Best Western Hotel President - Berlin

I was on the 8th floor. It was noisy from the hot water radiators and drain pipes from the roof. Constant running water! Otherwise, a very good hotel to stay.

Good accommodation and breakfast buffet. Fitness center appeared to be geared towards men, not women. Pleasant staff.

Good, clean room however the Internet is extremely slow. Breakfast is a must..the buffet was fantastic and well worth the price. Fitness center is in need of a serious update, but the steam room and sauna (small) were nice.

The lobby smell tabacco all the time. The bathroom need some updating, the heater did not work very well. The bed need new mattress. The rroom was very spacious and the hotel is very good located..

Overall, the hotel's furniture and carpeting was very dated, but it was clean and priced right. Good location and near a metro stop. Staff was friendly.

One of the best I have stayed at. The only thing I didn't like is so was away from everything I wanted to see, however the bus stop and train station were right there

The hotel was lovely, the staff were attentive and the concierge was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Also the barman in the smoking lounge was very welcome and friendly and made great conversation about Berlin which I found insightful and indispensable for my stay.

We had a few short stays at various cities before we made it to Berlin via overnight train. We got there quite early and requested to see if we could check in a bit early. Within 2.5 hours, they were able to set something up for us, and provided us with a free upgrade. The room was very comfortable, just what we needed! We had breakfast there one of […] the mornings, and it is quite a bit more elaborate than some of the other places we have seen and is quite satisfying. The location is far away from the main attractions, but the S-line was less than 5 minutes walk away. If you are on a time constraint like we were, I would not recommend it only because of the location (and during holidays season). But a great hotel and would highly recommend it otherwise. The curtains were very thin in the standard rooms and let in to much light. We paid to be upgraded to presidential club room with thicker curtains and a more modern feel. The staff were very helpful over directions and places to see. Well located for Christmas markets, Berlin’s Harrods (Ka De We) and the U bahn network.

The room was quite small and crowded, which was not like the picture supplied on Hotels.com web site. The staff was okay but it seemed like you were asking a lot when you needed some help with a problem or required information. I don't think this would be my first selection for a repeat stay in Berlin.

I really like this hotel not because of it's location but because of hotel service and a nice place to relax. Must of the time I had to take a taxi because the sightseeing were not walking distance from the hotel. But the hotel is a nice place to relax and sleep well.

Stayed a week for a conference prepaid. Dated furnishings, strong smell of air freshener in carpet in room but bathroom smelled like it hadn't been properly scrubbed in a while. Refrigerator broken, complaint did not resolve. No safe in room. Window can open but there's an odd neon glow from the exterior lighting in the evening. Free wifi but spotty […] service during peak hours. Printer didn't work for boarding passes. Breakfast and restaurant staff were good. That said, some of my colleagues had functional ameneties. The hotel was nice, location great (not to close from turistic atractions but near shopping area and hop on-hop off bus and Ubahn Station). Not breakfast included. Free wifi worked ok. Nice bar also... no complaints.

Hotel location is very well situated, easy access to all transports including the sight seeing tour buses, lots of shops, including the big department store KaDeWe, plenty restaurants nearby too. Staff in the hotel were very friendly and room was comfortable & kept very clean.

Would have like to know that facade of hotel was being renewed. German workmen start at 7:00 which meant an early rise as scaffolding meant they were outside our room window, which was on the 7th floor about 07:05.

Decent hotel in the west side close to a large underground/u Bahn station. The rooms and bathrooms were a decent size, comfortable though a bit old. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. One bartender made the best mojitos I've ever tasted!

Overall, very good. Although our last morning there, we were woken by extremely loud construction work being done to the building, at 8:00. The work continued for 2 hours.

Good Hotel, Great location. Breakfast was decently priced. Enjoyed drinks out on the patio out in front of the hotel despite the current renovation being done. We had no complaints and would stay there again.

Great, affordable accommodations for tourists. It's around the street corner from a bus line (#100) that runs to the city center and all the tourist attractions there.

The hotel has a perfect location, but it was under remodelation and we didn't know it and it doesn't apper on expedia page. A lot of workers around and the elevator always busy. The 4 stars rating does not match my criteria!!!! I will really apreciate more info or have it updated!!!

The hotel is undergoing major external work and the builders started at 7.45am each weekday morning (and Saturday). We were not advised of this at the time of booking and were robbed of much needed sleep as a result.

Reception was great in finding a room that suited my needs. And staff was very helpful with little details about my finding venues and stores in Berlin. Wish the Best Westerns in the states were as good as the two I've stay in in So Africa, and Berlin.

I was happy to stay here. It is centrally located in Berlin. It was very quiet and clean. The bed was great. I have absolutely no complaints. I recommend the hotel.

Located in major commercial district with shops, restautrants and a super market within a few blocks. Room was fine for the level of hotel, clean. About a 15-minute walk to a train station that is three stops from Berlin's main train station. Staff helpful, pleasant. However, even after four requests over three days, the front desk staff could not tell […] us the per-minute charge to phone the U.S. from our room -- other than to says it is "expensive." They said they didn't know and the phone company wouldn't tell. They declined my offer that I call the U.S. for two minutes to see what the cost is, and the hotel forgive the charges in exchange for gaining that knowledge. However, the desk staff did know the price of our room and daily breakfast, among other things. In Warsaw a few days later, our hotel had a list of the per-minute phone charges by country. Why can the Poles do this yet the Germans (similar experience in Dresden) can't? But overall, we'd stay at this Berlin hotel again. Pročitajte više

Just arrived from from a weekend trip to Berlin. My 2nd time at this hotel. Chocking how much standard can go down with a year. Noise woke me up Saturday early. During house cleaning, no shampoo were added, no coffe was added. Sunday noise woke me up 6.00 6.20 and 7.00 am, Italians were playing with their kids. I complained to reception, but nothing […] happend. Sunday morning was just one big noise wall from next room. Excellent location and great value; 2 minutes from 100 bus and 4 minutes to Ubahn station. Large high end Dep't store (KaDeWe ) also very close. Staff friendly, spoke English well, good transportation advice, free internet access.
