Friendly/attentive staff, convenient location, very clean and well-kept rooms

I recommend this hotel, good breakfast in a small kitchen...

So awesome! I had a really great experience at Super 8 Hotel. It was very clean i was so surprise how big and roomy the room was. The front desk service was very good and I could see the Hollywood Sign from my hotel room so cool. I was mad i only stay one night good job if I'm ever in that area again going there.

Great location if you're going to the Music Center. I was a little apprehensive about the area but it was quiet and comfortable.

The room was clean and the staff were friendly but the surrounding neighborhood was a little scary. Definitely stayed in once it was dark.

Walkable to shows at Echoplex and The Echo. The place had great security for parking and in the lobby. The staff at the front desk was nice and helpful. Other than that it was aweful. My room smelled horrible, it was dark and not very clean. I could not get Verizon wireless service in my room so my cell phone was useless. I asked to change rooms but […] they were all booked up. I love the Echo Park / Silverlake area and had big Friday plans. Unfortunately, the room I was given felt like I was sleeping next to a construction site. When we arrived, I was greeted by a nice attendant - who didn't acknowledge me until she was off the phone. That wasn't a big deal, but... The room they gave me and my companion was located DIRECTLY […] NEXT TO HOUSEKEEPING. I didn't think much of it, as there wasn't much going on Friday afternoon. But after a late night, it would have been nice to actually have a quiet morning. By 8am Saturday, the room next door was bustling like they were doing remodeling. --- "Boom" "Crash" "Boom" "Thump" with what sounded like a vacuum running at 11! Then there were the loud voices giving orders. To top it all off, you can hear every step on the walkway above. More thumps and running. By the time I had finally checked out I was still tired. If you are traveling to L.A. for a Dodgers game, stay here. Skip the parking lot costs and crowds. My wife and I checked in early with no hassle or extra cost, and then we walked to a Dodger day game. We had a great view of Sunset Blvd. The room was clean, and the bed was comfy enough. I was impressed with the cleanliness of this location, the parking lot. Nice lobby with a Continental breakfast. Only a 10 minute walk to Dodgers Stadium. The only negative part would be is that the TV's in the rooms were not new digital flat screens like the one in the lobby. It was a very nice room with a king bed and beautiful decor.

When upon arriving the hotel looked good but the surrounding area was bad looking. The people that were running the hotel were kind. The breakfast could have been better with a lil more variety in the breakfast items. But all in all it was something that i need in a pinch so can't really complain that much. My mother and I stayed here for one night during a last-minute trip to checkout Hollywood. All in all my mother and I had a decent stay and would recommend it to anyone wanting to save some money and remain pretty close to Hollywood, etc. But, don't expect any frills. Our view was awful (another building a few feet away with barbed-wire windows), but […] we weren't in our hotel for extended periods of time so that didn't matter much. The location was pretty "eh," but we were within 15 minutes (minus traffic) of Hollywood and about 25 minutes to Beverly Hills. There were a few questionable characters staying a few doors down, but we didn't have any problems. Even though we stayed in a non-smoking room, we had to walk past the smoking rooms to get to our room and could still smell smoke with our doors closed. Our room was clean, but since opening the curtains didn't bring in any sunglight, the room was pretty dark even with all the lamps on. Decent channels on the tube, and the free wifi was nice. The staff were friendly and the lobby area was pretty nice. Check-in and check-out were a breeze. The parking lot seemed like an after-thought since the entry and exit lane (the same lane) was extremely snug, and there were only about 20 spots total. But it's free, so hey. Each room is alloted only one space, but there wasn't any way to monitor this so I'm sure you could sneak in another car if need-be. The free breakfast in the morning only consisted of cold foods, and a toaster to warm the bagels, which was surprising since I have stayed at other Super 8's that had hot foods like scrambled eggs, bacon, a waffle maker, etc. I came down with only 15 minutes left of breakfast time (630am-930am) so it's possible that I missed the good stuff, but it didn't smell like I did. Just a few streets away, hotels were going from $150-$300/night at chains like the Sheraton, Ramada, etc. But what a difference a street makes. Very confortable and near to downtown attractions-

I was very comfortable, the rooms were huge and clean, and I can't mention enough woderful things about the superb staff. They bent over backwards to make my stay as enjoyable as possible.Excellent hotel.

Great breakfast and nice lobby. The surroundings are a bit bleak with facing apartment buildings covered in barbed wire and grafitti. The rooms are nice, however and we always enjoy staying here!

Easy access from Hollywood Freeway (US 101) and very convenient walking distance to Dodgers Stadium (5 minutes) which avoids the expensive stadium parking fees and traffic jams. A "must stay" for Major League Baseball fans.

This hotel is great if you are going to Dodger Stadium. It is so close that you can walk there. As long as you don't need a 5-star resort, the convenience of the hotel's location makes it the perfect hotel. The rooms are fine. The complimentary parking and breakfast are nice amenities.

only stayed 1 night as it was close to dodger studium, only 5 mins walk, perfect place to stay if catching a game, receptinw as great and let us check in early so we could get to the game in time.

I was traveling to LA for a convention and thought this would be a good, cheaper alternative to a hotel right in downtown. I arrived late at night at there were a lot of scary groups hanging around. Everyone was friendly and helpful, room was good size and clean, beds comfortable but what ever it is they use to deodorize (I think the carpet) is so over powering you can hardly breathe. It actually kept me awake until it calmed down some.

This hotel was less than a mile from Dodgers Stadium, that is the only reason we stayed there. Other than that, it is in a really bad side of town. But all in all, we had a good stay.

The linen was old and used. The carpet needs a good cleaning. The parking was not good.

If you're going to catch a Dodger game or two, this is the perfect location. No pool for kids, but FREE PARKING. Also it is a very short walk over the hill to Dodger Stadium!!

Basic hotel, but great for out of town folks going to dodgers stadium. The hotel is within a half mile of the stadium. The walk is very simple.

This hotel was in excellent distance from Dodger stadium. We were able to walk from the hotel in just a few minutes and beat the traffic and cost for parking.
