American Host Motel - West Yarmouth

The hotel is all renovated, clean, great for short stays. Close to the beach, restaurants, mini golf and a lot of things to do near by. The staff was helpful and everything was good.

The room was as clean as was possible for the structure. If I was able to view the room prior to my stay I would not have booked the room. The mattress was a cheap one and was not comfortable. Great hotel for the price. The room was clean, bed comfy and service was excellent. Breakfast, although nothing fancy, was fair with hot coffee, cereal, and muffins. Our request for extra pillows was attended to immediately. The kids enjoyed the heated indoor pool.

It was the absolute best price over the internet for a one night stay. It was worth the price. Our primary goal was a reasonable overnight room. The be was comfy. And even though we didn't partake,there were some sweets and cereal for breakfasts. Other people gave this place a bad rap. However, they did prepare me to bring my own shampoo.

NO shampoo or hair dryers. Breakfast was white bread and weak coffee. Very unattractive place. Swimming pool more like a goldfish bowl.

I think the cleanliness of the room could have been much better. The room is fine for just an overnighter but not for a weeks vacation. The people in the main office were very pleasant. I was surprised as there was no shampoo in the room as I forget to pack for my trip.

Check in went fast but not overly friendly,It rained at night and getting into the car we had to step in puddles,poor drainage.When we checked out we gave him the room key cards and he said we were all set,he did not ask how our stay was or have a nice day or come back soon.

That's all you get so don't expect shampoo, soap or even a coffee maker. Just be fortunate if you get 2 pillows and a mattress. Tub was dirty. A dirty towel left on the bed. Toilet ran all night. Probably wanted to run out of there as well.

I knew we were in trouble when as we pulled up we saw a man on his knees pulling dust and filth out of a vacuum cleaner more than 30 years old. While they clearly vacuum daily and use strong chemicals to clean daily, it cannot cover up the smell of urine. The staff was super nice and accomodating. It's not a luxurious place, but exactly what you need, very clean, and so close to downtown hyannis. We loved it.

Cool, old-school. Quaint. We had to wait half an hour for our room to be ready when we had a reservation so they knew we were coming way in advance. That was pretty annoying, especially in the evening when you are tired already. Bot otherwise it was good.

Room clean and nice, well maintained. Swipe key kept not working and had to be reconfigured at office regularly, that was pretty annoying but otherwise we were happy. Nice location too.

Okay for the price, I stayed here for one night. They advertise as they have complementary breakfast, but it is pathetic food arranged on tiny table. No place to sit and eat breakfast, you need to carry your breakfast to your room. Provide good wireless internet. Recommend if you are looking for cheap motel for one night.

I went for a road trip in New England states, the hotel is the ugliest & yet I paid more than the other hotel. went there for pool and hot tub to have a romantic weekend with my honey but when we went to use the hot tub it was out of order and the pool was freezing. we also had trouble with the doors sticking even when the green light was on....so getting in or out of the room was difficult and annoying. wont be back.

If you want a room on the Cape that is not expensive, and don't expect a five star hotel, than American Host is the place to stay. Good Motel for the amount that we paid. The main room was ok. The bathroom was very old and not at all up dated.It was way to small and not in good shape. The people who worked at the Motel were very nice. I would recommanded it, but they need ti improved the room a lot.
