The location of this hotel is very good. Near the main street but do not have the crowd or traffic. The staff and personnel are friendly. excellent hotel. comfortable rooms and veryhelpful staff. great location. hotel is a couple of blocks from sol plaza which is the centerof the city where all the metro trains meet. can take the train anywhere you want, but don't really need to. all of the major sights are within walking distance.

Great location as far as getting to places. Quiet room. The neighborhood is a bit questionable but overall great - lots of people and a little hard to find your way around. But I would stay here again. Great staff.

The Hotel Liabeny was a great hotel. It was centrally located to everything for ease of getting around. The decor in the hotel was very modern and up to date. Th service was excellent as well. The only complaint I had is that the rooms were quite cold and you could not turn the heat on in the room. This hotel was very nice. We didn't eat in the restaurant but the bar was a nice place to end the day and plan the next. The location was very good - right in the middle of shopping and close to the metro.

Impressive hotel for a good price, located right in the heart of Sol, Madrid. We had a room facing the church and it was pretty quiet at night. Concierge were friendly and helpful. Full hotel amenities including toothbrush/toothpaste as our luggage was delayed.

Overall we could not fault the hotel on service, cleanliness, location etc. Also d beds were gigantic! The only thing i would say is that d bedroom decor is slightly dated, especially d bathroom.

The service at the front desk was great. Accidentally brought the wrong phone charger and they let me borrow a UK -> EU adapter for just a 3 euro deposit. Was only here for one night and overall, the stay was great. However, I was in the middle of changing clothes around 5pm when somebody just randomly entered my room. For the rest of my stay, I wondered if it was the cleaning crew, or somebody who had a key to my room and was there to steal my belongings. Would have ranked a 4 if not for this huge blunder. We had a 2 day stop in Madrid between business events and choose this hotel based on location. Its an older hotel, so the rooms are dated, but good enough if you want to get out of the hotel and see the city. The location is fantastic and you can walk to basically anything you want to see in the city. Wonderful stay. Rooms are clean. Staff are very accomodating. Concierge assisted us in getting train (Ave) tickets, tours, places to visit, etc. Hotel is located at the center, walking distance to almost everything you need to see.

We stayed 4 days and the hotel was good, though not what we expected from a 4-star with such great guest ratings. The front desk and concierge service were excellent, however restaurant service was less spectacular. The furniture was comfortable and the decor very tasteful. There were a few minor/cosmetic maintenance items in the bathroom, and a stain […] on the carpet detracted from the otherwise very clean room. Our room was on the first floor which got a lot of noise from the pedestrian area outside; our children's room on the 5th floor wasn't affected by the noise. Excellent location near many sights and shps, restaraunts etc. Very clean hotel although a little old fashioned and very helpful concierge. It is a little annoying they only seem to do twin beds not doubles but that would be my only criticism. We didn't eat there so I can't comment on the quality of the restaraunt but the bar was fine.

Hotel was quick to get to from the airport, and easy to get a taxi to airport for my return. Staff were wonderful and ready to help. Room is clean and well-kept but small as you can expect from European hotels. WiFi is free so made it simple to do low level e-mail checks. I would consider it a 3 star, not 4 star hotel.

Great location if you are interested in sightseeing the old Madrid on foot. It is within walking distance to all major attractions (palace, cathedrals, museums, Retiro park, landmark plaza with magnificant gates and fountains). 2 minutes to the metro which take you anywhere in the city, including the airport with moderate cost (compared to, like, London). […] Many many choices of restaurants, pubs, coffee shops (including 2 Starbucks) and eateries in vicinity. The Plaza de Sol just down the street is like the Time Square, with a lot of people milling around at all hours and many street performers and mimes, a fun place to watch people! The hotel is old style but is upkept well with modern amenities. The bed and pillows are very comfortable, room size is moderately big (in European standard), the bathroom is good size, even with a separate 'sink' to wash your behind afterward, some thing not seen very often. Good postion...apart from 2 metro changes from airport...metro very easy to understand. Really convenient position....our rooms faced a pedestrian strreet and was very quiet. Staff very friendly...linen superb..bathroom was tired but evertthing worked perfectly..

We enjoyed our stay and Hotel Liabeny. The hotel is luxurious, clean, quiet and has a good selection of English TV channels. The highlight for us was the location which is only a few minutes walk from the Plaza Major area. We highly recommend this hotel.

Best location right in the middle of Madrid central. Tons of things to see within walking distance. There were 3 of us and the room size was big consider it's in downtown Madrid. The hotel is pretty well kept but you can tell the hotel's been around. But the room is very nice and clean.

The room was very comfortable (although avoid those with windows opening on to the central well as they are very dark and rather airless). Staff were generally surly and unhelpful. Breakfast was not good value for money although there are lots of alternative options in the area.

The hotel has a great location close to transport and so many places to eat! The staff at the hotel were unobtrusive but always pleased to assist when asked. The hair dryer in the room did not work which was very annoying but that did not spoil my otherwise very pleasant stay.

My husband and I had a wonderful time. Our room was elegant, very clean and comfortable. Hotel staff was kind and helpful. The location in city center was close to all sights, ground transportation and tour pick-up points. We will stay at this hotel when we return to Madrid.

Well equipped, beautifully furnished hotel in an excellent location, combined with friendly staff and free wifi. We spent three nights here and I would definitely consider staying here again. Very close to Sol square (and the metro station) which is the geographical centre of Madrid and Spain. Highly recommended!

We stayed at the Liabeny for one day on our way to Seville.....it complied with our needs....two blocks from metro station SOL for airport ...the room, NO. 503 was ready, nice and clean and very quiet and reasonably priced.
