"Cute little hotel in best little seaside town"
Hotel is perfectly adequate for the price decorated in a nice Spanish style with a very nice courtyard. Our room was small but clean and with the standard amenities closet, small fridge, newer flat screen TV. Bed was big and very comfortable. Bathroom was clean but had not been updated in a long time. Only problem with service was the terse waitress […] in the hotel cafe where we ordered dessert and drinks which were fine. She was pretty cold and unfriendly. We didn't do anything to plug the toilet, but it backed up on the last day we were there. So, it can happen. Oxygenator shower nozzle is kind of neat. Microwave on the 3rd floor by ice machine. Nice flat screen TV--incl. HBO. If they don't tell you the internet code, it is in the hotel binder in the desk. Annoying thing is late at night, if they are […] busy and only one person at the desk, if you call, they ask you to hold, but leave you hanging for 30 mins or more--who knows. "You get what you pay for"
Stayed at this hotel for two nights while we were vacationing in Santa Barbara. We decided to save a little money and stay at this Best Western but you certainly get what you pay for. The pro's of this hotel are the price and location as it is close to the freeway and only 15min from SB. The cons would be the size of the room and the paper thin walls. […] Like other reviewers, we were located on the first floor and could hear every conversation in our neighbor's room and in the parking lot. The noise from the floor above us was also deafening. When the room above us would shower the water sounded like a jet stream and when they were just walking around it sounded like an earthquake. I'd probably look elsewhere if we were to visit SB again. The outside of the building and the inner courtyard were lovely. Our room smelled a bit moldy and was on the small side. I felt that the price was a bit steep for what we got. Staff was friendly. Unfortunatly they had sold our pre booked room before we go there, so they expected us to stay in one double bed, for 5 of us my husband, myself and our 3 children. they then tried to charge us $15 PER CAMP BED THAT COULD NOT EVEN FIT IN THE ROOM.
