with and was only cleaned the day before we were to check out. Some of the reception staff were helpful and other staff around the hotel were always polite and seemed quite laid back. Two reps in the hotel always polite and helpful. The breakfast was very mediocre and a bit same everyday although they made omelettes to order. Taxi drivers don't seem to have heard of this hotel and therefore we always encountered difficulties on the return journey to the hotel. Beach is across the road and is clean and very nice but we had to pay 25 dirhams (£5) for one lounger and umbrella. A few shops nearby eg pharmacy and McDonalds. There are two restuarants Ali Baba - we didn't use and it played loud music from about 12 to 3am every day disrupting out sleep. The other restuarant called Indi served excellent indian food and attentive service and small glass of beer cost 35 dirhams but the food was not expensive. The hotel was convenient for Jameirah Beach and the staff were friendly. We arrived at about 9.30am and were able to check in straight away, which was a big bonus after a long night flight. However, the room was described as 'with a balcony furnished with two chairs' - there was no balcony, and when we called down to reception to query this, we were […] told they only had 4 rooms with balconys and none of these were available. It also said 'seperate sitting area' which there was not, and 'sea, city or pool view' which we did not have. Our room overlooked the roof of the hotel to the road, and only at night could we see the lights of the Sheik Ziehd Road. The hotel was nice and in a great location. It was a two minute walk to the public beach and a 5 minute walk to one of the nicest resorts around that had great bars and great food. The only problem is that it cost 50dhs for 24 hours of internet service.

I enjoyed my stay at the hotel even though the room was not exactly what I had planned for and I found the single entry point inconvenient. The staff were always friendly and professional trying to meet my needs and wishes. I would not personally stay at the hotel again due to the size and feeling of confinement but for others that may be fine.

We didn´t get the room we booked. The first night we were transferred to a dirty apartment hotel 15 minutes drive away. The service was bad and the breakfast was of poor quality. The beach was only 3 minutes away and it was nice and quiet and clean except butts in vast numbers.

Ali baba restaurent (almost night clup) is part of this hotel, and there events start after 24:00 untill 4:00. YOU CAN NEVER SLEEP. Bad transport connections. Never change the sheets if you dont ask.

Hade bokat rum med beachview men det fick vi inte. Rummet var dock bra. Liten pool men perfekt temperatur. Nära havet. Tyvärr spelade hotellets restaurang hög musik nattetid:(

Peut être bien pour dormir 2 ou 3 nuits sans être exigeant sur autre chose. Bien que l'accueil soit aimable il reste très froid, le petit déjeuner est copieu mais pas bon et le personnel est bruyant dès 8h30 du matin (portes qui claquent, aspirateur dans couloir, passage chariots...etc). La mer est vraiment en face très belle, propre et agréable.

Petit hôtel sans prétention bien situé si l'on recherche un peu de typique et une plage tout à côté. Le confort est simple. Notre chambre prétendue avec vue sur la mer et piscine se révéla être dans un couloir plein pied avec vue sur le mur en béton, et donc hypersombre. La salle de bain est très vétuste. ÅK ABSOLUT INTE TILL DETTA HOTELL! Urusel service från början till slut! Bemötandet från personalen var fruktansvärd! Vi ville ha hjälp med att boka biljett till Burj Khalifa och fick till svar att "det skulle ni ha gjort för flera dagar sedan via internet". Nu visste jag att det går att få biljetter om man åker dit och betalar där på plats. Den informationen […] fick vi inte från dom - de ville inte ens tala om vilka tider som visningen börjar. Återigen urusel kundservice! Ingen brydde sig inte om gästerna och att det är gästerna som betalar deras löner.
