Hilton Garden Inn Bristol City Centre - Bristol

Booked this hotel thru Hotels.com as a base for a weekend in Bristol. This hotel has great position for city center with just a 10 min walk into the heart of Bristol. The weekend special was a great deal with breakfast & parking included. Would certainly book again.

Hotel and staff were great, a Hilton but smaller with all the extras and more. I liked the free wi fi and the iMac come television. Bristol's night life is within easy walking distance. There's a Wetherspoons across the main road just past Brunell's statue. The only slightly annoying thing was the price of things like a 4 finger Kit Kat, £1 and a pint […] of Boddintons £4.50. Definitely a budget hotel. Dissappointingly basic. Requested room with opening window due to medical condition. Window opened about 2cms. no use at all. Lot of traffic noise. Staff helpful but we will never stay there again.

stayed here few times now instead of novotel where i used to stay , my only comment is there is never enough staff at evening meal times, slow service. food excellent

The hotel was excellently located close to temple meads and a short walk Cabot circus. Everything was very clean. Staff helpful and the breakfast was brilliant. Waffles amazing! Would definitely stay again.

Me and a friend were here last weekend. We drove to the hotel which was really easy to find and wasn't that far away from the motorway. There was a lot of good shopping areas near by and was easy to walk to a lot of places. My first and only complaint was that there wasn't enough parking spaces. Parking was in a great location but just not enough. […] We had to park behind the hotel in a council car park which was ok and a total of £8 for our one day visit but at 8:00am you have to go out to put a new ticket on your car. So no lie in if you want one. The hotel was in really good condition and appeared very new. The room was really nice and spacious (we stayed in the Queen Elevation Room) the bathroom was a good size and the shower was lovely and powerful. Beds were also very comfy. They're is a I Mac computer in the room which had basic tv channels but just what you need. Our breakfast which was included was lovely, there was a good choice and also food to order available. Conveniently situated to town centre and bus stop right outside the hotel. Lovely hotel, rooms overlooking the park are quiet. Well appointed room, very clean. The only down side was that the Vegetarian Choice on the menu was very limited. We did however, find an Italian restaurant just the other side of the Park, so ate there 2 days running.

We have stayed three times in the past month. The only issues are breakfast is very overcrowded. The a la carte menu is overpriced and very basic. The car park, which is great to have in a city centre hotel, is marred by guests parking on the yellow blocked no parking areas which could be a hazard in a emergency.

The hotel is conveniently located near temple Meads station. The room was clean and nicely furnished with all mod cons (including an iMac with TV and radio built in). The bathroom was a little cramped but perfectly functional. Breakfast was great, made all the more entertaining by the addition of a waffle maker. Great fun!

I booked a few rooms for friends which came with breakfast and overall price was great value given quality of rooms which all had apple computers. Bathroom is a bit small but adequate.

Comfortable room and good breakfast. iMac being used as TV in the room made operating the TV a bit challenging but that's probably cos we didn't read the instructions! Easy to walk into city centre. Would recommend this hotel as good value and would consider staying again next time we are doing something in the Bristol area. If you can get a good deal and perhaps you need a hotel near the Rail Station or easy access to the Airport, then this hotel is very good indeed.

Very comfortable hotel with friendly service. We asked for a quiet room on a high floor and we got it! Breakfast was particularly pleasant with the waitress being most concerned that I got my tea exactly as requested. Only small complaint - was rather hot.

We found the hotel and especially staff really friendly and helpful. Wonderful breakfast and evening snacks which as a warning are very generous! Superb stay in brilliant location to travel to Cardiff to the rugby. Will definitely stay again next year.

The hotel is very modern and clean. This was our 2nd visit and we would be happy to stay again. Only problem we had was the air con wasn't working so in the night we were so hot we had to open the window but then we were disturbed by the traffic noise. apple iMac's in every room is great along with free wifi which you hardly see in hotels.

Very clean and cozy. The Pantry with a microwave comes in very handy, and I could keep in touch with my friends and family via Skype on the Apple tv. A great walk in shower and amenities included shampoo, conditioner and moisutrizing cream, tea and coffee. Slept really well!! Thanks

Nice hotel for the price we got (promotion) in central location, close to offices. Clean comfortable room, breakfast nice but quite crowded. Free internet was working fine which is a nice touch to our stay.

Stayed for two nights over New Year. Only criticism is that you sometimes had to wait for the hot breakfast buffet to be topped up. However staff were extremely courteous and couldn't do enough to assist.

Not quite up to the usual Hilton branding but I understand that they have acquired the hotel( it previously being a Mint hotel) so it has come with many of the trappings of the former hotel. Rooms are a little bland but with a few more pictures and maybe some toned down colours would help. Totally functionable for a short stay with a large sized room,nice […] shower and bathroom extras.Would have liked a bigger tv in the room but that's just me! Breakfast offers a good choice and is well prepared. Staff are very attentive to customers needs and keen to make your experience a good one. The location of the hotel is fine for a short stay and it is only a ten minute stroll into the shops. However it does seems to be a bit lonely when returning after dark. Overall a pleasant stay once again in Bristol. Footnote. We did have one hiccup on checkout when the hotel queried our" breakfast included" package.They had no record of it and while we did not mind checking our email booking confirmation from Expedia we did feel we were having to prove that it was actually included in the price. We did feel that reception were a bit over zealous in their efforts to prove us wrong and with no apology to boot when we produced the necessary email! Sorry would have been fine! Footnote 2 If you enjoy Italian food try Marco's Olive Branch restaurant. When we first arrived we were informed that there were no rooms available and were asked to take a seat in the lobby reception. I found this odd as I had booked our room for 3 nights over a week ago........ Eventually a room was found so off we went to the 4th floor to our queen room. Bit disappointed as the bed was not a queen size, it also did not […] include the bathrobes which were advertised. After contacting the manager who spent considerable time assuring us the bed WAS queen size it just looked small because of the frame?? We decided to agree to differ. He did send a maid up with our robes though. The bed itself was so hard I had a very sore back in the morning. We then used the hotels "fitness suite" which is a bit of a stretch for a few cardio machines and some basic weights set in a back room. Bit disappointing really. The breakfast however was top notch, the extras you could have such as salmon and scrambled eggs, waffles and kippers were a welcome change and the staff could not help you enough and were very helpful and friendly. The hotel location wasn't too bad, close enough to shopping etc although it was on a main road noise wasn't really an issue. To conclude I was disappointed with the bed size and the gym.
