"Nice environment"

I'd never been to Laughlin before so I thought I'd give it a try since visiting my friend in Lake Havasu fell through. The Nugget was friendly, quiet, and clean enough. The decor and food choices were not really to my liking. The decor was dated and the food choices were not fresh choices. Drinks and gambling above average and parking and accessibility […] were also above average. "What's that smell?"
I have stayed at this hotel many times over a large number of years. To my mind, it is the best hotel in Laughlin. The rooms are comfortable and always spotlessly clean. They have a really nice pool area too, but since Bubba Gump opened a restaurant here, the pool area smells of cooking fat. "convenient to riverwalk"
Overall it was a very good stay. The king size room was clean and free in room coffee and bottled water a nice touch. Would be nice if wifi were free so wecould use ipad to chech the local events. The hotel was very centrally located and on initial appearance very nice. Once we got settled into the romm however, there were stains on the overlying bedding and decorative pillow. Also a hug fresh ketchup stain was spread on the remote control and the room chair. The maids obviously don't pay attention to much detail. The staff was not very friendly […] on the whole. When I made the reservation online I was suppose to get a king size bed and did not get one. Just the two queen size. Was disappointed. The casino was to hot, not enough ventilation. "Learned a lesson"
I have stayed at this hotel previously, and found everything to be a delight, the jaccuzzi was spottless and well maintained, the room perfect. Only the view was terrible - a parking garage greeted my every glance out the window. So, this time, when I was taking my sister and her friend, I specifically called the hotel and asked what the view was for […] the premium courtyard room. We checked in and found all was to our liking. However, when I called about the room, and even at check-in, no mention was made as to the jaccuzzi being out of service. It was one of the features of the hotel that I had raved about to my friends, so imagine the shock, when we were all dressed and ready to go in our swimsuits, to go out and find an empty pool, a couple of hotel employees taking their break out there, and no appology what so ever. BE VERY CAREFUL OF THIS PLACE, obviously they don't believe in disclosing service problems. We would have chosen a different hotel with a functioning jaccuzzi if we had known theirs was in-opperable. "Terrible hotel staff. Don't bother staying here"
Worst customer service I've ever had. Would not waste my time here ever again. Went here for our 10th anniversary. We ere married here 10 years ago so we went back to celebrate. Sorry to say we will not be spending any more anniversaries here. The front desk has got to be some of the rudest people I've ever dealt with. "Very comfortable stay"
This was our first time at the Golden Nugget. We had to wait for the front desk to verify our hotels.com reservation but the front desk staff was very polite. The room was large, clean, and attractive, the beds were very comfortable, and I loved the high quality sheets. We stayed only one night but very much enjoyed it. "Good Hotel lacking the 'customer conveniences'"
Priced higher than the other comparable hotels along the strip. Reason we chose to pay more was for the amenities, however, upon booking and check-in NO mention was made that the pool and spa were under construction. Upon viewing the pool, we went back to the front desk to ask WHY we were not informed, and while FD staff were 'apologetic' they stated […] they were not advised either. No in room coffee unless you pay for it now. No secondary coffee places on site, ie. Starbucks, McDonalds. No casino wins, so we really did pay more than we should have, as the Riverside was half the price, with free in room coffee, free buffet, and bigger winners. Sorry, we'll pass next time. "Enjoyable stay."
We were there three nights, this place is as good as it gets in Laughlin. Dined at Harlow's twice,happy hour at Joe's Crab Shack, coffee at Starbucks and the deli. All of them really good.
