Excellent hotel in a very convenient location within the Marina, fab facilities, gorgeous pool and comfortable beds. Would highly recommend. Approx. 20 minutes from the airport.

The only fault of this hotel is no free WiFi in any areas. It is very wrong!!! The hotel of that level must have free Internet everywhere or at least at the common areas like lobby etc.

The hotel is very nice. I do not have a complaint. However, the historic hotels in the area are beautiful. I only saw their lobbies, but, they were very nice. I think this hotel was good for couples and would be great for business travelers.

When I stayed there the hotel was over crowded with weddings n other events. You will receive an annoying bip in yr room on Sunday morning starting 9 am every 30 mins or so .I guess it is a new tactic to wake you up early enough to make sure that you check out before noon. If the beeps are not effective you will receive a phone call from front desk […] asking you if you need a bell captain to carry your lugguage out! I find this unusually disturbing and not fair especially on Sunday morning! Thus if you are looking for a relaxing week end this hotel is definetly not for you. I was most underwelmed with the 10minute wait I had reception upon arriving. Especially as I was told that the 'Oriental Club' guests had priority check-in and the hotel is well known for it's customer service. The bellboy attempted to get assistance for me a number of times but a surly woman on reception told him curtly she needed to do something with […] 'this money' before she could attend to me.... It was a poor start but I did enjoy the Oriental Club's amentities and ambience and our room had a fabulous view of the Singapore ferris wheel and MBS. The hotel's decor is a little tired when you compare it with buildings such as THe Fullerton and The Fullerton Bay hotels. I think I was expecting a comparison in service with hotels in HK; Singaporean staff were nowhere near as helpful or efficient in the hotel setting. Also I had read some previous reviews where staff remembered names, room nos and drink orders in the Oriental Club- the staff were all very pleasant but we had none of the same service. Our visit was a little tainted with the obvious prostitutes we happened to find riding with us in the elevator in the later evening. As they were not guests they didn't have the room key to gain access to any floors other than the public areas and it was especially of concern to see the concierge staff helping them to access the hotels private floors- any person requiring their service should accompany them inside as this did not give us a luxury hotel experience. Nice location in Marina but definitely paying for the view. Staff were inefficient having to use three different computers to try and check us in and then having wrong room key. No Internet or breakfast included which you'd expect for the price.

Initially I had problem as the room was also given to another man a, Japanese hence I was Welcomed in his name!!. From arrival to departure, the service at MO was genuine, personal, friendly and helpful. Room and amenities was excellent. And although I was worried about the location, there is now a MRT station within 5mins walk and Marina Square shopping centre which is connected to Suntec City is next door! Plus Marina Bay Sands is a 10min walk across the harbour. […] There's even a small hawker centre right opposite the hotel :) Would not hesitate to recommend this hotel if you don't want to go to Orchard Rd everyday. Although it's only a SGD10 taxi ride to Orchard Rd and probably a 20-30min MRT ride. Location was great for both business and leisure. Service was excellent. Pool was goregous and relaxing. Food at restaurants was great. The only negative was not having much nightlife outside of the hotel within walking distance. The close proximity to the MRT helped mitigate this though.

Spent a memorable Chinese New Year (4 days) at this hotel with a fabulous view of the harbour and the fireworks. A great hotel except for the food. It was a 3 star experience at best but at 6 star prices. I had 7 meals at this hotel. All of them dissapointing.

I had booked three nights at the Mandarin Oriental in Singapore for a relaxing stopover after working in Australia. The hotel was excellent in all respects, with a well-equipped bedroom and superb facilities. On arrival, the receptionist suggested that I paid a small supplement to upgrade to the Oriental Club level, and this was certainly good value, […] with free internet access, complimentary breakfast, afternoon tea and evening cocktails and hors d'oeuvres in the Oriental Club Lounge. What I particularly appreciated was the 6PM checkout time, as I had a late evening flight to the UK. Even after officially checking out, I was able to make use of the Club Lounge facilities until I needed to go out to the airport. Of the hotel restaurants, I sampled the Cherry Garden, a Cantonese restaurant, and had a delicious and immaculately served meal there. As a single traveller, I particularly appreciated the good selection of wines by the glass. Perhaps the highlight was the view from my room over Marina Bay to the Central Business District - splendid by both night and day. My only niggle is that the hotel is quite a complicated walk from the nearest MRT station, but there was a handy bus stop opposite the hotel with frequent buses to all the main tourist destinations.
