Our 1 night stay in Granada was very dissapointing. The hotel was old, shabby and hard to find. Once we did find it was convenient to the Alhambra but very distant to anything else and since you were in the parking lot you could not leave without encountering further parking fees whic were very high. We were not offered the opportunity to park at the […] hotel. The hotel room was shabby and not very clean because it was so old. We were given a room that looked at the solar panels. It was close to the train station that we arrived about 1.5 miles then it was easy to get to the metro stop and we were able to go all around the city. We had close restaurants by the hotel and even some markets for random needs. Great service and location would totally stay there again!

Hotel has free shuttle bus to the airport. We had the dinner at the hotel restaurant. The food there was ok and felt overpriced.

Right opposite the AlHambra and the absolute perfect location if you have any early morning reservation and have a car you need to park. It is the basis of my rating. If those conditions don't apply find another hotel in downtown Granada- there is a very convenient bus from outside the Cathedral to the Al Hambra.

Generally fine, we only stayed one night but would have loved a swim. the pool was shut at something like 6pm and wasn't going to be opened until 11 the next morning. Accross the street to Alhambra. In fact parked our car @ discounted rate (15 euros) in their parking lot - hotel's parking was full. Was easy to find. We were able to come back to the hotel to rest and go back for the palace visit. The room seemed a litlle worn out. Would stay there again if come back to Granada

I have stayed in this hotel before as it is very convenient for the Alhambra--just over the road. It is accessible by car but there are also buses up & down from the town.

Perfect location for visiting the Alhambra but also with easy access to Granada town centre. The noise in the room from plumbing from other rooms was a nuisance. The room was comfortable but could have been cleaner.

We didn't get the room we had reserved on hotels.com. The reservation said a 260 square-feet room for 2 adults and a child, with view on the gardens. I know the preferences cannot be guaranteed and this time for the first time: they were not. Supposedly because we had made the reservation only an hour before coming... We always do this with hotels.com […] and it's the first time this has happened. Anyway, the staff was a little rude in explaining why we couldnt get the room we wanted and that was a little insulting as well. The hotel doesnt feel like a 4 star at all, not even a 3.... 2.5 barely: cheap finishes, ugly lamps all over the place, no coffee machine in the room, no alarm clock either, felt as if the time had stopped since 1983... only one big towel in the bathroom, the inside of the swimming pool looked shabby and was not maintained: leaves or other unindentified things in the bottom.... Also: very noisy rooms! The only thing good was the closeness to the Alhambra. I enjoyed staying at this hotel, not only because it is across the street to the Alhambra, but also because they have the friendliest staff. Breakfast was included on the reservation and I have to say that it was really good, not only coffee and toast but a full bufette. I would definitely stay at this hotel again.

The hotel is set in a prime location about half a block from the entrance to the Alhambra. The service is better then some 5 start locations, we brought special food which needed to be frozen and heated in an oven. Even though the kitchen was closed we went to the 4th floor BBQ and the chef personally took our food down to the kitchen and warmed it […] up for us. Then we ate on the outside patio bar with a brilliant sky on top of us. The rooms are out of date and could use some maintenance but with 3 start rooms and 5 start service makes up for the 4 star rating. This really is quite a nice hotel. If your intention is to visit The Alhambra, then it is almost perfect. There's a nice pool where you can relax in the afternoon, when it gets too hot for sight seeing. It's a better pool than it looks in the photogrphs. The taxi from the centre will cost around 7or 8 Euros, 10 euros from the Albycin (Must be seen) district. If you don't have your tickets for the Alhamba before you arrive, their offer of tickets is far more expensive than it should be (Around 40 Euros each for a guided tour). Excellent location for seeing the Alhambra as right next door. A reasonable downhill walk to town but a definite bus ride back because of hill and heat! Parking expensive at 15 euros but no alternative. Breakfast fine. A large, very busy hotel, a little noisy at night but overall fine.

Perfect location for the Alhambra and a pretty, shady 20 minute hilly walk to town. Disapointed to have no balcony or patio and there was a lack of outdoor space to sit, just by the pool or a few tables at the front, despite there being other courtyards and a roof terraced which were all closed off. Swapped rooms as the first one had no view at all […] - just into a tiny box courtyard. No problems with swapping. Beds were comfety with good quality linen. Laminate floors ok but skirting peeling away from wall. Enamel damaged in bath and toilet seat had some discolouration, but otherwise a good room. The pool was good and open from 11am - 9pm. Breakfast was included and had a selection of fresh and tinned fruit, including melon and pineapple, cold meats and cheeses, a limited cooked breakfast and pastries and toast, which we were quite happy with. Catering staff were quietly efficient. We chose to eat out in nearby bars or in the main town as there was more atmosphere, but you can have lunch and evening meal. A buffet costs 14 euros. Overall we would recommend the hotel, although we had some problems finding it by car as the Alhambra is not well signposted. Parking is 14 euros per day and seemed quite safe. Pročitajte više

Whilst the hotel itself is o.k. it is in desperate need of a major refurbishment. The walls are very thin, you can hear every single word or someone taking a shower. The room was o.k. but did not give you the feel of being home.

This hotel is easy to get to - just follow the signage to the Alambra. The Consierge spoke English and was very helpful. We did not eat at the on-site restaurant, but did have our morning cafe and toast at the bar. Good location. Basic hotel with a basic slightly dated room. Room had a brick wall for a view, otherwise was clean and good enough for a short stay. Breakfast was nice and always worth it. No parking in hotel so had to pay discounted 14 euro a day across the road. Pound to euro exchange rate was a joke. They were offering 1 euro for 1 pound.

This hotel is right across the street from the Alumbra. There is also a nice walking path down into the center of the city. The location was great. And the breakfast included was very good. I would recommend this hotel and stay there again when I get back to Granada.

Hotel Alixares scores massively on ease of location after a tiring day - follow signs to the Alhambra and just miss the car park and you are at the hotal. accomodation very competent - Reasonably priced. Staff friendly and helpful. Downside - very expensive parking but possibly typical for the area. Would not recommend breakfast or evening meal.

Location is close to the Alhambra. This means that there is a 15 minute downhill walk to Granada downtown (uphill back of course). Staff speaks english well. Parking on the Alhambra parking with a small discount. Beds a bit more comfortable than usual for spanish hotels.

To all who wish to visit El Alhambra, this hotel is across the ticket office entrence. Very handy for the morning visit and back at your hotel if you want to dress differently for the evening visit [depending of time of year]. The bus station is about 150 metres from the hotel. it takes you downtown through narrow streets to the city center, the cathedral, […] bars and restaurant Or up to the Sacremonte area and the Albysin where you can enjoy the full view of the Alhambra. Last bus to return depart at 23.00 from the town or catch a taxi for just a few euros. Hotel food is average. Had dinner on my first night. Ok but nothing exiting and to continental to my liking. Good buffet breakfast with hot and cold dishes. All staff very friendly and hepful. Do expect a busy and noisy morning wake up. Tourist getting ready for excursions, tours and visiting the area. By being situated near the entrance of the Palace, the traffic can be heavy at a time. But if you go to such a fantastic city to stay laying in your bed, find yourself a DVD on Granada and stay at home. Just at the back of the hotel, turn right when your exit the main entrance, walk a few metres and you will find some steps going up and through a field of olive trees.There you will have a stunning view of Granada, the Alhambra, the snow peaks of the Sierra Nevada.
