When I booked the Hotel I thought I was getting into some thing nice. When we got there the Lobby was Ok. but when we had to drive down a narrow ally to park the Chevy Avalanche we own I thought wow. Then we realized to get out you had to back up the ally!! no place to turn around at. well then we got to the room and thinking I paying $246.00 a night […] PLUS all the tax and room fees, the room should be pretty nice. WELL!! WRONG it was small and dusty the air conditioner was not working that well. The bathroom was very small, with no vent. If you wanted to vent the bathroom you had to open the window after moving all you your toiletries because there was no shelves or drawers to put things. But what topped things off was when I was putting things away I found the safe in the very Large Closet ( it was bigger then the bathroom) but there was no key. Called to the front desk and asked about the key and I was told I needed to put down a $35.00 deposit and then the hotel charges $2.25 a day for the use of the safe. Well When I am spending $275.00 a night I would think that the safe would be included. I have been in a lot of hotels and have never been charged to use the safe!!!!! NO BREAKFAST at this hotel they gave us a 10% off coupon to go down to there "sister hotel" to have breakfast. Needless to say we had booked for 4 night and only stayed one night. Pročitajte više

The staff was wonderful across the board. The room had an odor - difficult to pinpoint, perhaps old paint. The door to the room was difficult to close, probably due to the ocean humidity. One day the door had been left open by the cleaning staff - not intentionally; however...The main pool could have been cleaner.

The place was just ok the rooms were clean but needed to be updated. The staff was nice but the bar prices are very expensive like your staying at the ritz Carlton for drinks. The people are much older if your young pass.

The hotel was great fun and the beach and entertainment was wonderful. The bad part is almost all the room have two double beds so it was hard to sleep together. They said they only had two king size rooms and they were not available. So it was great except for sleeping.

It was a lovely location, although the rooms were a bit dated. We really liked the kitchen and the grounds were very nice. This is a really nice motel right on the beach. It is named as a resort , that is a bit of a stretch. While we enjoyed our stay , it is not a place geared towards children. While it has all the amenities resturants, bar, music, […] 2 pools and right on the beach...certainly more geared toward the adult crowd. The restaurant has live entertainment all day, most days and late into the night...the restaurant/bar is very hoppin and always busy, and really the crowd is not suited to children ( 9 & 14)...the music is fine but really a hard drinking bar scene so , your best to try and find something else for kids. Menu typically bar fare and not a lot of variety...although the food was good. I rarely write about hotels I've stayed at, but the level of customer service (Debbie in particular at the front desk) offered us a degree of warmth and hospitality I have rarely experienced elsewhere. Every one of the staff was very friendly and serviceable, but she really went the extra mile. I had called a few days before asking for an early check-in […] (it's 4 PM, I asked for 2) and we got there around 12:30 PM - yet they accommodated us right away. We were placed in a room facing the beach and Jimmy B's Beach Bar, which has bands playing loud music well into the night. They told us right away that if it bothered us, they'd take care of things the next day. Which they did, pronto. We were told to pack our stuff, go off and enjoy the day, and they'd move it and call me when in the new room. In fact, it was ready before we even left. We had a wonderful room and were very happy. So - if you book and are not night owls, ask for a room closer to the hotel lobby, preferably near the fountain. Everything worked well in the rooms, beds were clean, very comfortable, good towels, flat-screen TV with HBO...in short, a very nice room. Curtains darkened the room effectively at night. Both a larger and smaller heated pool were really appreciated in January! This is a wonderfully relaxing place, good for getting some R & R at the beach. Very friendly and helpful staff, but the parking situation is terrible. Very small spaces...only a Fiat sized car can fit with ease, and you have to back all the way out...there is no turnaround. Jimmy B's bar is the best part of the stay.

Hotel is at least 50+ years old but does not show its age except in the rooms. Pools, lobby, resturant, lounge, beach, all absolutely outstanding. Loud music from the outdoor beach bar on the hotel property bar until 1 am, promised "beach view", but was put on the ground floor looking into a dumpy patio with old plastic tumbled beach chairs; bushes blocking any view of the water. walls so paper thin I could hear the neighbor word for word "talking". carpet felt like it wasn't cleaned in ages. […] Staff however was warm, sweet and helpful but the hotel itself was a dirty and outdated "motel". I LOVE LIVE MUSIC!!! BUT... there is music from the beach bar from this hotel and the next door hotel and if your room is in the wrong place, you're going to hear them both. I was only there 2 days to visit my daughter at college. However, Beachcomber was much, much better then the Sirata which I have also stayed at. All of the rooms open up to Atrium type area which was very well manicured with a fountain and swimming pools. Checking in I received great hospitality from the agents who were more than willing to enjoy a […] conversation when they were not to busy. The swimming areas were all very nice but unfortunately no hot tub. At the very west end of the hotel was an outdoor bar and restaurant area that was very enjoyable to sit at. Each of my two days I was there they had live music which was extremely entertaining. I was able to sit back, listen to live music by request, have a relaxing drink and smoke my cigar, as required, away from guests eating food. All though I needed to ask for a server because I was standing, once I had one they more than hospitable and seemed to enjoy your business. Also, a very beatiful view of the golf from here with a boardwalk directing you out to the beaches. The room was comfortable but somewhat musty. However, these rooms were much better than Sirata as I had a separate room kitchen where I could have cooked everyone of my meals if I had been with all of my family. A walk in closet and a bathroom that was not obstructed by another door as it was at the Sirata. Very typical of a lot of properties in this area. Great location next to the beach. We stayed in a room on the ground floor towards the main reception area and it was a quiet area most of the time. The rooms are dated and the bathrooms very small but comfortable enough. Only spent two nights at The Beachcomber but had a great time. We don't spend a lot of time in the room so didn't want to spend a lot of money. For the price we paid we could not have asked for more. This was the best vacation ever! I loved this place, the view from our beachside room was breathtaking to say the least. I'm the kind of person that is only going to be sleeping and showering in my room so I don't need to spend a lot of money on a expensive room I will not be in much. If you are expecting a very new beachside suite don't bother staying […] here. This is more like a Clean Standard room with a microwave and a small fridge with an awesome tiki bar called Jimmy B's, a view thats to die for and a beautiful white sandy beach with great live music by Jimmy B's from 3pm - 3am. The bartenders are the best! The food is great and the other customers were friends by the end of the trip! I would stay here again for sure!! Also for a great more fancy lunch go to the sister hotel Grad Plaza just a nice walk down to the beach called Spinners. The top of the hotel spins very slowly while you eat so you can see a beautiful sunset or during the day you see the bayside and the ocean side 2 people with an appitizer cost $35, great food! My 6th time back at the Beachcomber and it just keeps getting better. This time I took my friend and we had an awesome time. Rented a beach cabana for $18 a day to excape the wonderful Florida sunshine. Walked across the street to a convenience store and stocked our fridge with snacks and drinks and we were set. The food at the beach bar was awesome […] and not too pricey. The evenings were the best, Jimmy B's Beach Bar is definately a hot spot!!! Lots of locals as well as visitors.
