The room is very big. Though the decoration is a bitter old, still under good maintenance. Staff is friendly, but may make some small mistake. Breakfast is good, including a lot of local food, you can try it, with good taste. Swimming pool is big, also has a small kid playground.

The room was nice, we had a two bedroom apartment and appreciated the fruit platter provided upon check-in. Would have enjoyed our stay much more had internet access been free. Our stay was great - its the best in the area. The kitchenette are out-dated and also TV's are old but in general the rooms are clean. Breakfast buffet was okay better off than going somewhere else.

Overall this hotel was good. Room for improvement tho. Staff where very friendly and helpful. We had a 3 bedroom suite for 5 ppl. When we arrived there was an extra charge for 3 ppl. At the time of the booking i stated 5 ppl on booking form and options i got was this 3 bedroom suite. So then why charge extra ?? Not happy with that complained to manager […] and was told speak to your agent who booked. (Hotel.com) Still had to pay ... for 2 rather than 3. Got charged £400 extra for 8 nights. Work on 27th floor woke us every morning at 8am. Not good. Daily Complaints only got heard after 3 days. Room service was a little slow as well. The Hilton Residence is actually a long-term residential complex which also doubles as a hotel. As a result, most of the guests we ran into were or had plans to stay there for many weeks/months. For us, the stay was only for four days. The benefit of a property like this is that you are staying in an apartment rather than a hotel room. Thus, there's […] a living area; a kitchen; and, in our case, two bedrooms and two baths for the three of us. There was also a washing machine which we welcomed. The apartment was very spacious and gave us plenty of room to spread out. We really did not use the kitchen since our desire was to explore the local cuisine rather than to cook. Everything in the apartment was in good working order and we felt really comfortable there. The Hilton Residence is off the beaten track in Colombo and you will need transport to get to most of the desired locations in the city. Thankfully, the property offers a car service which is reasonably priced. There is a grocery store next to the hotel and this is convenient for stocking up on water and snacks. There's also a mall attached to the Hilton which includes an English-style pub, dessert/coffee cafe, and Japanese restaurant. The staff was friendly and responsive to our requests; the restaurant served good food but not really "local" cuisine; the fitness center was really nice as was the pool area. We only stayed one night in Colombo after holidaying in Mirissa and Ella. The hotel buffet was amazing - so much choice and all so beautifully presented. Friendly, helpful hotel staff too. Live band was a pleasant bonus.

What can I say... I loved this hotel, it was more than I was expecting. The staff went above and beyond to help with anything. The rooms were spacious, had a kitchen if wanted to prepare your own food (a supermarket right next to the hotel as well), great view of the Beira Lake, complimentary bottle of wine, home made cookies and fruit on arrival, also […] got a complimentary cheese and crackers plate a couple days later. I was very sad to be leaving this place. I arrived at 8.30am and check in was not til 2pm, however after arriving at the hotel they checked to see if my room was free and since it was they let me go to my room a long time before check in. Which was greatly appreciated as I was exhausted from travelling. Oh and another thing, when booking this hotel I was choosing between two, the only thing I didn't like about this hotel was it said it had an indoor pool, however its pool is outdoors. I've rated this hotel as superb and this was our second visit. Suites are massive, 2 bedroom 2 bathroom, kitchen, massive lounge diner, utility room with washer/dryer. Wifi is available free in all areas of the Hotel even by the lovely pool but you do have to pay for it in your rooms. (£2.50 a day# Food is excellent both in the restaurants and on room service. Compliments to the Chefs who were brilliant. Sri Lankans are very friendly people by nature but at the Hilton they go above and beyond, so attentive, always asking if there was anything they can do for you, opening doors, generally making you feel special. We were there over the Sri Lankan New Year which is dry #no alchohol) but we were still allowed alchohol on room service when you could not get elsewhere. They even had a special Sri Lankan New Year celebration which we were invited to attend, Sri Lankan dancing and drums and lighting candles for the New Year followed by a special breakfast. The entire stay at the Hilton Colombo Resdience was a total delight . The staff could not do enough to help and whenever help of any sort was asked for the response was immediate . The bottle of wine was off. The server who came to examin it in my room took it upon himself (without asking) to conduct his own tests. One of my guests was a QA Manager at a distellery yet the server questioned his opinion. This resulted in a very embarrasing moment. Management follow through was not to Hilton Standards.

The suite was great, although the furniture was quite old, but in good condition. Very spacious and cozy. Nice view from the 22 floor. Tasty food! It was a pleasant stay. Good value for money. We'd like to stay there longer if there was anything else to do in Colombo.

Очень рекомендую. Огромные номера. У нас был на 4ых номер 140 метров на 22 этаже. (всего 33 этажа-последние 2 это пентхаусы); огромный хол с двумя зонами отдыха. Кухня отдельно (есть все кроме почему то микроволновки) . 2 Ванны с туалетом . Три спальни. Инет идеальный за плату небольшую. 400 рупий 24 часа.(доллар 125 стоит). Очень всем советую, ну разве кроме одного, а что вообще делать в Коломбо больше одного дня...а нечего вообще, ну если не выходить из номера конечно..Хотелось посмотреть столицу. Брали 3 дня (2 ночи) а в Коломбо смотреть нечего!!! Поехали на экскурсию по острову в итоге.
