I think that is needs to be clearer on both the Expedia link and the Concorde Hotel link that there are two Concorde hotels- which are in my opinion very different in the quality. Somehow we were booked into the Concorde Sports Hotel which is not nearly as nice as the "front side" Concorde. The room was smelly, unclean and mold was growing in the shower. […] We then requested and paid for an upgrade to the "front side." The room had recently been remodeled so it was confortable and nice. I also did not like how most announcemnets were in Russian so half of the time the English speaking guests were not informed or included in activities. Our stay at this hotel was a bit disappointing after seeing the previous reviews. When we arrived at the airport there was no shuttle service at the airport and the telephone number that was supplied through our reservation was not connected. We ended up taking at cab to the hotel and when we spoke to the front desk all we got was a shrug of shoulders. […] Check in went very easy and we were introduced to a staff member who was supoosed to escort us to our room...half way to the room the staff member told us to just keep walking and we would eventually get there! The room was nice with a great view of the sea...very pleased that the cot we requested was already in the room and set up. Meals were adequate but nothing impressive..key is to wait about an hour after meal service starts then it is not so crowded and easier to find a seat. We stayed in the front hotel but went to the sports centre one afternoon. Front side is definitely much cleaner, less busy and generally a more relaxed feel. Excellent hotel with a nice view of the water. The all inclusive package consisted of a wide variety of food and drinks. Highly recommended hotel if you like to spend a week in the sun away from work.

Overall, the hotel is very good, has a very nice beach, swimming pools, gym, spa, and all the staff are extremely friendly and provide excellent service, listen to the guests needs, are really helpful and interested in making a very nice holiday for you. The sea is amazing, you can swim all the day and see colourful corals and thousands of fishes. You will have help and support from the staff for everything you need. The only problem is that 96% of the guests are russians who think they are the only nationality staying there on holiday. Russian guests are very rude, dont speak to anyone who doesn't know russian and this may make you feel discriminated. If you don't mind about russians and their attitude, you will have one of your best holidays ever. We only had a minor problem, the room was supposed to be in the non-smoking area, but it had a very strong cigarrete smell, probably because the russians in the next rooms smoked all the day inside their rooms and their smoke came through the ventilation system. We called reception and they immediately changed our room to a much better one. No problems at all in the new room, I really appreciate to have had such a friendly staff, who took immediate action and didn't let our holiday ruin because of those drunk and stupid russians. Hi all, Before going I read some of the reviews and was kinda worried about the hotel. Room, well past prime in desperate need of renovation with horrible mold/mildewy smell in bathroom and fungal smell from air conditioner. This is not a 5*property. Tiny beach area. Beach party at night into wee hours of morning will blast bassy boom boom boom beat into your room and keep you from sleeping. big mistake to stay here, wanted to leave after […] first night, and did leave before completing entire stay. So glad didn't buy into the upgrade to full board food and drink. On positive note, enjoyed the Italian restaurant and room service pizza was reasonably priced for the area which is generally overpriced. Also, when management became aware of dissatisfaction, they did attempt to resolve things, and they do apparently have rooms that don't stink, but not rooms immune from disco noise. Well here is my honest rating.. the hotel has amazing views there are two sections for this hotel with a free running shuttle in between. I will recommend you to stay in the sport section , its much cleaner and better food, you can always take the shuttle and use the other part of the hotel its 3 minutes away. Related to service its top notch , I used […] to work in the hotel business for years and that's by far one of the best I've seen. Related to activities , you won't find more activities than this hotel , I mean they have horse back ridding for god sake..:) , now couple of tips ,, the hotel is located 10 minutes by car from sharm downtown (naama bay) so make sure you arrange transportation and try not to get a joining room as there is plenty of smokers and the cigarette smoke comes from the adjacent room so I had to put a wet towel under that door,, just minor stuff but honestly I stayed in 5 hotels in sharm and this is THE BEST.. enjoy ur trip. What a wonderful holiday experiance. Well kept hotel with amazing staff. Everybody is ready to make you feel at home and like you are the most important guest that there is in the hotel. This hotel looked great from the advertisement on the internet, but after checking in we were shown to our suite, which was basic, shabby and resembled student accomodation. Airconditioning vents above our beds had dirt and dust hanging out of it, paint was peeling of the wall in the room, and the bedding cover was soiled. Staff was friendly . The reception , lounges and restaurant were far from what one can expect from a five start hotel . It was like a 3 star hotel .However, the price was for a five start hotel . The quality of foods was not great but acceptable .

It would be hard to describe the Concorde El Salam Hotel as being 5 star. The hotel rooms need to be renovated and we experienced a number of power cuts during our stay. The rooms were much more basic than expected. The hotel reception's ceiling also partially caved in due to unusually heavy rain and the rain appeared to be cascading through the ventilation […] and airconditioning vents. The outdoor pool also filled with mud from the gardens after the rains. The beach is ok but quite overcrowded and a number of the loungers were broken. The atmosphere of the hotel is best descibed as being rather unsophisticated and many of the clientele are rude and noisy. The staff are generally very pleasant , but service is slow. The food was poor and the breakfast offered no healthy options. Better food in the evening can be found in the nearby Soho Square which offered a few good restaurants (Thai , Chinese , Middle Eastern and Indian). This was a great holiday for our family 3 teenagers and ourselves, plenty to do, room we had was the junior suite which had 2 bathrooms which was fantastic. The room service was geat. Hade förväntat mig mer av femstjärnigt, men gillade att det ändå var lite avslappnat, det är ju trots allt semester. Men något jag inte hade förväntat mig skulle vara avslappnat var servicen... Glömda beställningar, axelryckningar som svar på frågor istället för att löfte om att ta reda på det... Påträngande försäljare på commision (inte alla, men vissa) […] varav en dessutom riktigt otrevlig. Oklart kring utflykter och resmål, vi fick gå 3 ggr för att möta en representant som vi ändå aldrig i slutändan såg röken av. Frukostbuffén var bra. Hotellet i sig selv er egentlig okay, kun godt trænge til en opdatering med denjligt stort flotte pools, og udefra pænt.. - men personalet levede slet ikke optil Egyptens normale standard - Værelset var gammelt, slidt og beskidt - regøringen var ringe - og blev kun toppet af at rengøringsmanden direkte bad om penge. Hele hotellet er opbygget omkring […] konceptet all-inclusive, og der var absolut ingen mulighed for at bestille noget mad i løbet af dagen, hvis ikke du havde lyst til all inclusive, dette til trods for at der var room service, men denne kunne ikke leveres andre steder end på værelset - Man sku jo ellers mene at ku de lave mad til værelset ku det nok også lade sig gøre at få det ved poolen med nej. Maden på buffetterne tilhørende all inclusive var af meget ringe kvalitet, og personalet kunne bedre russisk end engelsk.. Vi overvejede at flytte på 3.dagen.. Rommet var ikke rent da jeg kom. Det var klissete flekker både på TV-benken og nattbordet. Gardinene ved terassedøren var skikkelig skitten og med lebestift flekker. Da jeg kom inn på badet stanket det tisselukt. Jeg gav beskjed i respsjonen om at rommet ikke var rent, men de beklaget ingenting. Jeg merket heller ikkje mye forbedring. Da jeg kommer […] inn på rommet 2 dager senere har rengjøringspersonalet laget en svane av handkle på sengen. Når jeg ser nærmere etter, er det ett skittent handkle de har bruk til å lage svanen med. Skikkelig ekkelt. Jeg gir vanligvis tips når jeg er fornøyd med servicen, men ettersom jeg her ser at servicen blir dårligere og dårligere, skjønner jeg at hele systemet er slik at du må gi tips for å få service. Så jeg begynner å tipse. Det blir litt bedre, men service og komfor på dette hotellet er svært langt det jeg forventer på eit 5 stjernes hotell. Jeg ville ikke ha rangert det til å være mer enn 3 stjerner. I restauranten også var det helt elendig service. Etterhver skjønner jeg at mye av grunnen til at jeg får så dårlig service er at jeg reiser alene som kvinne. Jeg snakket med ett par som forklarte meg det. Viss mannen ba om noe eller gav beskjed om de manglet noe, kom de løpende. Viss dama spurte om noe kunne det ta laaang tid før de fikk respons. Flyplass transport skulle være inkludert og jeg hadde sendt e-post til hotellet på forhånd om hvilken flight jeg kom med, men det var ingen bil fra hotellet som kom og hentet meg. Calme tranquillité, et une vue exceptionnelle. Petit Déjeuner extrêmement varié et copieux ( buffet) et d'excellente qualité. Un personnel très aimable, souriant, et pret a répondre a vos demandes. Seul […] point moins positif pour nous, la présence massive de touristes russes... pas toujours de très bonne compagnie, un tantinet rustre dirais-je. L'albergo è molto bello ma molto grande. Io ho chiesto di stare in una stanza di fronte al mare e penso che sia stata una ottima scelta, anche se il costo è maggiore. La locazione è ottima anche se l'accesso al mare richiede di salire e scendere un dislivello notevole che sotto il sole di agosto richiede un certo sforzo e determinazione. Le piscine […] e le attrezzature per lo sport ed il tempo libero sono molto belle, la foto del sito mostra quello che veramente abbiamo trovato. L'animazione è presente ma non invadente. Il cibo lascia una scelta abbastanza ampia. Forse per un italiano, il risorante italiano è molto limitato ma la qualità è buona. Io consiglio di non fare la °full board° perchè a me piace variare ed il buffet, nonostante sia molto vario, alla fine stufa. Allora conviene farlo solo per le bibite gratuite. La parte degli sport dell'albergo è fantastica, una navetta abbastanza regolare unisce le due metà della proprietà, inoltre c'è veramente la possibilità di fare molto anche se non si ama il mare. Ci sono campi per fare diversi sport, compresa una pista di pattinaggio su ghiaccio e due per andare a cavallo. Il personale è stato tutto molto disponibile e gentile, ancora di più dopo una bella mancia. In generale è stata una ottima vacanza anche senza uscire dal residence. Piccolo neo: la nostra unità aveva le serrature delle vetrate rotte, quindi erano sempre aperte, ma ci siamo fidati del personale che è sempre presente e non abbiamo subito nessuna "incursione".
