The room was on the large side, but felt very empty. I think it used to be an extended stay place, with space where furniture and appliances used to be. Very little decoration. Tub didn't drain. Bed was old and hard. no anti slip coating in tub. This place needs some work. only cool thing was that they shot the pool scene from Vacation here years ago.

They really, really need to clean and desanitize the refrigerator. I was quite excited that I was able to bring food and refrigerate it, but upon opening the refrigerator door, I was blown away by the horrible stench. It sounds like they have not cleaned the inside in months.

The first night in my FIRST room started ok. It looked clean and was decent for the price. My wife and I were about to give my son, who's 3 months, a bath when she brought up surrounding black mold that is in the bath tub. So we told the front desk and they apologized and moved me to another room. The other room looked the same but had a little patio. […] Went in, settled down then went to get ice. The ice box that was in the room was full of dirty coffee cups and paper and coffee filters. I told the front desk. They apologized. At this point it got annoying. The next day we ordered a fridge, cause the room didn't come with one, and the man walks right on in without knocking. Just opens the door with his key. I was shocked. No other issues the other nights, besides the spider that was crawling on my bed. But the surrounding neighborhood was sketchy it got noisy at times because they rented out the hall. The walls are very thin and you can hear everything going on around you. The train at night can be disturbing. Needs some updating, but was very convienent right off the freeway.

Needed a place to stay while visiting family, Had a room that the TV remote didn't work, sent a maintenance guy to try to get it working. It took so long I asked for another room and was given one without hesitation. Would stay here again. Fun aspect... the movie Vacation was filmed there.

Room was clean , very convinient for me, front desk was very friendly but toilet did not flush at all and they were doing construction really early in the morning and making lots of loud noices and did not lets us sleep well, other thatn that we always have a great experience at Guesthouse Hotel Norwalk

Love this hotel for the atmosphere, landscape, & cleaniness. Nice surprise for the price. Room - nice & spacious, clean carpets, w/fridge & microwave. Overall highly rate - only negative mattress a bit too firm for me. But, that's me. Will always repeat stay whenever in area.

I stayed at this hotel on last week just for one day to visit my family near by. Checking in at the frontdesk was very smooth, and the frontdesk girl was very friendly. The lobby looked so nice and luxury. I went to the room, room was facing front big swimming pool and jacuzzi, I wish it was a summer time so I could go into the water and relax...(Yes! […] They do have nice and big swimming pool area) Back to the room, I really loved it! Clean carpet, Clean bathroom, Nice granite countertop for sink, Bed was compy, and they had 4 pillows on the bed. (I love sleeping in the bed with a lot of pillows.)I was not expecting this nice room for the price that I paid for this hotel. (only $60 per night, I think price was low because it was low season for theM? or maybe I stayed during the week day?) Their T V need to be updated, some rooms are cleaner then others, just miner adjustments and it wil be a hotel to look forward to, not because you will need to stay there but because you want to stay there. But FYI the ones that service you, the front desk the resturant the maid etc. They are the 5 star of the hotel and that why I go back.

This hotel is probably much nicer than the average motel you'd find by the interstate. Nice lobby and pool area (where the famous scene from National Lampoon's Vacation was filmed). Can't beat the rate and was much quieter than I expected judging from the closer proximity to the 5. All in all a good deal.

This is a great hotel for a great price if your just staying for a day or two. Close to the freeway, which you can't really hear at night, as well as close to convenient stores and restaurants, I will most definitely be staying here again.

The Rm was great. My only compliant is that families with small families " SHOULD NOT" Be allowed to get rooms on the second floor. The person who was on the second floor above my room let their kids jump from the bed to the floor over and over. Not Cool. Next time I stay there Im going to make sure the person above me DOES NOT HAVE KIDS..

Front desk staff was very helpful and friendly. A lot of loud groups of guests; laborers smoking out in hall, loud college age students. Bathroom could use some updating, peeling paint, rust in tub, etc. Otherwise adequate for a night or two.
