This hotel is located in a nicer part of town. The way it's spelled in Korean is "Ribera" and some taxi drivers will only know it as "Hotel Ribera" My specific room had weak wifi.

Very good enough to stay for business trip. You can find a better hotel than Hotel Riviera if you pay much more. If not, this hotel will be the best hotel in that area. I was very satisfied for 7 nights. Highly recommand.

Hotel is ok but the bed was very hard until I told them about it and they put nice double comforter and that made it ok

This hotel is simply great value in comparison to other alternatives in Seoul . Its well located for businessmen with local places to eat and entertain and sufficiently 'grand' for meeting business associates. Rooms are well equipped and maintained ,though its not a new place and is not a sparkling palace so to speak . Best extra bits are the Gym spa […] and pool facilities , there are really 5 star in my view . The low points are maybe the restaurants , which at my stay were not well frequented when I was there and at $10 for a filter coffee I am not surprised Hence my advice is : stay here , use the facilities, and eat out Pročitajte više

Hotel Riviera receptionist all speaks English well. It's near Cheongdam Subway Line7 station, which is about 5-10minutes walk exit from the right side from the hotel entrance. Their facilities are great, despite I did not use it, it just look fantastic.

Hotel location was best. Close to subway system which is very important in Seoul. Breakfast did not start until 7.00am. The hotel is OK, it's clean and tidy, and the in room Internet works well which is important when on business. The staff in the bar were slow and left us sitting for long periods.

On the plus side, I found the staff to be friendly, helpful, and conversant in English (not what I expected from the reviews). The hotel's ideally located if you want to get to Gangnam, COEX, and the surrounding shopping districts. Stayed for 2 nights in October of '12, the breakfast buffet is good but pretty expensive, they have free internet on the first floor which is great when you're traveling and ironing out final details and connecting back home. The front desk certainly aren't warm. The nice thing was we arrived in a taxi and a bellman opens the taxi door! It is old style luxury. The Bell staff are nice. Some of the front desk staff are rather rude. The room is very small. The choices of TV stations are limited. I am surprised that CNN, CNBC and BBC are not on the list. There is only one complimentary bottled water instead of two.

I think Hotel Riviera is one of the perfect location hotel for new comers/tourist in Korea. Being in Gangnam Gu which is a very popular high end district in Korea. Overall, the hotel was just as advertised. It was clean, modern and above average scale. The only thing I did not like and others commented was the mattress was way to firm/hard. It was difficult to get a good nights sleep.

I think it's slightly overpriced than what it suppose to be. Hotel is in Gangnam area, but access to the public transportation needs walking. It is an old hotel, and bathroom smelled moldy. All and all, nothing really special for this price. Maybe things are just expensive in Seoul...

The hotel is in a great location close to COEX Mall and the Bongeusa Temple. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Taxi service is available at the front door and it's about a15 minute cab ride to the heart of Seoul.

There was no service. Although I have stayed there over a month during my last visit, my second visit had no recognition. I felt unwelcomed that I have booked through hotels.com or maybe they are always that way.

Unfortunately no CNN and somewhat limited foreign language skill of staff. Not clear that bathrobes provided in the room are not supposed to be used to go to the swimming pool. Bad supply in minibar. Though a smoker myself, I was on a non smoking floor but the neighbours seemed not to abide by that rule, so it smelled badly.

Only one person in front desk was helpful, others were disappointing for a hotel business; cold faces and wrong orientation. Hotel is clean but not worthy for this money. When i need a taxi at check-out time for airport, vale guy called a taxi. Taxi started with expensive opening for taximeter and i asked to vale guy if there is any problem. He said […] me that all type of taxi approximately takes 90000Korean money(WON). I trusted him and started to go with that expensive one but i saw 5 minutes later that it is not like the ones in the city. I have stayed different hotels and I felt this was the best hotel for this price range. It was closed to everywhere, markets, dry cleaning places etc. I felt like home staying here.

+ The airport bus stop is in front of the hotel. + The underground is 3 minutes away from the hotel + Slow but free internet - The hotel itself is quite old with stained carpet, only the TV is new (flat screen). - The room (superior double romm) is VERY small. Don't trust the pictures from their home page.

Not too bad. Very accommodating when I requested a room with a view. The furniture and general upkeep was satisfactory however I think my room was located in the 'old' part of the hotel. Spoke English and always checked to clarify what I was requesting.

It was a such a easy location with nice places to eat, close to everywhere that I needed to go. In addition, I loved the shuttle bus to coex provided by hotel but would have been nicer if they informed return informations as well.

The hotel was pleasant, I was dissapointed with my room. When I booked the description was a superior room with a view of the Han River. In fact I doubt if many rooms do in fact have a river view. I stayed here with my wife before leaving for our honeymoon. The lobby is nice and the staff was cheerful and kind while checking us in. We stayed in a Luxury Double room on the 12th floor. If breakfast is not included, then it's a bit expensive. A few coffee shops nearby, but only a short taxi to all the cool spots in Gangnam-Gu. Room was comfortable, good shower, pleasant service from staff.

Hotel is directly accessible from/to Incheon Airport via Airport bus 6010. Hotel staff are friendly/helpful and able to speak english. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Hotel is near Coex, Apgujeong and Cheongdam-dong. Will definitely stay here again.

A very recommendable place to stay during vacation/business trips. The service is superb as most of Korea is! One downside of this hotel is that there is no Wifi in your hotel room, only in the lobby. Overall, very well kept hotel and don't forget to stop by the Night club in the base level ^^
