"Beautiful ocean side hotel"
It was great!
The room had a balcony that overlooked the gulf and the sunsets were wonderful. My only complaint was the sliding doors on the closet.
Awesome experience. Will be back next year.

My second stay at the resort in 4months. Highly recommended, customer friendly. A little on the pricey side, however well worth every penny spent. 2 visits, 2 absolutely unforgettable weekends. Already planning for the next stay and only been home 5 days.!!!!!

"tradewinds what?"
I paid what I consider to be quite a bit for this room because when I booked it listed all the amenities and restaurants, activities, etc. When I got to the hotel, it was very small and outdated and the "sister" resort, 20 minutes walk away had all the amenities. With the exception of the individual that upgraded my room after I was squished into a […] little closet next door to some lady yelling at her kids, which sounded like she was 3 feet away. Even with a free room upgrade, it wasn't worth it. If you go here, watch out for the pool towel police, they will charge you $15 if you turn the wrong towel into the wrong person on the wrong property. Rediculous. Pročitajte više

Everyone couldn't be nicer. Since the hotel wasn't full they upgraded from a standard to an ocean front room with full kitchen and wonderful view of the ocean. We couldn't have more pleased with our choice of hotels.

The hotel management seems to just want not to be bothered by their guests concerns. The people who work there were unfriendly. The room was small, and carpet dirty. The hotel has trash all along the beach from prior days of partying kids. They just let it sit. It was hard to find a spot on the beach . Not because of overcrowding but because of trash. "C'mon man! This resort is not the Tradewinds!"
Althought the facility was nice the people working there need a good swify kick in the butt. The registration was a painful experience. The guy just did not enjoy his work. Hastled us about an exrra parking pass, over- all bad attitude. The bartenders at the pool bar were incompetent and slow. My girlfriends drink had a bug in it and the bartender rolled […] her eyes and said "I hardly think it is a bug, probably just a speck or a leaf. When we ordered lunch from her she acted like we were putting her out. there were 2 different girls the 2 days we stayed and they were both that way. Parking was atrocious. the beach with gorgeous. the nice pool was for adults only and teenagers were not allowed in the hot tub. this didn't work out well for our family. the room was said to sleep 6 but it was so small that we really had to sleep there and get out of there during the day. We were initially scheduled to stay at the Tradewinds Sandpiper Resort but were moved to their sister facility the Island Grand. The facility was beautiful. The service was excellent. The beach was in good condition and was not too over crowded even during Spring Break. We have four kids ages 15-7. While this hotel has an amazing view, that is where it stops. My hotel room was very humid and damp. I turned up the AC but it didn't make a difference. The hotel room is VERY small. This hotel was easily accessible for my conference as well as beach fun! Room was clean and comfortable with refrigerator and microwave for convenience.

This is one of the better hotels on St. Pete beach. There are a lot of marginal ones, this is much better than those. Very clean and well maintained. Rooms are a bit cramped.

The location was great, right on the beach. We could use the Island Grand sister hotel amenities as well. There was only one public restroom by the pool. It would have been nice if there was one in the lobby as well. Overall, great place for the price.

The entire staff at the Sandpiper was very friendly. I can't remember a time when a staff passed me and didn't say hello or greet me. I was pleasantly surprised and never felt overwhelmed. Overall, the Sandpiper was a nice budget friendly option. No extra frills and a good value for location. I would stay again.

We appreciated how diligently the staff worked on keeping the main areas of the hotel clean. Which can be very hard with so many people tracking in sand, or dripping water from their bathing suits. Since we have 3 little ones, the suites were ideal. It was nice to have 2 areas separate of each other and the kitchenette was a plus. "Wounderful Hotel"
Hotel was overall wounderful but had my granddaughter with me .for a night snack she had a candy bar out of the mini bar and paid $5.50 cents for it. Unexceptable.
