Best Western of Birch Run/Frankenmuth - Birch Run

Staff were super friendly and room was ok - seemed clean, but a bit worn around the edges. We really enjoyed the waffles at breakfast. We slept ok, but it was a bit noisy. The walls between our room and the next seemed thin - we could hear our neighbor's conversation, and it didn't seem like they were being particularly loud. Thankfully they seemed […] to go to sleep about the same time we did, but if not, I think that would have really kept us up. It was also noisy outside from the hotel courtyard and what must be some kind of dirt bike or 4x4 track nearby - lots of engines revving on a Friday night until 11:30pm or so. I really liked the hotel. The beds were very hard but the pillows made up for it. The breakfast was very small. Not the best food but the staff were wonderful.

Love the upgraded suite that we got. it had a cute heart shape jacuzzi. It was really clean only down part was the bathroom being older compared to the rest of the room but other wise it was great. Close to outlet and franknmeuth :)

the hotel stay was fine...nothing special...the rooms were just standard. Very few amenities...basically 1 small bar of soap and 1 small container of shampoo. It was fine for a 1 night stopover. My wife and I travel to Birch Run- Frankenmuth about once a year for golf shopping and wining and dining. We had an interior room that was comfortable but a bit cramped. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The entire hotel was clean and tidy, the breakfast was quite good, again friendly staff. Room was well equipped and modern. Loved the waffles with sprinkles and chocolate chips! The room was clean, but there were no comforters or blankets on the beds - just sheets. Also the toilets took five times to flush. At least the room was cheap....

The staff was very nice and helpful especially Stephanie. We were late for breakfast and everything was shutdown and she still provided breakfast for us. We will defiantly stay here again.

Pool had A LOT of Chlorine, my kids complained about it, not fun. Pool hours are not convenient when you have little kids. They open at 10am, really? My kids wanted to jump into the pool by 7am Free breakfast consist only on waffles, coffee and juice. No fruit or cereal :( Overall a good hotel close to Frankenmuth and Outlets.

Older motel/hotel. Certainly not the worst place we've stayed, but far from the best. If it were to be updated, it would make a decision to stay again easier. As it is now, I would check other options before booking at this location again.

Great location. The restaurant was an added bonus. The food and service was excellent. It was nice to be able to arrive, check in, and not have to look for some place to have a late dinner.

The room was suppose to have a microwave and refridge it didn't have either one. The bed was hard and uncomfortable. Breakfast was cold biscuit ,eggs and sausage, and they were out of coffee. I will not stay at this hotel again.

Hotel was nice,clean and the workers very friendly. I found our room small and had a hard time finding a spot for our daughters playpen. The food wasnt bad.Its great for one night wouldnt stay there longer.

Kids enjoyed the pool and we enjoyed the hot tub. Breakfast was great.. better choice then most continental breakfasts. Very close to freeway and Birch Run Outlet Mall. Enjoyed a ride threw Frankenmuth on our way home.

Got to hotel room was not clean at 5pm and pool was closed and did not have heated water for 2 days...I talked to manager Jessica by phone she was not concerned with this and told me that I could go to another hotel if I was not happy....Unbelievable!

Housekeeping could have been better. There were 4 beer cans behind the night stand.The door to our room was opened when we went to the room.The pool had too much chlorine, you could hardly breathe it was so stuffy.

I was extremely disappointed with the level of service at this hotel. They were unorganized when I checked and at first checked me into a room that was scheduled for a "Deep Clean". Their "High Speed Internet" was anything but. I couldn't hold an internet signal in my room to save my life. The front desk clerk was nice but only at the front desk half […] the time. When they coded my keys at check in they only did it for one night, I was staying 4. So every evening I had to go to the front desk to have them re-code my keys because the night-shift clerk didn't know how to do it for more than one day at a time. She said if I came back during the day, the day-shift clerk would know how to do it for more than one day. I'm sorry, but I work during the day and do not have time to get my keys re-coded by someone who knows how to do their job. The perfect place to unwind from everyday life. The rooms were very clean. Even housekeeping left us a thank you note. The pool and hot tub area are as clean as if they were new and never used. We loved the room, very clean and comfortable and the rest of the hotel looked great. Front desk was helpful. However, the arcade games stole like 3 dollars from us, and half of the games didn't work. They also closed the bar and kitchen this night (Feb 13, 2013) at 830 when the schedule said both were open until 11. We had a hard time finding somewhere […] to eat at 9pm in the area, since it was out of everyone's delivery range or they were closed. Had to end up with fast food for dinner, which was frustrating, and they lost out on money we would have spent ordering food at the hotel. We were on a tight budget and had to book an "exterior" room in this hotel since it was cheaper. When I was reading the reviews, I came across the sentence, "This is a motel and not a hotel." several times and thought they were talking about the quality of the hotel.This hotel has two sections. An older part which used to be a motel (exterior) and a […] new-er part where the lobby, the swimming pool and restaurant are located. With two little children we had to walk in the snow to get to the lobby to go to the pool and go back to our room in the freezing weather. We talked to the manager and were told that they couldn't do anything since we had booked our room through Expedia. We called Expedia and they did nothing either. Would I go there again? We used this hotel booking through Expedia.ca for a shopping weekend for a family of four. Even though we booked and paid for four, they only has three towels in the room. They corrected this quickly once we asked for additional towels however as the next day when the room was made up, it went back down to three towels. I could not walk into the bathroom without turning sideways as my shoulders are too wide for the frame. There is very little room to dry off after using the shower.
