"It could've been cleaner"
The water-park was very nice for kids, however the hosts microphone was way too loud and it was quite annoying. The pool service and room service were nice but very pricey. We were here for Spring Break. We had a rough start because of a large Cheerleading event at the convention center left the hotel ill prepared. They only had king rooms but lots of families with kids. It was frustrating but the staff was friendly and worked hard to make it up to us. Every staff member was amazing. Hotel is beautiful. "Disney Family Springbreak"
This was our first time in the Orlando area and our stay here was wonderful! The hotel is gorgeous and the pools/grounds are amazing. The kids pool is an awesome zero-entry pool so it's great for kids of all sizes (mine are 3, 5, 12). Service was impeccable and friendly. As for Disney, it's literally 5 mins away. We took free shuttle to Magic Kingdom, […] Epcot, Animal Kingdom. Of note, the shuttle leaves exactly on time and not a minute later do if you're late then you'll have to wait 1-2 hours until next one. The hotel has an impressive garden and atrium area with tropical plants and beautiful array of fresh flowers. The kids loved exploring and seeing the baby alligators, turtles and fishes. The only real "negative" about the hotel is that restaurants are expensive! However, Java Coast is a cute pastry shop/coffee shop that was reasonable and Sandbar by the pool was delicious and fairly priced too. We loved the breakfast buffet at Villa Flora but it was pretty pricey. Overall, we would stay in again in a heartbeat and in fact next trip to Disney will be at the Gaylord Palms hands down... We stayed at the hotel based on the Gaylord reputation but we were disappointed. The hotel was huge and we had to wait for everything; valet, delivery of our luggage (at 11pm- with 2 tired kids), restaurant, coffee shop even the front desk regardless of time of day. It is a very nice hotel with very nice central court indoor garden. The self parking is close and covenient. Our family of four stayed for a week. Only one day when the self parking lot was full. "Ice trip"
My family and I went to the Gaylord Palms to see the ice display. I have a 3 month old baby and wasn't going to take her in. There was plenty of things to do outside of ice. We had fun trying to search for all the polar bears! Staff was friendly and the building was clean!
